I don't get it
Out of 7 puppies, Blue (Loki) was the dominant/alpha one. After Blue left, Moon started to become more dominant and want to take charge of the pack, that's why he humped Storm who is the dominant and showed domination to any new dog coming around.
He became more "dominant" as he got more possessive of Joey
Wolfie is the pack leader and Moon humped him as well. Moon actions, if not trained, could turn into aggressive behaviour towards not only the dogs, but humans as well as the owners.

My dog is the same had issues a lot of dogs do this he just needs training and consistent correcting so he knows and it is better to start now. Plus Lark might be teaching them biting when she bites them so hard. I know puppies bit though mine did for a while he thought it was playing so we had to train that and the humping and we got him fixed
Hi Sara, no not just you. Moon isnât trained at all; Joey and Daniel havenât taught either pup the word âNoâ or even sit. Untrained animals of any species are just not pleasant to be around. Shadow seems to be more calm. Joey sees all of these human emotions in the pups.

S J It wouldnât only upset them but doing that it would upset Maria in return. Sure you might want to inflict emotions on someone but you have to remember why people were Red Stans. It was all for Maria, Joey and Daniel continue to bully her and they stand up for her. Just like when Joey wouldnât let her name her own bloody dog. I myself am a Green Stan and many agreed that he was the right choice. It became even more ridiculous when he started making up excuses why some dogs could had to leave and teal was the only one left. Literally pathetic
@@sashamaksimovic6721 Well, if it was because they wanted that for Maria, then that's not the issue with me. My problem are the people who literally only care about the puppies looks. I don't have a favorite but seeing any of the puppies getting hate of any form bothers me. Green wasn't the one they bonded with so we knew for a fact he wasn't an option, which I'm honestly glad because Green now has a home that can give him all the attention he needs/deserves. I'm not saying Joey's reasonings were the best but it's obvious how much they both really love Moon. It was extremely difficult for them to get rid of Luna, it's not fair for them to give up the only other puppy they really had a strong connection with.
Part of picking a dog is connecting with them. Its not as serious as how the dog will act with other dogs, but it's still an important factor. People immediately just say that Joey picked Moon and that was that but it's perfectly clear that Daniel chose him too. What if they did keep any of the other puppies BUT weren't as happy? Sure, they'd love them unconditionally but in the end, I know they would've regretted giving Moon away. People don't care about Joey and Daniel's feelings in the matter. They can stand up and basically say that Shadow should stay with Maria, but very people even care that maybe Moon IS right for them with proper training? People need to stop blaming the dog, attacking the dog, saying shit about the dog, when it's the OWNERS responsibility. I'll even go as far to say that I believe Daniel is the more responsible one and I wouldn't doubt that they're working on training Moon.
Its honestly heartbreaking to see Joey and Daniel's "fans" give them shit about the dog THEY CHOSE. If it bothers you or anyone else so damn much, quit watching the videos.

Help Joey notice this, when a boy dog humps another itâs showing domination. But, there have been signs of gay dogs but theres more of chance of the boy dog dominating the other BOY dog. Moon probably dominated Red aka Shadow, and a new dog coming Moon wants to show who the boss is. Now, I think Blue used to be the dominate boi. But all the puppers left and now, Teal, can dominate Shadow and everybody else. Like how Moon had humped Wolfy possibly because Wolfy is the dominate of the other dogs and Moon wants to be the boss.

As someone who has had 3 dogs at the same time for many years (some died and gotten new as well so not the same dogs) and has a father whoâs a dog trainer this is completely natural in my experience and is nothing to really worry about unless moon of course actually harms the other dogs. Once our âAlfaâ got sick it was a natural response for our other dogs to try to become the next one and they would kinda push her around and annoy her and test her and argue a bit but they never really harmed each other. I can totally see why this would seem worrisome for others and maybe others have other experiences with this but for us who has had idk 9 dogs over the years Iâve been alive itâs been completely fine for us. To me it seems like Wolf is the current Alfa and the role usually gets passed down from my experience. We only have female dogs but we have had these experiences a lot. I guess itâs up to the owners but for us at least itâs been more damaging to get between them. If it gets bad we stop them of course but we usually let it go itâs way. Our dog Bella used to be the Alfa then she got sick and her daughter became Alfa after a few years our dog sika became Alfa and then she died now our dog Fia is Alfa. They all get along perfectly fine but sheâs quick to show whoâs boss. I have a strong feeling moon is gonna be the next Alfa in their pack and I hope that after reading this maybe at least some people wonât necessarily see this as a bad thing. Itâs really up to Joey and Daniel what they wanna do âșïž

I think moon wouldâve done really well as an only dog. He seems to be overly dominating still .
Shadowâs âlaid backâ demeanor seems more fitting for a pack .

