I have come up with the idea of the Sewing Challenge when I was relaxing outside in my garden in the sun and I thought I would like to make my own dress for the summer.
If you are in love in wearing dresses for the summer and if you are planning on thinking on making one for the first time. If you are a beginner or an expert sewer. I think this sewing challenge would be perfect for to get you started.
My sewing challenge is happening through the summer months
( June July and August).
If you are planning going on holiday in the summer or invited to a summer weddling then why not make a dress fit for the summer.
I would like you to join us in sewing up a summer dress for the summer together challenge and it all about the sewing community and being inspired by others and share on what you think is a summer dress.

Here is a couple of challenge rules to get you started
☀️Sew up with a Indie sewing pattern
☀️Sew up a dress pattern that named after a girls name.
☀️Dress it up with straps, short sleeves, puffy sleeves, frilly sleeves frills, gathers, ruffles and button holes, etc ( look at the pattern features and if it’s got some of the features that are listed above than you are good to sew it up.
☀️Make a DIY Shirred dress- perfect for the summer- try it out if you have not done shirring before.
☀️use summer themed printed fabrics- you do not have to but dare yourself.
☀️How many summer dresses you can make throught out the summer months for this challenge ( July and August)
☀️Share your makes and use the hasthag
☀️Enjoy your sewing

No pressure

if you not a fan on wearing a dress for the summer. Just try one and make a dress, you may feel differently on wearing summer dresses

I really enjoy your videos so please keep making them! As for your bra - until you mentioned it I just thought you were wearing a white top under your dress. I really hate wearing a bra and wear them as little as possible. I can't stop thinking it's like wearing a harness! (But you don't need to know that 🤔).
Your Rhea dress looks gorgeous - I've got the pattern but haven't got around to making it yet so it's great to see it made up. Thank you
