    The armored version isn't because of scratches. It's for people who crawl around in tight spaces and don't want the tool falling out. More difficult to take it out is the whole idea.

      I've had this sheath since it was released. It's awesome. I wouldn't change to the armoured version but I can tell you that it's not just for these two things - it's actually mostly to protect your walls and doors from the tool itself, not the other way round 😂.

    In 8 minutes you have validated the the Zapwizard Sheath. He's going to be bombarded by requests & orders if isn't already. With what's available today, it's limitless to what can be achieved in the after market world. Lets pray some big company doesn't buy him out. Great vid & thanks for sharing mate from Australia.

    Ah he got it!!! The sheath is potentially better designed than the tool lol! If only Leatherman was as innovative with their sheaths and accessories.

    This would probably be the 1 I would get, if I get the Arc. I just picked up the Bond and I actually really like it. I am going to use the Bond until the cutter issue is fixed. I broke another pair of cutters, which this would be the 3rd pair of cutters I broke in a year on my Knifeless Rebar. The Bond has almost bulletproof cutters. I cut the same bailing wire and welding wire that broke my Knifeless Rebar cutters and the Bond looks no different from new. The bailing wire is pretty thin, so I am shocked about that. I am just glad that they acknowledged the problem and said that they are going to fix it. Leatherman makes some of the best multitools and my Uncle always carried a PST, Supertool, or Wave all the time, but he was looking forward to the Arc, but sadly he passed away right before Thanksgiving. I kinda feel like I'm carrying a similar PST that he used alot, when I carry my Bond. The acoustic noises on the Bond is awesome. I also can't wait to try the 1 hand everything Arc. When I get it, I will probably order this sheath right away. Thanks for sharing. 😀

      Thoughts and prays for the passing of your uncle. I love the Leatherman Bond. The slip joints are the best I've seen. They implements are firmly sitted and sturdy when in use. I was using the Bond and Curl from late last winter to this fall. I miss them and the Wave in the dresser drawer. I've been using the Arc since its release and like it. Its been reliable as any other Leatherman but I'm just as happy to have my Rev on me as a back up. I'm committed to using the Arc for at least six months to justify the money spent😁

      Thank you both for your kind words. Last I looked, the Leatherman replacement cutters were out of stock, so that gives me hope that they are in the process of making new cutters. The Bond does almost feels like it locks the tools open, which is amazing. I am glad I got it. The more I have been talking with my Aunt, the more I am glad that my Uncle isn't in misery. My Aunt misses him but she said that he is in a better place. This doesn't feel like Christmas this year. I hope you both have a happy holiday.

    Have been hoping for an armored version for the Garage 5 version, as the multitool (on mine) keeps wanting to slide out in the open faced sheath. Ended up putting a band of Gorilla Tape up top to help stop this tool migration. Might be due to me being a larger man and the tool rubs on more things.
    Had asked if the Garage 005 would fit into an armored Arc sheath, and was told it would not work. So much for that idea.

    I've been carrying the stock sheath with half of the bit kit for outdoor tasks. I put all other tools except the Rev away. Its been doing just fine. My go to outdoor carry is the Super Tool 300 and the Surge. Is the Arc, as tough? We'll find out. I use it gingerly not harshly!

    this was an excellent video and I myself have been very indecisive as to whether to buy the victorinox Swiss tool MX clip which is the bigger version or the Leatherman Arc and the Leatherman Arc seems like an amazing tool but I did hear about the issues with the wire cutters for the pliers but then I researched even further and it looks like Leatherman did fix the issue so I have not owned either except for years ago I had a Swiss army knife and I do like that victorinox's multi-tools and blades are very chromium plated which gives it a very good mirror shine and also protects it from corrosion and I know the sounds funny but the victorinox tools don't seem to have a very strong metallic smell I think because of the high amount of chromium in the metal as with the Leatherman multi-tools that I have played around with as far as the wave plus and the surge just seem to have a real high metallic smell and I don't know if that can be something that goes away in time or you can apply some kind of polish compound to dissipate that smell and to also give it a better corrosion resistance? And looking forward to hearing back from you and again this review was very good

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks! I would pick the Victorinox Swisstool if you want it for tougher task. The Leatherman Arc seems to be a lot easier to use for every day task like opening boxes or tightening a loose cupboard door. Overall the Victorinox Swisstool probably is more tougher but the Arc is easier and a tiny bit more pocketable

      @@hvacbudget8600 thank you for the input and I actually am a maintenance technician/handyman for a living and I read that the victorinox Swiss tool MX clip is heavy duty but that the tools can be hard to get out of the handles but there is another gentleman that does reviews and he does reviews on multi-tools like you do and he was able to take a flathead screwdriver and loosen up the springs so that way the tools were able to come out much easier and not be too loose to where they fall out but it seems like more people are recommending the Leatherman ARC and it definitely looks better for ease of use so that's why I'm very like conflicted as to which multi-tool to buy but it won't be needed for like heavy duty stuff it'll be more for like if I need to saw something or if I need to use the pliers for something or if I need the Phillips head to screw something or the flathead so pretty much just for everyday maintenance for/handyman work, and looking forward to hearing back your reply, sincerely Jason

    It isn't advertised for it, but will the Barnacle Bit fit the Leatherman Curl with its handle curvature? Also, is the Barnacle capable of retaining the 711L ratchet alongside the multitool? Thanks as always for being the encyclopedia of multitools!

    Leather man still make great multi tools but several other companies have gone modular. You can customize a multi tool to your exact need. No Leatherman does this. Also too expensive.
