    Bad ass! No other words! I raced in the 80s with a 250 and a 440, both 76. Why in the hell did we get rid of them. Most iconic, unique sound, and best looking sled ever. I will come and get it! Let me know! Thanks for the vid! Chad

    pretty lean on the low end, a couple squirts of gas in spark plug holes would have fired it up quick and saved your pulling time

      I second that statement. Someone forget the oil? Just listen, way too lean.

    35 pulls on the recoil - wow I would be back on the couch for a rest and then would take the recoil off and hook a drill up to turn it over --- I'm not lazy but !!!!!! may be in bad shape.

    Even into the 90s, the liquid Twisters were competitive in some classes. I can remember a 600 twin Polaris wanted to run a 440 Sno-Twister. That Twister went out and flat kicked his ass!!! Hell, they had an easy 100+hp, and were close to 200lbs lighter. Never saw one that started as hard as this one, though!!!.....

    Good way to burn a piston running it for that long and definatly way to lean. No smoke, need a choke, too lean.

    I also know the passion, I have a 1969 single Boa Ski, a 1973 Alouette 340 Sno Brute and a 1973 Aloutte Silver Cloud Wankle (in mint condition) a 1996 Skidoo Touring SLE 500 and a 1997 Skidoo Touring SLE 500, and 2 Yamaha Bravo's which are 2 tough reliable customers.

      Had a couple of 76' Alouette Super Brutes. A 250 and 440. Xenoha engines. The Alouette's were actually Rupp Magnums with Alouette decals. They were on par with the Sno Twisters. I've driven both and the Twisters handled a bit better.

    My Dad owned and raced all three twisters the 250 cc liquid cooled the 340 cc fan cooled and the 440 liquid cooled they all came with kohler motors if I remember right and they flew They dominated My Dad bumbed bad when Mercury dropped snow mobiles

    Is that liquid cooled faster than the 75 free air Sno Twister?

    Nice sled but my 76 SRX snow dusted many Mercs...

      @arthurdavis1065 Před 2 měsíci

      That's really funny! Merc won pretty much every USSA event in all three classes in 1976. I was on one. Yamaha was not even a close contender that year.
