Eté 2012, alpinisme, escalade, montagne... Le Pilier Gervasutti, Mont-Blanc du Tacul... Chamonix Mont-Blanc massif... Le Pilier Gervasuti est une magnifique classique sur un pilier étroit, raide et en bon rocher... Son nom est un hommage des premiers ascensionnistes à Giusto Gervasutti qui se tua dans ce pilier le 16 septembre 1946... Très belle escalade de 800 mètres en 5 sup 6a max... Aller -retour depuis l'Aiguille du Midi...
1re ascension les 29 et 30 juillet 1951 par P. Formelli et G. Mauro...

Thanks for posting this. Beautifully filmed. It gives me great memories from when we climbed it in 1989. Great quality rock for most of it. We were slowed down a lot through the mixed section and got to about the same point when night fell and ended up bivvying uncomfortably with thunder storms around us. The next day we climbed out and found some loose rock the size of a fridge that fell and almost took my partner out. Classic Route
