    Dreaming...I absolutely love this car..
    991.2 Carrera GTS upgraded (after market suspension, tunes, and the potential power) is becoming the cars many porschephiles have been dreaming of...A Komfort GT2..Wow!..+ with a manual transmission it becomes a GT2 touring....Targa Turbo S? No problem with the GTS4 it can happen ( a 4S would also). Speaking of S, how about a C2S or Carrera T narrow body built, paint it yellow and hang on..
    The 991.2 carrera line up was, and still is amazing.

      Thank you 😁👍 Yea the GTS is a brilliant motor and the upgrade really do take it to the next level. A GT2 touring could be a really cool motors. Do like the narrow body Carrera T but can't beat a wide body 911 😁👌

    • @performance_engineering
      @performance_engineering  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Goran. There is 2 solutions to stop the EML coming on with the decats. First is to map them out in the ecu software, second is to use lambda spacers on the secondary lambda sensors, both should work 👍

    What kind of power gains you think you picked up? Is it noticeable far as acceleration? I ha e same car with a tune bmc filter I’m more interested in performance vs sound and was planning on doing soul high flow cats with headers

    • @performance_engineering
      @performance_engineering  Před 3 lety +3

      As a bolt on upgrade only there is not a big jump in performance, noticeable improvement on initial response and doesn't fall flat up top. Because this ecu is a torque based ecu, once the software is adjusted to take into consideration the added hardware (stage 2) I do believe there is some brilliant figures to be achieved over a stage 1 tune only. Will get it on the dyno very soon and do a updated vlog on this 😁👍

    • @performance_engineering
      @performance_engineering  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi. Yes the EML will come on for cat efficiency when running the decats so would require them to be mapping out from the ecu.

  • @solemods5991
    @solemods5991 Před 3 lety +1

    Did you have to map the ecu when you removed the cats?

    • @performance_engineering
      @performance_engineering  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi, removing the Cat efficiency fault codes within the ecu when cat bypass pipes are installed is best via removing the code in the ecu software but you can use lambda spacers on the secondary sensors but does not always stop the EML coming on. Hope this helps

  • @yahomu3529
    @yahomu3529 Před 2 lety +1

    I have a question. Did you get an engine check light?
    If it happened, how did you remove it?
    I'm curious if there's a limit to the output of the car.

    • @performance_engineering
      @performance_engineering  Před 2 lety

      Hi. Thanks, this exhaust setup does sound brilliant. Running cat bypass pipes will bring on the EML which will require either ecu mapping to code it out or another solution is secondary lambda spacers, mapping it out is the best option. The EML on has no effect on the cars performance
