@@DanielleNicoleMakeup yes we are always our biggest critic. I first started watching Mel with her platinum blonde buzz cut and thought- Wow! This woman is so beautiful…. and talented. You can see how much she had grown since that first video. I feel like we were getting glimpses of that younger Mel in more recent videos with her personality and how she opened up about a lot of her life struggles.🌹 May an endless field of roses and orchids be at her footsteps and her sweet dog be at her side in heaven🌹
I loved seeing Mel's first video 💕 Her sweetness and truth just shined through. I started watching Mel when she looked the way she does in this video. I kept reading other influencers talking about this super amazing makeup guru named Mel but they never said her last name until finally I found her and was hooked. You will never know just how much you are helping others even after you are gone. Your video touched me in a different way today. I deal daily with debilitating fear. Seeing this video today has encouraged me. You faced your fears and you blossomed beautifully. This has given me hope for my own journey moving forward.

janfromseattle since I’m 57 with hooded eyes 🤦🏼♀️ my tutorials are very different from hers because she is young with beautiful eye shape - but for me to watch these young so many of them are just fluff - so much movie majic you can’t learn anything Mel is not like that I can actually watch her videos👏🏻

Deliberately recalling one's early experiences is so humbling and reminds us how capable we are of learning and progressing. I teach medicine and always share my experiences with my students, and I highlight what now seems like a piece of cake to me was at one point in time a real struggle. This was so much fun to watch! I think all versions of you are perfect! This also inspires me because I started a candle CZcams channel a few months ago (under a different account) and I don’t edit yet at all, use my phone to make them, don’t look and sound like me, etc. but I love doing it and see myself relaxing in teeny tiny bits as I go along
I really enjoy your different style. It’s leans more towards what I would prefer if I didn’t need to appear quite professional and somewhat conservative (style-wise) for work.
