Needed this thank you! Came across the exact issues you’re mentioning in the video with my AutoBoat. Hoping to it get corrected next time I get out on the water. I really do appreciate your guy’s customer service for making this video and emailing me about it.
Just a small correction on the "10%" speed increments, the app readouts are as follows:
0, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. Having fun with mine!

I’m having an issue when having the trolling motor follow a track. After starting a track if I minimize the app or lock my phone screen the trolling motor goes to speed 0 and I have to use the remote to turn the speed back up. It gets pretty annoying when I’m trying to check the map to see where at in a track I am. Any fix for this? Seems like a bug in the software
Questions about tracking, once you mark a manual track to follow how do you adjust or modify the speed or anchor? And if you anchor while tracking how do you stop anchor and continue your track? Thanks!

Please add a tutorial on setting up autoboat on a stern mounted trolling motor. Your tutorial is based on a bow mounted motor. Very different experience.
I used my finger to draw the line to the spot but what is the next step? I don’t know how to make my autoboat to start and follow my draw map. Can you make another tutorial to show us?

Just got one from you and I love it. I have a question. If I put it on the rear of the kayak and put it in reverse instead of Speed 5 would that give you the Navigation. Weird question but trying to get ready for a kayak tournament at Guntersville and my kayak has the mounting in the rear for a motor but not the front.

very dissapointed with tutorials,spotlock is easy, but what does cruise do and explain how the stay on heading works, I need more explanation on plotting tracks and fishing spots,like how toerase previous tracks and start over.
I agree we need a tutorial for the advanced features. TBN mentioned in the comments here that this video took a long time to make so im sure another one for the advanced features doesnt sound fun to make for TBN. However if they really want to show off the cool stuff that autoboat can do i feel like a video needs to be done and it will be worth the effort and im sure it will help sell more autoboat units.

My phone app does not allow for any manual control. Not speed nor turning. It will anchor and cruise but that's it. Android pixel 8s

WILL THIS WORK ON AN 80LB THRUST TROLLING MOTOR?
Do you have to disconnect it from the battery after every trip? Or will the unit shut off and stop drawing power? Mine arrives tomorrow. My trolling motor already has its own breaker as well
The GPS unit continues to draw power (LED flashes). Therefore, disconnecting the yellow connector is required. I have to remove the battery/blackbox assy from the kayak to charge the battery so, that takes of that. I store the trolling motor/ GPS unit in my SUV when not in use. Not mentioned in the video but, a 60 amp breaker was recommended by Autoboat to be placed inline the red black box battery cable (consult with Autoboat).
Thanks for this detailed video. What motor is on the Vibe Inflatable? Or which motor(s) fits in Mirage drive?
The motor on the Vibe Inflatable Uptown is the same motor I use in most of my videos. It is the Minn Kota Riptide 45lb thrust 5 speed motor with AutoBoat kit installed. That day all Vibe on water footage was shot in 19mph sustained winds and 31mph gusts. Also was a slight incoming tide.

It was a Minnkota riptide 30 pound thrust
Newport 55 pound does not fit in mirage drive. Search continues.
What has to be done for this to work with a minn kota endura? Something on the site saying wire has to be modded

Do you still need to add a breaker for the battery
I would always add a breaker. The box will auto shut off and exit its own breaker, but it’s always nice to have an additional breaker.

When you hit reverse the motor will spin 180°?

Will it work on 16ft john boat instead of smaller watercraft
It would probably work on a 16ft Jon boat that boat can be held well with the 55lb trolling motor. If a 55 pound motor seems too weak, then I would go to a 24 V from the other brands
