  • Here we have an absolutely stunning Winchester 101 Presentation Pigeon Grade shotgun.
The engraving on this Winchester 101 is one of the highest produced.
This particular Winchester 101 Pigeon Grade was kindly loaned to us by a gentleman called Gary Diamond.
This 12 gauge shotgun was a private purchase and has not gone through our UK proof system so we can not date it exactly. We estimate it is date between 1984 and 1987.
We have held off from posting this video as we wanted to show some other engraving before we shared this video.
This is a Winchester 101 trap shotgun and has a very wide trap rib which has been engraved with Pigeon Grade markings.
Featuring full coverage hand engraved scroll, this engraving is stunning to look at. The engraving has been chased in silver around the outside which really adds fine detail.
We would love to hear your comments on this Winchester shotgun so please feel free to comment below.
If you would like to see some of our other Winchester shotguns then please feel free to take a look.
We have a very nice Winchester 101 Grand European.

Hi In my short time clay shooting I have owned 3 miroku 3800 grade 3 trap one being A monticarlo . Also owned a 3750 game grade 3 .The latter gun I have not heard you mention .? After hearing you in depth reports on the miroku I wish that I still owned them .( all these guns were made between 1978 - 1980 ) but as I said I was new to shooting !!! Keep up the good work

@@CountrywayGunshop1 A friend purchased one and I fell in love with it. Light, quick and smooth. I looked at several legends and I made a great call.

Great vid and info Tim, has helped me to better understand and figure out which Winchester 101 I have. So, after watching I’ve come to the conclusion I have a Presentation Grade Grand European. Would enjoy your feedback, also has slightly different theme on the engraving and the tear drop sides to the stock. Also no push release for the for grip, just a solid tang. Very much enjoyed your video and hopefully hear back.

    Hi Tim and Paul.
An interesting video this one and the shotgun too. I’m surprised though that the stock and forend wood seems so plain. I would have expected a Presentation Grade shotgun to have a nice bit of figured walnut?
As to what to to show first, 2 x Miroku or Winchester, I’ll go for Miroku first!

I have a Grand European Ser No K400122. It's a trap gun. It has much nicer wood as you describe. Unlike the 101 it has inertia triggers. Worked hard for 40 years it has never let me down.