I agree that moon would be better as an only dog
Dogs humping like that is a show of dominance. Heâs not doing it to get off. He needs to be a minimum of six months for his hormones to develop enough for this to be a sexual thing. Moon was extremely possessive as a young puppy and heâs only getting more possessive. Please snuff this behaviour out while you still can, because this can cause a fight between him and your other dogs. Laughing and pointing encouraged him to do this as well and that may lead to it being a compulsive habit in the future, so bare that in mind. In some cases dogs do this for play, but the fact that he decided to hump a new dog in the pack indicates that heâs trying to solidify that heâs higher in the pack ranking. Even if Moon does this for play later down the line, it can be misconstrued as a show of dominance by the other dogs and could potentially get Moon or the other dogs hurt.
Ayda Moftah He isnât doing any training, house training, or socializing. Honestly I donât know how he didnât mess up his other dogs more but to be honest his other dogs have issues too. Moon will likely end us worse as far as behavior goes without training.
Finley The Golden honestly, I wouldnât get so involved in how he approaches training his dogs normally because if he ends up with a badly behaved dog, why would I care? But he has a massive young audience that may think that having a dog is as easy and cute as he makes it out to be. It scares me to think that some of these kids may go get themselves a dog and that same dog will end up in a shelter or in subpar living conditions.
Finley The Golden They already started their training . These vlogs are a lot behind. In Instagram they showed that puppies are already inside, they started cage training for Moon, Maria for Red.And they already are going for a walks.

He trains them, but does not film it, and my dog humps ALOT he is 1 year old, and we are training him to stop, but the problem is that itâs illegal to neuter dogs in Norway...

I hope that you get moon training for all that mounting itâs a sign of dominance and can turn into aggression if heâs not the most dominant dog. I have a husky/ German Shepard mix and she canât be around any dogs now because of aggression mounting as she got older to show dominance. You can look it up to see for yourself how mounting is a sign of aggression if theyâre doing it to multiple dogs. Just trying to help before it gets too much and then you canât have him around any dog.
So true. And Especially with storm having a dominant attitude. Moon will definitely need training but also constant training so you can't just got to puppy school then that will be it. Because he'll soon try and get away with things. And if he's going to go to day care like the other 3 and there's a dog there that he wants to dominate it could cause a fight and that will be bad for Joey, Daniel and the other dogs owners as well as the day care company
XBS Ireland I was just saying it can turn into aggression if theyâre not trained properly. So yes they will need the training and proper socialization. Iâm not sure how a personal experience is a false statement. I even had a trainer tell me this as well.

The humping isn't sexual whatsoever. Its dominance. Moon should be taught to stop that behaviour sooner rather than later so he doesn't try to dominate the rest of the pack when he is grown.

Itâs actually good keeping shadow and moon separated. Puppies can get littermate syndrome when kept together all the time. Itâs cute as puppies, but when theyâre adult dogs it can transform into aggression. The extreme separation anxiety and potential aggression when protecting each other can be a huge issue for owners and the other dogs.

Like a million other people in the comments said, the humping on Moon's part is a sign of dominance. If he gets bigger and he goes after Wolfie then that can really hurt him. After all Wolfie's hips aren't in the best of condition due to his old age. Wolfie is too precious to get hurt!

