This took me way back to my childhood. My mom did this recipe just like these. With cornstarch or flour, onions in the burgers or ringlets. She raised 10 kids on recipes like this. One of my favorite childhood memories. Thanks for sharing.

I love this! I mix chopped onions inside my patties, just like my momma showed me. Enough of them usually cook off the sides of the meat for my flour to make gravy, but I love adding a little more. This is comfort, inexpensive, delishes, food. Yeeessss.

My mother used flour in her gravy and it worked out just fine when making the hamburgers in gravy. We had them cooked and served with mashed potatoes and english peas on Sundays at home. My grandmother use to cook that dish also, but I don't know how she made her gravy though. I am sorry for the loss of your sisters and I know what you all are going through since I just went to a funeral for a close friend who died in the hospital from cancer. That is what killed my mother, and her brother also.

Yes they are special...Ms Anne. My parents had twelve children and were are all close(I'm the youngest ). We just started losing siblings one sister a week before Thanksgiving and another sister a month ago. This was very hard for us. We are so thankful for all of everyone's prayers and condolences. Yes they are special...Ms Anne. My parents had twelve children and were are all close(I'm the youngest ). We just started losing siblings one sister a week before Thanksgiving and another sister a month ago. This was very hard for us. We are so thankful for all of everyone's prayers and condolences.
