Be sure to enable upload and/or download in the channels page, plus be sure to deselect the Ignore MQTT toggle which is on another config page

It appears to me you have got the MQTT partially working, which is why your peer list is populated. When you get the cloud checked notification, it doesn't mean the msg has gone to the recipient. You'll need to see a person checked, then they've received it. We've been playing around with it. It appears to us, with a heltec v3 (tried 3 antenna now), it's only able to actually send a msg by line of sight without MQTT. We're able to get a msg past a couple of concrete walls, 100 feet out the door. No better than a 10 year olds walkie talkie. Sound about right?
