I have one of the original pairs. I have uk size 15 wide feet and they work perfectly for me. I couldn’t speak highly enough of them. They are worth every penny.

I definitely prefer the old design of the Lowa mountain and combat boots compared to this new one, the rubber on the toes just looks tacky, can't polish it up either! Price too I mean they used to be about £180 for the old combat now up at £250, ouch!

Hi Stevie, There is something to be said for a nice bulled boot for sure! Unfortunatley one of the concerns for the modern Urban use of product is scuffs etc to the toe are and the time taken to keep them built up and bulled. The solution is the new ruberised toe, functional but not smart. Pricing wise with the improvement in parts and the increase in things such as oil which is used in all parts or the boot and its transport the increases whilst not ideal are part of the modern world. The Lowa Mountain are one of the best looking boots for me a true modern classic.
