To anyone who doesn’t know, they weren’t wasted drunk, THEY WERE ON ACID - balls of steel.
I mean they quite obviously weren't at ego death levels, but still yeah.
"ego death" is a BS concept to try to describe a realization that human perceptions (a real thing) can also be a part of a math model (a real thing, too - unlike engineering)
And that's why human intelligence is more artificial than artificial intelligence. Drooling is not ego death. And breathing ruthlessly and being aligned with your own nature (the real acid) just feels great.
I love how excited Trey was after the audience yelled “TIMMEEEHHH”
He looked like he was tripping again at that moment

Well, imagine fighting with the damn network for the millionth time after you’ve always been right before about people generally getting that it’s a joke. How exhausting that must be and what an absolute bummer to have to beg like that for your art. Then flash to the moment when the whole audience just shouts out the joke like that. I’d be pretty victoriously gleeful too.

Such an insane idea. Anyone who's done psychedelics know just how fucked up you get during the first 2-3 hours after you feel the effect start to come on and to be trapped in some weird award ceremony being the centre of attention is like the perfect recipe for a horrible time if your mind takes you there. Fortunately, I don't think the hit was pretty heavy.

@@OriginalMindTrick regardless if it’s heavy, environment plays a huge part in the effects of a drug and is often the result for heroin overdoses in heavy users using in somewhere different than their usual “spot”. it makes for an insane trip to be out in public versus at home in bed, i personally prefer the rush on acid of an intense situation.
And then they won the MTV Movie Awards’ Best Song and Tray in his acceptance speech said: “I would like to thank the fans for not even nominating Phil Collins!” 😂
These guys are already geniuses, but their Oscars appearance made them legendary!
@Saquon Barkley Trey does write most of the show. However, Matt does the business and political side of the show in the sense that he deals with all the lawsuits, political bs and negotiations that the show gets and requires.
Both of them are worth 700 million a piece. They should be billionaires by now. Genius is an understatement.

Honestly Timmy is a terrific character. The kids include him in everything and treat him like the others. They even look out for him, in the episode “Proper condom use” the kids make sure Timmy is protected too 👍 I say high-five for inclusivity!
Comedy that was so ahead of its time, these two deserve so much credit for so much that followed and is still praised for its relevance to this day.
When I was on a war game exercise in the military we yelled out "Timmy" as a call sign for more ammo. We had the 'enemy' stumped to what we were on about and had a good laugh at the same time.
