- The entire history of the Ottoman Empire (All Parts) - 1299 - 1922
The Ottoman Empire was founded circa 1299 by Osman I in northwestern Asia Minor, south of the Byzantine capital Constantinople. The Ottomans crossed into Europe in 1352, moving their capital to Adrianople in 1369. They expanded in Asia Minor by annexing many small Turkic beylics.
They conquered Constantinople in 1453, and then expanded deep into Europe, northern Africa, and the Middle East. The Ottoman territory increased exponentially under Sultan Selim I, who assumed the Caliphate in 1517 as the Ottomans defeated the Mamluks of Egypt and annexed western Arabia, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Levant. Within the next few decades, much of the North African coast became part of the Ottoman realm. Slowly after many wars and internal problems, the Ottoman sultanate started to crumble. It's really good & well researched; but don't you honestly think that the amount of ads might well be counterproductive due to their extremely interruptive amount cutting the video constantly. I completely understand the need to make revenue - it's just that you might end up missing some in the end.. Oh well, you have the statistics and know better, I just thought I'd mention....

One short time you put him in the video.
One of my favorites facts from history is that the ottomans and austrians spent centuries fighting each other and collapsed fighting together.
Ironic
and almost same thing happening today between greeks and turkey, they wasting their energy by insisting on their rights without giving any each other. if they'd get along with each other somewhere in the future they would probably quadruple their power or more. Ironically, they refuse to see their past; If they did, they could realize how powerful and prosperous they have been throughout history when the two sides of the Aegean join together.
But with this logic, the Greeks will also want to claim land by saying that the western Anatolia belonged to them thousands of years ago. what happened, the Greeks reclaimed enough land, the Turks protected enough land. maybe they can try to bond with each other with small gestures to solve geopolitical problems. The problem is that they both consider giving little land a matter of honor. this is very old-fashioned and meaningless stubbornness. Both sides are the same in behavioral and cultural matters. Despite their different colors, both sides have the same mindset in terms of both belief and social aspects. Those who do not accept this do not realize that they do not accept it because they are the same. i believe greek and turk allience might shape the next modern century for whole europe and middle east. but they both need suppress the radicals within their country first. do i know how? no, thats the job of the politicians.

"Courage leads people to victory, indecision to danger, cowardice to death."
~Selim the Grim
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to... well I’m sure you know
Plenty of examples of Courage leading to huge defeat and death and a few where cowardice has lead to out right victory.
Better stratagy, weapons, training and a bigger better equipped army is definitely a better option for victory every time than courage.
Boringly good planners, military leaders who are good at employing the right people in the right places to keep their armies well supplied and led by great tactical Generals are the rulers who really win wars and create the biggest empires.
The further back you go the more influence and effect having a brave leader had on the out come of a battle and it definitely helped but its far from the only thing or the most important thing for a great leader needs to be a conqueror.
Just take Augustus, he was a very average general and not particularly brave, once leaving the sight of a battle before it started and leaving it to his main General Agrippa to lead the battle and all his battles from then on.
It was the one thing that Romans disliked about him and most of his propaganda was trying to make up for this perceived lack. However he was a truly great leader, Emperor and Politician and especially good at the boring stuff of feeding the masses and putting the best people in the right places.

Religion is not a divider of humanity, because religion is one of the symbols in realizing peace and solidarity with humanity.Every religion was revealed as a guide for human life. The universal value of religion is to keep human life in the corridor of harmony, peace and brotherhood. Let us invite the world community to interpret religion as a unifying tool between people to create peace and unity. All religions are said to have the ultimate goal of humanizing humans. We are religious, one of the goals is for humanity, not just for God. One example, one of the commands in Islam to perform prayer or prayer, the true truth in its purpose is that people do not

This map is incorrect in some areas. for example Independent Georgian states were never the part of the Ottoman Empire, some of them were only Vassals for some time, but not the part of the Empire:

▶ Principality of Samtskhe - 1266-1625 AD.
▶ Duchy of Aragvi (1380-1747) - de facto independent Georgian entity.

▶ Principality of Abkhazia- 1463-1864 AD.
▶ Kingdom of Kakheti - 1465-1762 AD.
▶ Kingdom of Kartli - 1478-1762 AD.
▶ Duchy of Ksani (15th c.-1801) - de facto independent Georgian entity.

When Mehmed II called his father back to the throne his father refused. Although he was a child Mehmed II wrote his father a letter saying. " If you are the sultan come and take the throne, if I am the sultan than I order you to come and take the throne". Murad wanted to spend time in spirutual matters and become secluded but after his sons clever lettee he had no choice to take the throne.
Thats not true . Watch and learn the truth. ( Halil inalcık , İlber Ortaylı , Ahmet Anapalı , Murat Bardakçı , Erhan Afyoncu )
@@ethemyilmaz78 sallama
The idea of recalling the retired Sultan Murad to the throne came not from Mehmed II, who was still a young lad, but from his old and wise Sadr- Azam Çandarlı Halil Paşa. As is well known, Mehmet II had Çandarlı Halil executed following the capture of Constantinople, primarily as a result of rumors spread by his rivals alleging that he took bribes from Byzantium to dissuade the Sultan from invading the city. According to many historians, another reason for Mehmet's rage was the letter delivered to the retired Sultan at Çandarlı's behest. Appearently, the boy Sultan had been deeply offended by this intervention to his authority.
@@bassoprof Mehmet II is populary praised for writing such a clever letter in Turkiye. However, if Candarli wrote the letter unbeknownst to Mehmet II, it is understandable why he would be mad.

While it is true that the Ottoman Empire went to wars often to serve their self interest, often with a very thin if not existent cassus beli (?), that isn't very remarkable, looking at other empires. For example, Alexander the Great attacked the Persians with no provocation from them. There are many other cases in history like this.

