      My other Ridgid boxes don't have those and to me, it looks a lot like how DeWalt just did there half organizers for the Toughsystem 2.0. My fingers are crossed. Drawers and half organizers would stop me from buying anymore Packout I think.

    A big plus is that it has a top handle. The big problem with the large Milwaukee and flex boxes is that if you’re loading it from side handles is a back injury waiting to happen.

    Bought the 2.0 full stack and just had to grab the organizer half boxes… so I picked up this 28” box to mount the half boxes on. Price was a bit steep versus what I paid for the 3 piece 2.0 stack, but I needed this for the added length.
    You nailed it for the half box mounts. This box was clearly ahead of itself for having the ability to carry the 2.0 exclusive half boxes

      Nice, I really like the 2.0 and saw the half organizers in the store for the first time this weekend. If I was so heavily invested in packout, I'd go all in on the ridgid lineup.
      I was pretty excited when I saw them announce those half organizers. Let me know what you think of them once you get some time with them. I was just in the store 5 days ago and noticed the price on the 28" bot went up to $89.99. That is crazy.

      I love to hear that other people use this for camping. I initially bought it for my side by side and I also thought that this would be the perfect box for camping. However, I sold my side by side and I sold my camper so now it just has a bunch of drywall stuff in it. I like the rigid boxes the best out of all the manufacturers for non-tool related stuff.

    I use mine for camping tools such as mallet, stakes, hatchet, inflators, extension cord, power strip, firestarters, tent broom & dustpan, and a few other odds & ends. Hi there! Thank you very much for your orientation to this tote box! This looks like a really great box that affords some weather and dust resistance, as well as durability.
    I'm in the market to find some sort of tote systems to carry in my pickup truck bed (protected by a softopper cap) for extra storage while towing our travel trailer. The travel trailer lacks an abundance of external storage. I'd guess that I'd get one for my wife, one for me, and a few more for just common camping and trailer equipment.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 2 lety +1

      It's definitely a great box. I've taken it out on the sxs a few times now, it comes back very dirty but everything inside is clean. No dust or water has gotten in for me. It's a little smaller then I was expecting, so I'm not sure how much you need to haul in it but the wheels are super nice especially if you are going to be needing to move it a lot like when camping. I do think its priced pretty decent. I'm disappointed that it came out and was $5 less and after maybe a month of being out even though it went out of stock, the price went up.
      I have a large Plano tote that doesn't have a gasket but was only $25 at HD when I got it. It's a tad bit bigger then this Ridgid box. If you are storing this in your covered truck, you may want to look at that option since you are looking for 4 or more it sounds. Thanks for watching.

    Milwaukee is just to bulky for me, if you in and out of apartments and homes for remodel repairs. I've actually thought of getting the Stanley system. 3 boxes and you can access all of them while stacked . The only problem is they are not very heavy duty. I currently run the original Rigid boxes. I actually prefer the Gen 1 because you have 2 handles to lift up the rolling tool box onto your truck. The handle goes down further so easier to grab that handle and the one on top of the lid. They have excellent , strong handles on the Rigid. Milwaukee missed the mark, when you grab from the sides , your using your back to much.
    I've heard they are same company that builds them.
    Too bulky is only good on large jobs where no tenants or furniture, homeowners etc... IMO

      That is one of the reasons I like the Ridgid boxes so much is the size of them. I also think the build quality on the 1.0's is top notch. I've got two of the ridgid 1.0 medium boxes and love them for so many things. I just picked up the ridgid crate as well. I think ridgid makes the best bang for your buck. If only they would make some drawers. I can't remember but I think your right on the packout and the rigid being made in the same place. They are both made in Israel from what I can remember.

      100% agree. All the boxes that have the slots, should come with dividers I think.
