  • We're out milling down logs to prep the backstop for the 200 m target. Moving logs around with my Kubota LX2610 compact tractor is much easier with the Homestead Implements Pinnacle Series Root Grapple. Let's get 'er done! Cheers!

Good afternoon Gord and Guy , thanks for sharing some milling for the bunkers for the backstops on the range. Sure want to see that range in action when it's done. Should be an awesome place. Good to see Bob in his garden, he sure has a good looking set up for his garden and takes great care of it too. You all stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Oh, if you see men in white suites carrying big nets they are not after dragon flies . LOL They are looking for someone wearing them on his hat. ;-)

That's a nice portable sawmill. It's the right size. Watching this video brought back memories when I worked at a sawmill. I'll love work at sawmills

    Good morning Gord…
I have thought about doing this on my pew pew backstop.
But I shift my sand and recover my range lead and melt it down and recast it..
Well… Just to let you know I did laugh out loud when you first took a shot of your self 😂😂
I would love to hear what Guy’s reaction was 🤣🤣
And boy does Bobby have a green thumb..
But I do know he’s been working and adding to that garden spot for a few years..
I know how much work it takes..
Thanks for sharing and great video for us to drool over Guy’s toys.. hahahaha
I really need a mill but Sally says I have enough toys.. hahaha
    Cheers my friend

That garden looks like a ton of work but really nice. And it looks like you're building a commercial range. We cut up some trees into 24" lengths, piled them up 4 feet and piled on the dirt about 5 feet tall. We have a 100, 200 and 300 yd range. Waiting to see the finished product on yours. It'll be nice. Don't get too overheated. Our bodies don't work like they did at 30. God Bless fellas.

Nice video GP - Guy has all to toys and the mill is running fine, Farmer Bob's huge garden is looking good, it doesn't get bothered by woodland creatures?. The reddish/pink dragon fly's is for girls, you needed the blue one for it to work lol. Cheers and have a great week.

GP you know the ends of the logs you are cutting off and putting in a pile ? My family use to buy them from a Pallet company to use for starting fires. We bought them in a huge bundle and then we would cut them up about 16 inches stack then and split them as needed to start the fires. Even used the bark as well. we wasted nothing.

Good morning Daniel. Guy does the same thing - all those slabs will be cut and stacked for firewood this winter. It's good firewood, just a bit more difficult to buck them up. Enjoy the long weekend!

@@GPOutdoors Lol we used a skill saw to cut them up it worked great till my Dad cut his shin almost in half. See my dad would lay them on a saw horse and cut them with the skill saw. Then as the pile gets to big he would kick the pile over to add more to the pile as he is cutting. I just a little boy of 8 years old asked my dad wouldn't that cut your leg if you was to keep cutting as you kick the wood over and cut your leg at the same time?
Dad looks at me with the look that could kill and said NO! Son not when you know what you are doing. You are to young to understand now just leave me alone.
So like a good boy I said nothing and just watched and as he kicked over 3 piles as he is cutting I guess he was right. But the fourth pile was the killer. He was on a roll and kicked the pile at the same time he was cutting the slab and it cut right through his shin. Dad did not scream but he did say OH SHYT . I said you said that wont happen. He said Son not now. Well he was rushed to the Doctors office then to a hospital and 6 hours later he was back home. I was cutting slabs with the skill saw after that. I think Dad wanted to teach me a lesson lmao.

Ahhh...the dragonfly episode! Sure looked like a beautiful morning Gord, and clearly you guys have had a lot more rain than us, based on that garden! Just curious...why only milling three sides? Simply to save time, or maybe additional thickness?

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  Před měsícem +1

Morning Chris. Yes - he didn't need the other side - it will face backwards so yes th thickness is helpful. Have a good long weekend Chris - and if you have questions about the ms 261, just give me a call. :)
