The best one's were mostly when they broke character, and lost it during the sketches. Doing them in front of a live audience, they just kept going till it was done. In this Dentist Sketch, Harvey Korman later said he actually peed himself, laughing so hard at a point in the sketch. Tim was just too much, and he lost it, as usual. The show ran on CBS from September 11, 1967 to March 29, 1978, number of episodes- 279. The cast was Carol, plus Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Lyle Waggoner, Dick van Dyke, and many guest Stars. this was inspired by a real experience. when he was in the army, tim saw a dentist jab himself with novocane
not exactly the writers came up with the skit including the jabbing his hand then tim added to it
Tim's main goal in each sketch was to make Harvey break up, so he would improvise a lot of the action!
