- Hello, People!
My name is Marc, welcome to my channel!
In this video I visit (IMHO) Utah's very best rock shop.
A viewer recently asked where do I get my lapidary materials from. Rock shops are a great place to find exotic stone from around the world.
Utah Dump Digger, located in American Fork, Utah. Perhaps the most notable material available here is Utah Dino Bone and Bone from other places as well, but there are lots of other materials to look at too.
For myself I was on the hunt for some reputed Wyoming Black Jade. I also picked up a small but nice piece of Holly Blue Agate.
Find Utah Dump Digger on Facebook. They have quite an active page with regular live feeds and posts. They also can be found at notable rock and gem shows like those in Tuscon, AZ and Denver, CO.

What an amazing rock shop! He literally has everything! Thank you for the tour and the information! I will check him out!
You should! Good people all around over there. Thanks for watching, Lisa. :D
That is one excellent rough shop.. lots of material to choose from 😎
It sure is! I've never been disappointed going there and buying whatever materials that strike my fancy. :D
What a great rock shop ! Amazing how much material is there. Some of the low prices shocked me as well as the high prices. Dino bones really hold some value and the Montana agates sell for much much less. Learned a lot Mark ! Enjoyed watching 😊
Awesome rock shop! He's got quite a bit of really pretty dinosaur bone. I like all the buckets full of tumble material. Thank you for taking us to that great shop. I'm really looking forward to seeing that jade and holly blue. Take care, Marc.
Thanks, CCC. I get surprised by the costs of many materials as well. Makes it hard to make any money at all. Thanks for watching though! :D
I need to get my bear butt over there! I work in A.F. and only recently found out they were that close to me, and Dino Bone is one of my favorites! 😱
Aaaand moki marbles?! What i really need is some real lapidary equipment. I make due with what i have, but it's a pain in the butt sometimes.
Aaaand he has gem silica?! Yeah, I'm heading over there on my next lunch break.
As far as I know they're open most days. You can call or check their Facebook to be sure. Good materials and good people!
Would love to go there.
They have Facebook live feeds and sales! I believe they have a website now as well.
I guess you don't drive trucks this far west?
@@camplapidary my company does go out there. I usually run the south from Texas east. I am going to get a couple runs out there this summer though. Probably can’t get a big truck close though can ya?
@@JnVrockhounding I'm not sure about parking really big trucks.. Perhaps on the street. But I'm not familiar at all with truckdriving and turns you can make and all that. You could always ask them. I know there's a good size commercial development next door and trucks would have to be able to get there.
Good1
Thank you! :D
I live in Orem, I want to visit you for rocks for jewelry.
My facebook page where I sell cabs. I can mail them out..

I have sold cabs from my driveway before. I'm in West Valley. If you see something you like on my facebook you are welcome to come look in person.
Beautiful, but in this economy he will be holding on to that for quiet some time.
You have a lot of stones to display already.
You're right, I do have a lot of rock already. I try to buy only new to me materials like the Wyoming Black Jade. A lapidarist should have a wide variety of materials to choose from. :D
Collectors never have enough.
These are the best rock shops. Don’t show me a place with fancy jewelry. I want to go to a place that has piles of rocks outside. They always have the best raw material and the owners usually know where to find the good stuff.
I think you have it exactly right, Rachael. :D
Not Dino bone 👌
Hello! This is a 50+ minute video, it has lots of things that are not dino bone.
But, there most definitely is dino bone in this video. Thanks for watching! :D
