    Always love hearing the briefings and checklists, especially when they go into great detail and point things out. The A340's are amazing and beautiful; great view of the cockpit in this video. Awesome takeoff that sounds amazing. Amazing view outside this window with beautiful view of the landscape, skies, and the mountain. I love it, awesome video.

    Minimum clean speed of 275 knots seems like a lot. Doesn't that mean they will need to fly with slats deployed at least until 10000feet or whatever tokyo uses for their speed restriction?

    @ 7:09 with a maximum of 10 minutes of (flex) t/o thrust they will reach a maximum of 3000 feet? With three engines out, or what? 😂
    Anybody who noticed that as well? I assumed that value is simply the maximum acceleration altitude, which is not necessarily related to the thrust reduction, other than that it occurs at or after climb thrust is selected.
    A TOGA limit of 5 mins (FLX/MCT limit of 10 minutes) also seems possible

    • @maxou5757
      @maxou5757 Před 2 lety

      MCT has no time limitation. FLEX and TOGA limited to 10 mins during emergency. Otherwise 5 mins.

    I’ve noticed that, in many videos, pilots rotate about a half second after V1. In this video, the gap seemed to be about three seconds. I was wondering... is there a specific reason that rotation may be delayed after V1?

    • @001MeKong
      @001MeKong Před 3 lety +1

      The gap was very big between the speeds. From 142 to 156 it does take a bit longer. If either the engines where more powerful OR the runway was a lot longer the V1 would be closer to the VR in this video. It just took them pretty long to speed up so the remaining runway is shorter, hence the very low V1. Hope I got this right and that it clears things up for you. If not try to read about how the V speeds are calculated in general. Or ask more specific.

    Is this an old video? Modern Airbus aircraft have all that flight planning stuff built-in and pilots don't need to use laptops.
