I'm kinda with you on the Penny Pizazz thing. She's great, but also gets on my nerves. One time I had my sim move into the apartment next door to her and he hooked up with penny, but MC Command Center's risky woohoo setting made her get pregnant pretty much immediately. So every time she was either being too loud or visiting to use my shower I felt too guilty to actually tell her off as the father of her child. I think the final nail in the coffin though was when I eventually broke up with Penny, she immediately hooked up with someone else and I had to knock on her door for waking me up moments after the break up 😅

I had a sim living in an apartment that had the lively neighbor's trait and my sim was dating one of the sims on the same floor. And one night the sims apartment of whom she was dating had the woo hoo hearts loud noise coming from it and I, personally got mad and knocked on his door. Then I visited the apartment to see if anyone was over but there wasn't anyone there. I feel like my sim got cheated on but with no way to prove it so I made them move in together so it wouldn't happen again
Simsie: We can't not put railings on the stairs that would be dangerous
Also Simsie: Let's build a highrise rooftop garden with a knee height wall

When you put elevator in 2x2 room you can actually copy and paste the room and that way it lets you have more than one elevator on a lot!! I love creating apartment buildings and I always do that :D

Can you use them to get up or do you still need a staircase?
@@marcella8137 unfortunately not - you could just use the 1st floor apartment though in live mode and put one staircase up to there ig? and for the other floors just pretend :')

Not too long ago one of my Sims had been walking around the downstairs eating her dinner, talking to the dog, re-filling the pet bowl, watching some telly... Then when she was done with her food she walked past the kitchen counters, past the empty dining table, past the coffee table... Upstairs, into one of the bathrooms, where she put her empty plate on top of the halfwall working as a divider for the shower... I was like what the everloving fudge is up with this???

No but why does this bring me so many memories already. I remember that in the early days of the sims 4 I used to build all the time in the penthouse in the fashion district bc I was obsessed with that lot and now seeing you building on a penthouse too made me remember all that 😭

I love that you are branching out of your comfort zone and love this build but also a blue suburban penthouse would have been kind of iconic
In the beginning of this video I was kind of expecting a technically interesting, expensive looking, but rather soulless build. I didn't think it was possible to create an inviting modern penthouse, but you pulled it off! The warm pink-ish elements suprisingly warmed this place up just enough, without overdoing it. 10/10 Well deserved!

I think it would be interesting to see a penthouse shell challenge, but I understand why it wouldn’t work with the single style of the apartments under it (unless you decide to ignore the rest of the apartment building).

That’s hilarious that people didn’t know these exist! The penthouses are my favorite lots to build on-especially Fountainview. I put all my snobby rich artsy sims in that lot.

Penny deserves a better apartment, definitely. But yeah, living near her is frustrating. On the other hand, I'm playing in a different building and I might as WELL have the noisy neighbor lot trait. It'd probably be quieter!

I love the use of the pink in this build because it's not an in-your-face kind of pink plus it adds a nice splash of colour to the overall dark colour theme.

Love the build, but to answer the most important question asked in this video: I adore the ghost with the santa hat. Would love to see him continue to be in the background with festive hats in the future.
SIMSIE YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO GOOD
My go to for showers is building a 1 square room in a corner, adding a University or Snowy Escape shower, raising it to a platform, switching one wall to a window, and then switching one wall to two pillars and spandrels. It lets you change the tile in the shower on the floor and walls while still blending in to the rest, and let’s you have a fully custom shower depending on the window, pillars, spandrels, wallpaper, flooring, and platform trim you use. A lot of times if I have a big bathroom, I’ll do a 4X2 room in it, put it on a platform, place a bathtub in the middle, and one of the modular showers on either in, and then some combo of arches or pillars and spandrels with windows so the sims can get into the “spa tub/shower combo”
ahh I'm so happy you posted this on the gallery! My fav sims live on that lot and their personalities are very pink and black and chic so this is perfect for a nice home makeover
I've made apartment buildings with multiple elevators before. Gotta put the elevator in a room and just duplicate the room. You can't manually place multiple. But you will still need stairs to get up. So it is still just for looks

My sim ended up having twins with a guy who suddenly had found himself in a pool and not coming out of it and Penny moved in to help her raise her children.
I have used the penthouse lots to make a few urban rooftop farms using inspiration from actual rooftop farms in big cities. It's a challenge to get the farm stuff and urban stuff to work as an aesthetic but once it clicks, it's a really cool look and there's something magical about gameplay where you're high above the city trying to wrangle your chickens.
I absolutely love how this build turned out!

I think it says you can build the kind of life you could only dream about. I think that's the beauty of the Sims. I dreamt of having kids, but I can't. So the biggest part of my gameplay is making families and doing the legacy challenge. I love the Sims!

If you make a 2x2(or any size) room and put an elevator in it, then copy and paste the room, it’ll also copy the elevator, so you can copy and paste to the second floor, I used this “trick” today when I was building a mall for my save

Except the EA build in 2017 includes the Jang family apartment, which is magnificent! Obviously it’s not to everyone’s taste, but it’s full, and has a vision, and Billie has tons of toys. It’s my favorite EA build, and I’m really curious who built it.
I actually really like the base version of this lot! I redecorate the interior, but the main structure is lovely and a great loft style penthouse!

I built a penthouse on that spot { I believe when city living came out). To my amazement it has become one of the most popular. I built it in mind with my style (industrial, natural, deep colors) it even has an indoor pool! It is an apartment that I want to live in even though I am a country girl at heart. Love watching builders use this lot. Fantastic job! Really enjoy your channel.

I would *LOVE* to see Simsie building something to use with either My Little Neighborhood or Live In Business from Little Ms Sam. there's a cool mod for usable elevators on mod the sims. They act as a teleporter basically going from object A to B so you could also use them for warp pipes or fake stairs
i used to LOVE penthouses when i was younger all my rich sims lived in penthouses and city living was my fav pack ever 🙏🙏🙏 still think they’re super cool

I just recently built a student housing building with discover university, and it let me place stacked elevators on the same grid space. But it did not allow me to place another elevator on a different grid block. You can connect the elevator to the different levels in the game but it will only allow you to have one elevator chain on the lot.

for the tree planters; i saw some one use halfwalls for them before. so maybe a short halfwall and pink wallpaper wouldve worked, then you could add some other things to it

I think the woohooing in the elevator thing comes from the sims 3 cause that was something you could have them do in that game. There are a lot of things you could do in the sims 3 that you can’t do in the sims 4.

I would love to see you rebuild the penthouse in the fashion district into a family penthouse. I can't stand the basketball court that's current in it, as my sims constantly use it even when I'm trying to get them to cook, shower, or literally do anything else!
