Thanks for putting this together, I once owned a 1979 Kawasaki invader 440 in 1987 and enjoyed every minute of it and it was super fast. I owned it till 1991 and lost it due to a theft of the 'head' on my beautiful engine and I ended up selling it for parts.
Great vid. Always wondered what the trails were like in that area. Alas, the trails (since you did the video) have been wiped out in south & western Ontario. Look at it this year... can't even go in central or eastern Ontario. Really unfortunate.
I had a 78 440 kawasaki invader that was heavily modified back in the day. It was so fast and it sounded so sweet with the tuned pipes. This machine would Stand strait up, looking pretty doing wheelies all day long for as long as u wanted to keep it up! 120 mph all day long machine! Very scary fast machine back in the day!! Sucks that I had to get rid of it, it was so fast and it had so much power it started to tear the front side suspension out of it where the chain case bolted to the aluminum tunnel!! That was a very nice long ride u posted, brings back many memories. Nice machine!!
Had a invader 440 as a kid. It was a rocket ship, fast acceleration and man the top end it flew. Wish I never sold it. Was super easy to work on too. Could rebuild the engine in a day and be out riding. I love leaving th newer sleds in the dust.
i sold it for 100 bucks and moved back to what i knew.....i know have 5 skidoos ranging from 2 1969s a 71 olympic a 75 tnt and a 85 tundra,,,,im old school skidooer....cheers to you all
I used to ride an 82 intruder, and this brings back old memories. That ol 440 engine really had some get up and go. Especially on those freshly groomed trails.
I had the 81 Ltd was very fast got it up to 97 miles an hour after it was ported and polished to fast for such a old school suspension bent the rear bad because I loved taking air.
Nice ride. I had a 78 340 invader and was surprisingly fast. Hole shots were all yours but on the lake i did ok. Could never get enough traction without studs. Now i have 3 that will make 2 all 440s. Would have loved to take the 550 interceptor for a boot and there is that hole shot we like.
I watch this video every year around this time. You've got a great place to ride!

My buddy had one. He put most of the miles on it by the pull cord trying to start it. Good on gas it was.

I remember seeing the Invader's on an episode of Hart 2 Hart as a kid. Such nice looking sleds.
what is the point? I'd like to see the machine not the trail
I understand. Next time I will take more shots of the machine. Thanks for the tip.
Your left ski is pretty wobbly, you should probably do some maintenance

Ya... that 550 Interceptor they had for 1 year ( their last year) was said to be much faster than the 440 invader. And Invader's were fast.
I think your idle is to high
This is painful to watch!!
