Joking aside, I feel you. The world today is so much darker and more corrupt than when we were kids/teens. This is why (I think, at least) bands like Skillet are so important. Their music is so powerful, and their message is often one of hope (I mean, not THIS song in particular, but most of them). They can give us that little extra bit on energy we desperately need, whether it’s to finish a deadline on time, to confront a toxic person, or even just to get out of bed in the morning.
We each have a Hero living within us, sometimes they just need to be woken up.
