This album is one of their best works of all times. Some fans may say: "Ow you know, you can't compare this one with the number of the beast or powerslave" but i think this one has better soloing in each song. There are only 8 songs but each one fits perfectly in the concept of lost in time. I hope to see the boys playing live "Alexander the Great" once before they retiring. Up the Irons!

Brilliant. Played in a super smooth and effortless way. Great tone and it looks like a really fun song to play, huh? Really glad you covered this, one of those somewhat obscure songs that I've been in love with since the day it came out in the 80s. Those sweeping solos are just stunning and taking a road trip through somewhere scenic and having that playing is the definition of pleasure. It's always hard for me to identify a favorite in anything, but this song is one of the reasons why I somewhat easily will say Maiden is my favorite band. Awesome job on this, I wish I could like it +100 ;-)

I used amplitube 3 on the Mac to record this cover. Aside from that though I've had many pedals and crap over the years. I sold it all but kept my boss Ns-2 noise gate, Zakk wah, mxr 6 band eq, Zakk overdrive (I like it better than the tube screamer) and mxr phase 90. I really like Zakk's chorus pedal which will be next on the list when the bank approves it.
Seeing Iron Maiden playing ALEXANDER THE GREAT live is my dream.. :'(
