I'm not a massive fan of TKL or any boards bigger than 75%. However, I love affordable, premium-looking keyboards with a high-quality finish. And, of course, Neo Keyboard will provide all of that, especially with their most recent series, the Neo80.
Applying the same magnetic PCB connection as its predecessor, assembling this keyboard was breezy. They also offered 3 different mounting styles; my favorite is the gasket mount. The dumbbell gaskets give off a softer typing experience even with a stiff plate material like carbon fiber but a similar sound profile to the gasket socks.
Overall, I have never been disappointed with their releases so far (I've built the Neo65 and 70). Neo has been very on point with their audience, and with their price range, these boards will be on top of their list when considering buying their first custom mechanical keyboards.
