Sacrifices had to be made in order to make the game actually playable and i think personally, they did great with what they could.
It would be a massive clash with the rest of the game's aesthetics. Bayonetta 3 went for a more realistic look, and so Bayo's face had to be altered to fit. She's still recognizable as Bayonetta so I think it's fine.

At first, I was very disappointed by B3's appearance. After several weeks I thought since she doesn't act like Bayonetta, she might also not look like her too so I don't associate her with my true queen. Now I'm somehow glad that they changed her voice too. For me this is a new character but this is not Bayonetta, the real franchise ended with the 2nd game.
im starting to think that the director for 3 didnt know HOW chaotic and beautiful bayo can be, be it in lore or gameplay. even the mods showcase how shit b3 is, demom slave being a boss only mode should've been the way to go tbh.
@@MachsBizarreAdventure he sure did; but he was also involved in all of the games (including origins). the problem is that whoever decided that the released version would be a HIT should've been taken out, we had so much lore to even get into, questions to ask, but B3 fucked it up. it killed the characters of the series, from luka, jeanne and bayo herself. it's even worse when *both* bayo origins _and_ the eyes of the world concept book are a lot more better than what we had. and while i'm depressed thinking about this game and how she literally just stood there instead of her kicking ass, i'm still HOPEFUL that b4 will erase or even properly fix the chaos of b3. there's no DLC for b3, so we can hope platinum games do something to fix the bond between the fanbase.

It's the wait time and radio silence that did it for me. I was in way too much hype during the development that when the first trailer came out and I heard that there was no Hellena I immediately canceled the trinity masquerade edition preoder, God that was one of the best choices of my life. Bayo 3 had me fooled but if they ever do a 4th I will wait for youtubers to play it, reviews were done by people that don't understand the magnitude of bayonetta and they made it seem like it was game of the year when it was far away from it
It did more harm than good. It completely ruined the continuity and worldbuilding of the whole franchise, and made everything that we had done before become irrelevant. Only thing going for it was gameplay variety, which came at the cost of incredibly stupid level design (random clouds stoping you from going to places because they couldn't make the generic cities too big because rendering issues) and incredibly watered down graphics.
Were you living in a cave? The Bayonetta fanbase has always been made of vile, bitter, bully-wannabes. Bayonetta 2 was MASSIVELY hated until 3 released and people changed their narrative. I remember getting clowned to no end whenever I so much as implied I liked 2 more than the first game.

@@davidandre3719b2 is a lot more user friendly at all fronts and UC is an incredible tool - but why people still take on b1 is that, on a higher difficulty, things are on equal scaling. b2, DESPITE being a much more better looking game + an incredible one at it, is that the higher level of gaming fucks it up through a series of problems (that can be seen even in casual gaming) such as: odd influx times, combos and scoring that leads to its "failure" in b1, you can style or bully any enemy and after all of it, YOU CAN get a pure plat from it. in the second game, bullying and showcasing the best of moves leads you to nothing but a gold (or platinum, at bare minimum)

Not only the graphics made the difference, but also B2 Bayonetta make up just hits differently for the casual outfit, i find it flawless.
