- IT IS HAPPENING GUYS! A combination of a YZ250 Chassis - our Complete trike conversion kit - ...hours of fab work .. and we have our selves a yamaha banshee three wheeler . the "tri Z 350"
In this video - first start up - jetting issues to work thru and then a final rip… man this trike hauls !

Sweeeet. Please do a full video of the jetting procedure. My guess is it definitely needs larger pilots and possibly one position richer on the needles. And please build a YFZ450R with Banshee engine to match the TriZ Banshee!!

I still own my ‘85 TRI-Z 250 that I bought new here in San Diego . I always hoped Yamaha would build an RZ twin powered 3 wheeler , then the Banshees came out & a bazillion were sold . I put around $2800 into my 250 engine & some suspension mods to run at speeds equal to or occasionally faster than the Banshees at places Like Glamis , Buttercup & Gordon’s well back in the day . With the mods ( Engine built by the legendary Jim Pileggi in Santee) and some re-gearing it topped out right at 97-98 mph !!! Freaking thing was / still is a rocket . I can imagine this Banshee powered one one here should easily top over 100 mph , which is PLENTY fast enough to get your attention. How I never died riding mine is STILL a mystery to me & friends & family . Stay safe & keep ‘em rubber side down👍 I’m 62-1/2 years old now & only occasionally get out & ride these days in the dunes , but my memories & pictures from back in the day remind me of what once was … 😉

Tri-Z was my dream bike. Never had one. We had a Yamaha 200 and 225dx 3-wheelers. We traded them in on two Blasters in 1989. Then when I was 18 I traded the one Blaster in for a 1992 Banshee. Loved all those old Yamaha bikes. They were all Beasts. The build quality was Amazing.
Now I see the 3- wheeler you made. Best of both worlds. I want one So bad.
I still have that 92 Blaster along with a 2001 Blaster. Been looking for a Nice Low hours Banshee. People want Crazy money for them. I don’t want some “moded out” pice of Junk either. That’s how most are. I want stock form bike I’ll keep Forever.

I put one off these on road in 90 s wi an rd 400 box engine wow was that something else ,had to widen the axle and change the rake .

I miss my 98 bak w/red radiator shroud Banshee,.. thinking bak,I’d luv to hav a banshee engine on oh idk like a cr250 frame maybe a yz frame if it’d matter that much,. I always thought yz was lighter & shorter than cr, one being Yamaha and one being Honda. My Honda bikes always smoked my neighbor on his Yamaha bikes, we grew up together, I’d get cr80 he got yz80, and on up to 250s over yrs. Then I got into quads, then Harley’s ,.,.etc,.. life happened,. But thinkin bak maybe it had a lot to do with the driver?? Idk perhaps..?? I do miss my banshee 350twin. She was built for reals.. it had shitload of aftermarket’s added , had over size cheetah 420kit, performance crank,.Boyzeen reeds, bigger carbs,36mm I think,. It would rip fo’ sho,.. apologies for rambling on,..

My Banshee is very sensitive to the air screw adjustment. If you are just a bit lean, it bogs like yours--no power. A quarter to half turn and it goes away.

I had 97or 98 350twin. I upgraded carbs to 36mm I think that was size(been so long ago🙄) is it 28mm factory size?? Anyways if they are off by a hair, it’ll splutter, cut out act awful. Gotta be just rite. I have seen riders go to single over size carb just because of the computer adjustment on dual carbs was off ((mine had the electronic computer thingy on it as well, although I don’t know the yr they started doing so. It was fuel injected though, just some Japanese jumbo jumbo. That was 1st time I’d seen that on banshee was in 98..)),.they couldn’t get it set bak rite so they ended up changing fr dual to single,. I feel that takes away from power curve imo,..
My 2 stroke twin Yamaha',s do the same thing when they are cold my shee and my Yamaha twin snowmobile powered quads are the same Yamaha Raptor 660R Yamaha VMAX 600 twin snowmobile engine known as The Yamaha Raptor R6 used Yamaha R6 stickers being a 600 twin Polaris Trail Boss 250 Yamaha 570 twin snowmobile engine used Polaris 570 stickers so they look stock

Weight 🙏please! Bi-Z that you built, vs a tri-z250 or honda 250r atc for comparison! And there are several kick ass companies that can build you a set of great flowing pipes..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Cool thing is i did not dimensionally change anything on these toomeys- simply rotated them at the welds BUT i would love to have someone design the best pipes possible for our chassis when we start producing these 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Its a normal banshee motor with pipes, and intake mods…. The key here is it weighs less. Top speed we will find out

I love Honda's but when they tune it right, it will absolutely destroy a atc350x. Even so, I'm never going to sell my 350x