I can hear him rolling in his grave...what a shame to his legacy!!!!
@@CaptainHarlock-kv4zt Not all Albanians have been with the Ottomans throughout history. (Gjergj Kastrioti, Çerçiz Topulli, Arvanites etc...)
Example : The advent of Skanderbeg at the head of the new Albanian state had a strong impact and earned him the esteem of the Vatican and the great European powers of the time. With the exploits of Skanderbeg and after those of Achilles, Alexander the Great and Pyrrhus (his compatriots Pelasges) ends one of the most beautiful periods of the history of the region.
The League of Lezhë (Albanian: Lidhja e Lezhës), also commonly referred to as the Albanian League (Albanian: Lidhja Arbërore), was a military and diplomatic alliance of the Albanian aristocracy, created in the city of Lezhë on 2 March 1444. The League of Lezhë is considered as the first unified independent Albanian country in the Medieval age, with Skanderbeg as leader of the regional Albanian chieftains and nobles united against the Ottoman Empire.
Source 📜 : Babinger, Franz (1992). Mehmed the Conqueror and His Time. Princeton University Press. p. 54. Archived from the original on 18 May 2016. ... a solid military alliance was concluded among all the Albanian chieftains along the Adriatic coast from southern Epirus to the Bosnian border.
The fame of this valiant prince reached, also, France where half a dozen dramas were written in his honor and where, especially, J. De Lavardin, devoted to him a famous biography which charmed Ronsard so much that he composed the following sonnet (in old French):
Sonnet to J. De Lavardin (🇫🇷) sieur du Plessis-Bourrot
Epirus only is in fertile horses,
Good to ravish the taken at the Olympian course,
But in warlike men, whose ancient blood
Boasts of being the descendants of the valiant Achilles.
Pyrrhus is my witness, who, razing many a city,
Had the old Argian wall for a tomb,
And Scanderbeg, hating the Scythian people
Who from all Asia drove out the Gospel.
O great Epirote! O valiant Albanian!
Whose hand has defeated the Turks twenty times and twice,
The terror of their camp, the terror of their walls,
You would have died however, swallowed up by Fate,
If the learned work of the wise Larvardin
Had not, by forcing your death, regained your battles.

The Arnavut (🇦🇱) have contributed enormously in the Ottoman Empire and also in Turkey today ...
Many Albanians were recruited into the Ottoman Devşirme and Janissary with 42 Grand Viziers of the Ottoman Empire being of Albanian origin ( ... )
Malcolm 2002, p. 82. "Modern historians would also think it necessary to refer to the many examples of cooperation (sometimes to mutual advantage) between inhabitants of the Albanian lands and their foreign rulers - above all, in the case of the Ottomans, with their innumerable soldiers and officials of Albanian origin.
Example (Statesmen, revolutionary, generals, notables or ruling families of Albanian origin) :
- Lala Shahin pacha (first Beylerbey of the Ottoman Empire, governor of Rumelia).
- Lala Mustafa pacha defeated the Venetians in Famagusta (Cyprus)
- Mehmed Pasha Arnavud, Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire.
- Köprülü, an important Turkish family of Albanian origin of which FIVE members were Grand Viziers of the Ottoman Empire from 1656 to 1710 and in Turkey until today.
- Fazil Ahmet pacha, Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire.
- Mustafa Hussein, Grand-Vizier of the Ottoman Empire.
- Mehmet Ali, vice king of Egypt, founder of an Albanian dynasty that reigned for nearly 150 years, including the last king of Egypt, Farouk I.
- Mustafa Kemal said, Atatürk, statesman founder of modern Turkey (having Albanian origins)

Famous architect of the Ottoman Empire of Albanian origin:
- Sinân Mimar built the most beautiful mosque of Istanbul (Süleymaniye, between 1550 and 1557), the Shehzâde mosque of Istanbul, the Selîmiye mosque of Edrine (his masterpiece), the white mosque (Yeni Djami) and nearly 360 other monuments.
- Sedef Qar Mehmet Biçakci of Elbasan, architect of the Hyppodrome or Atmeydan Mosque.
(System of aqueducts of Istanbul built by several Albanian architects)
- Mehmet Mustafa Agha and Hoxha Kasem built the Valid Sultaniyé Mosque in Galata (Istanbul -1873).

The lives of those Ottoman monarchies are so short lived and died so readily and rapidly that they will be better off became Consultants than Sultans. In reality they all short lived because they all had a huge Harem of many dozens of concubines women they can constantly have sex with to negatively affect their health and longevity. There were even more women in a Ottoman Turkish Harem than Black women in Harlem!!
Napoleon Bonaparte has conquered Egypt when Egypt was still belonging to the Ottoman Emoire.
While Wellington only knew how to Welding tons of junk metals together. And Nelson was only capable of deploying his half nelson moves in wrestling, Napoleon Bonaparte had lots of great military & strategical maneuvers. Among them are his ability to Blown apart the bodies of all his enemy’s soldiers with his cannons while keeping his own soldiers from being Blownaparted. Napoleon Bonaparte’s soldiers all have great appetite therefore they would constantly ordering French Fries 🍟 from Marshal McDonald while he still needed to constantly loading cannons with Quarter-pounder cannonballs!
@@jordanfan5896You know very little about the Ottoman empire. First of all, the sultans were all Muslims and strictly adhered to their religion. Even this is evidence that will refute your thoughts about the harem. Napoleon Bonaparte is also a pretty good commander, but he was defeated by an old warrior of the Ottoman empire. My advice to you is to learn history well. Otherwise, you'll continue to talk nonsense, continue to praise and disgrace your stinking commanders.
