With the "just so so" crown and simple out of the budget bouquet, even the venue itself and the atmosphere of the pageant shows that beauty pageant is not a really big deal in South Korea. 😞😞😞
Obviously she's the most naturally beautiful there. Seeing her co candidates who looked all the same. Just a little training with her catwalk both for swimsuit and gown she'll be up in contention. She is already good speaking her mind out. Hopefully her cause will be about the standard of beauty in South Korea changing perception of many when she compete for Miss Universe.
The girls at the back look the same as if they came from the same parents. Thank God she won the title. She's the only natural looking korean girl in the batch and rest are full of alterations.

I think every woman here is beautiful inside and out. There's just so much pressure in Korea to look a certain way and I could see myself succumbing to many of the pressures to conform if I lived there and was constantly bombarded with images and ideals from those close to me. I hope everyone tries to put themselves in other's shoes. God created each one of those women and loves them dearly. No more making fun of the people that didn't win, please.

there should be a rule that for the final stage in evening wear the hair should be in a upstyle so the grown could be fitted to the hair properly....and the outgoing Miss be able to pin it to the hair while the New Miss is sitting down and then 30 sec later to stand up and walk about....just my point of view,

I came here after watching AsianBoss. It is sad that a developed country like Korea has treated her so badly. They should learn from Vietnam, even a Communist country that has recently selected a minority lady (H'hen Nie) for "Miss Universe Vietnam 2017". It was surprised everyone, however, the whole nation love her from the inner beauty, intelligence, simplicity, humbleness even though she has light dark skin and not very attractive outwardly. Regardless of religious background (She is a Christian), but the judge panel under Communist governnent still selected her based on sincerity and meekness. The Vietnamese audience might feel and get the inspiration from her unique story. Everybody said that she is the true winner and only one in the history of competition.
I can’t believe that people bash her not being beautiful when she is very much real and beautiful. Also she is an intelligent woman that’s the most plus point. We are human and we need to have beauty standard according human body nature. It seems I'm 1 year late... Came here following the Asian Boss interview which was in my Recommended list so I gave it a go. The crown seems so heavy and uncomfortable... It's really obvious that she can't wait to get it off of her head xD
Well, it's not a secret in Korea, that the winner of Miss Korea 真。善。美 has to be natural and intelligent (speaks good English) cause they are Korea Ambassador that promotes trade and diplomatic relations so they are not send to participate in Miss World and Miss Universe. And the runner up will participate in Miss Earth. There are 2 lesser pageants Miss Korea World and Miss Korea Universe that will participate in the respective international pageants.
