This song brings tears to my eyes, it was one of the three first Skillet songs I have ever heard. When I turned six years old, I was allowed to use the computer totally by myself. I would search for different songs to listen to, and once, I came across “Monster”, it was actually a double feature with “Hero”. And I really liked them, and because I listened to them so much, CZcams recommended “Awake And Alive”. I listened to the songs for long hours every day.
Oh, and this, Monster, and Hero are in the same album.

Same, when I was a kid I would listen to hero and monster. At the time I didn’t know they were Christian, and neither my mother. She would get really mad at me for listening to their music. A few years later my mother told me they were Christian, and I was like “bruh”

When i heard this song on the CD, I thought it was okay, but I didn't get why it topped the charts. But when I saw them live... Their energy, and their power and their awesome sound made it one of my favorite songs of all time.

I honestly didn't know they were a Christian group. I only first heard their music a year or so ago and I fell in love with their music. I just searched thema few days ago to learn more about them and saw they were a Christian rock group. I particularly don't follow a religion and I'm not an Atheist either but their music is just so freakin amazing. Their songs don't scream anything particularly religious and they just play amazing music.

I hope someone will read my comment and pray for me forever. I have been on a serious journey seeking Jesus since late 2014 & I'm going through so much hurt inside. It's a long story. I pray someone will understand where I'm coming from on a spiritual level because I am brokenhearted daily and have been crying out to jesus daily. I continue to pray strongly and read my bible daily. I don't know what to with my life. I'm so sad. thank you.