Y'all have to remember this is Moons first friend so he just doesn't know the proper way to behave, I'm sure Joey went through this with his other 3 and he of course wouldn't let him do it to random dogs or continue to do it to his own,it's natural and it always happens so that's why they find it funny. He'll grow out of it and the others will tell him when they've had enough. You can see Finn getting after him and he stops for a little bit, he will learn to stop
Still, Joey has had dogs before in the past. Especially Wolf, so I presume he's aware of the dominance issue. But the humping wasn't the only dominance display Moon has brought to the table. Joey should know that Moon is extremely dominant and should've started stopping the behavior already, but he hasn't. And either way if it's his first friend or not, Moon is still going to try and dominate them. Besides, Moon will probably not learn the proper way to handle dogs ever especially with Joey laughing and encouraging Moon to continue such behavior. If it's not apparent Joey would probably let his dog get away with murder because Moon is his favorite. So like, yeah, that's why everybody is arguing about it in the comments.

Lark didn't get the necessary time with her puppies before 8 weeks and it is showing. It made her nuts being kept away and her pups didn't get all the lessons and discipline they need to be sound dogs. He was warned a lot.

too late sadly.. Joey posted a video of how Moon and Shadow fought each other and it got so bad the dogs were tearing each others skin. Joey got rid of Shadow, and personally that made no sense since Moon had been showing problems especially in this video. I just wish Joey saw your comment and all the others.
@@katrix- Joey said that he looked into rehoming moon too but I think he couldn't find a friend to take him so he could still see him considering shadow was literally taken to a different state đ€đ€·ââïž

Ok first, they are puppies and there is no reason to come after Joey, heâs new at this, and the dogs are all fine in the future. They donât have to do anything so chill the heck out. And if you do suggest be nice about it. They are trying their best.

Lark is mom, which makes Daniel and Joey the grandpas. This means that Wolfie and Storm are Uncles, and Maria is great grandma.
Daniel and Joey are dads, which makes Wolfie and Storm the brothers and lark is now sister. OR, still mom. But also Sister?
For Shadow, if Maria is mom, that makes Daniel and Joey brother and brother-in-law, Wolfie and storm cousins, and I guess lark could still be mom but really sheâd also be a cousin.
Guys this is joeyâs fourth time training a puppies so Iâm sure he knows what heâs doing. No need to turn into vets and behavioral therapists in the comments.
When we got our puppy she would try to hump my husbands leg and I discussed with him that she needed to learn her place and he needed to be more dominant or she could become aggressive. She now knows her place. The sooner behaviour is noticed and training begins the better. You also need to stop Lark from bullying the puppies or you will find her behaviour becoming more aggressive towards them. You and Daniel now need to be the dominant ones and use the word no more then reward good behaviour.
Itâs actually proven that rewarding good behavior works MUCH better than just telling them no. Not saying that I donât say no to my dog but I wouldnât knock positive reinforcement

I agree. My dog used to hump us when we first got him then we trained him and got him fixed and he only humped stuffed animals but rarely.
Also my Aunts dog is a female and she never got her fixed and she humps. I think training them and fixing them is the best things you can do. But they need to get a trainer to make sure they are doing this right and responding right to stuff

When I was really little, my dad would play his guitar and we would sing this song called "Moonshadow." I said that one day I wanted to own a horse and name it Moonshadow! I still want to!
It's so cool that you guys picked these names for the puppies. They fit them perfectly! I love the bond between Moon and Shadow. It's so hard to see them separated.
I have a female cattle dog mix. Sheâs super sweet and loving and never causes trouble, and one day we had to babysit another dog around her age (she was only around a year or so when this happened), and the other dog just barged right into the house and started chewing all her toys. Thankfully, my dog isnât toy possessive and shares her toys. But the others dogs energy was very strong and chaotic compared to my dogs laid back, âslowerâ energy. My dog walked right over to the dog we were babysitting and humped it to show dominance. The other dog got the point but we scolded my dog a lot since a lot can actually branch out from that. Since that incident, sheâs actually nipped a few people and gets fed up with dogs a lot more quickly. Sheâs still a very good dog but it all started right after that, most likely because she realized how easy it was to quickly become dominant. She hasnât done it for a year now (sheâs over 2) because we quickly corrected the behavior. However, to see Joey let Moon get away with all this makes me worried, since my dog started getting more nippy and aggressive with other dogs RIGHT after that. I think Moon would have been a much better fit for a household with only him, since I already know heâs going to get into big trouble with wolfie or even Storm eventually. When they say that they are âworking on itâ but then laugh and point and even make up a story while heâs humping another dog makes it clear than Moon isnât getting the message, because everything theyâre doing can be translated into praise.
