Very helpful video. Couple of observations having done this. WATCH OUT trying to lift the filter out of its housing. Mine did NOT want to come so rather than bash it upwards with a rubber mallet, I decided to undo the screw at the front of the clamp holding it. I was able to lift the old filter forward forward and off and see that the housing clamp was screwed in place and no amount of banging would have shifted it. So I took the old filter off and placed the new one (take the clamp arrangement off of the new one) in the same place, connected all the hoses, put the screw back in at the front of the clamp and it's all fine. Also be wary of buying the right 'metal' filter as one comes with a water sensor on the base and the other does not. And finally, write the date (month and year) you replaced the filter on it, that way the next person will have an idea how old it is. Mine was a Renault badged filter so it may have been the original? Date all replacement parts with permanent marker.

Hi @crushedz, thank you for your comment! How did the operation go ?

@@UseTool_EN It went fine. The new filter had a different pipe-clipping system-I thought I had got the wrong filter-but it worked. It was a bit worrying taking off the leads without knowing that they were differently sized to avoid mistakes, but that was ok.And the filter clip-on[to the car body]mechanism was a bit wishy washy leaving a bit of uncertainty. No probs though. Thanks again!

take out the return line from the engine entering the fuel filter and manually pump diesel until the filter is full of diesel and no air left inside
