I have intended to invest in all the Red Seeds decks for quite a while now - hopefully this will give me the push next time I have money. I preordered Woodland Warden (not out yet here)I am sure the tarot connection won't bother me & the art is perfect. Sometimes it's a good thing to buy decks for the art collecting & use them if they suit. I loved what you said about going to the cards for the messages and knowledge embedded within the art. That deeply resonates with me because I love many art styles and tend to see it as a form of communication that operates on a deep level. Perhaps the art is not “our aesthetic” but it is communicating something we need. For this reason I find myself drawn to several of the decks you mentioned. PS. Congrats on your first edition of the Mary-El. I adore that deck and have often thought about looking for a first edition.

Ocean! :) loved to see the Woodpeckers! The female always has more muted colours and the male is more colourful lol I saw a female Red Cardinal the other day and thought it was a finch because it only had the red beak and the little messy hawk at the top of its head but googling it and it was in fact the female red cardinal. I so love bird watching and listening 😊 looking forward to seeing your garden grow this season
Oooh neat! I don't think I've ever really noticed the female cardinals, we get a few males here and there though, they're always so beautiful. I'll have to keep a closer eye out for the ladies, I'm sure they're around. xx

Get some washi and stickers easy and quick when you do not have time and your can washi pages you have not yet when you have time. Just a thought. I do my tarot journal like you do I pick four cards, but I have a small Canon printer to put a picture of the 4 cards I write what they are and then write out the messages they give me I agree it is so much more freeing. Hi Theia, just a quick tipp how I love to use the woodland wardens oracle. I use it as a clarifyer to my tarot cards. I lay out a oracle card for each tarot card for more information. It really rounds up the reading. Maybe this helps you to fall more in love with the woodland wardens oracle

New subbie, I love your channel and your energy! Although.. I did feel a tad ashamed of getting the Woodland Wardens deck after your (completely valid) rant. But I think that's why I like it. It's not a tarot deck, and I view it more as an "inspired by" the Rider Waite deck, rather than a true tarot deck - since that wouldn't be what I would want anyway(I 100% get that most tarot readers would get thrown-off by that, though.) The weird and specific reason why I didn't want a true tarot deck, is because I don't consider myself Wiccan or a witch, or believe in any divine deities (though of course I believe that others are allowed to believe in what they believe!). I don't feel like it would be right for me to read a tarot deck that is straight from the Rider Waite (personally) since my personal practice heavily relies on listening to the lessons wildlife can provide - so this is how I relate to that deck. I am going to compare it once I get the Bestiary Oracle, though! Sorry for that unnecessary over-explanation, I just felt like sharing my perspective and hopefully it makes sense in some way!

I have a few Schiffer decks and I'm ready for the cardstock, it's not really bothered me too much before, another part of the deck to get to know. I don't think I'll trim it, it's already been edged in black so I'm thinking it'll be good to go. I'll likely share once she gets here. :)
