At my AMDA audition, it seemed like the dancers were the least chill ones out of everyone. I felt like they were all glaring at me, especially as I tried to warm-up. None of them spoke, and I was too scared of their attitudes to try to start a conversation. And yet the minute I sat down with someone auditioning with musical theatre, we were chatting like friends. Maybe it was just my audition, but that scared the heck out of me and I pretty much decided that if I went I was gonna be the dancer constantly running with the musical theatre people
Im pretty sure youll find a group of dancers youll like but honestly ive seen plenty of dancers, actors, and mt's (musical theatre people) be in one big friend group so if you come dont worry!

I just wanted to say your rlly pretty and thanks for this video it rlly helps knowing what to expect and things that go on around in AMDA and I wanna be a dance major so the tips about clothes and shoes rlly helped as well. I'm glad you didn't drop out I remember watching your orientation vlog and seeing you dance and your really talented!!

I start at AMDA LA on Monday October 18, 2021 and I'm so excited but things have changed since the pandemic and all I'm worried about is how to pay for it. Thanks BTW for the info and I'm a huge introvert so getting into drama and having problems with people isn't going to cause me to drop out. Don't listen to them I always tell myself "You can't let nobody drag you any lower than you already wanna go."

@@bobatealili1016 sorry I never went I t was too expensive costing about $200,000 I would’ve definitely gone if my dad had some help from my mother paying tuition.

loved this video, very helpful! quick question about dorms/living situation, can you chose which building you want to be living in? Or does the school place you anywhere?
So for your first semester they choose for you and the first week or two you can request to change. After the first semester you can request the building you wanna be in and if you dont get it you can always contact the office!

I cant say much about ny teachers but la teachers are amazing! I loove my teachers but like any school there is always a few that are somethin else🤧
Hi I just got accepted to AMDA LA and I'm so excited and your video helped so much. I'm not sure if I'm going there for sure yet especially since it's a lot of money. But I've heard that you don't actually get a degree is that true? I'm having trouble if I want to go here or an actual university so I can also major in business. Also do you choose your roommates?
I got accepted too!! Congrats..You can go to AMDA for an actual degree or u can get a certificate..im go. ing for the bachelor's degree in acting. IT IS VERY expensive but just keep trying out scholarships and what not...i dont thjnk u can pick ur roomate..i mean whats the odds u know them..at Mississippi school of the arts we filled out a questionnaire to see who we would match up witj roomate wise and thy matched us but if tall dont get along you can file for a room change

How much overall expenses(including Tutuion, room etc.) cuz my mom still hesitating about the expenses hehe
Ima tell ya straight up, its expensive. You spend about $100,000 on just the aos program. Bfa is more semsters which means mooore money🥴 not to mention they make you submit some expenses unannounced and it gets pretty annoying having to always tell them I already paid for it or that they never told me that so they can give me an extension. Best of luck!

Hi! I’m starting the BFA dance theater degree in spring this year, and im a little worried about the security and how safe is it around the area, could you please tell me?, im an international student, and im very excited but very nervous😊
Hey Mariana! There is 24 hour security and they even have a number you can call for a security guard to walk with you in case you must walk alone around campus. Hollywood is a pretty crazy place not going to lie but as long as your in a group and ignoring strangers who might talk to you, youll be fine! I live out here now and it's not too bad once you get used to it. hope this helped! (:

are there parties, hows the social life?
Yeah, there is parties for sure😂 the social life is very alive and let me tell you its a GREAT time lol. I didnt go to them as much sadly but my friends always hung out and we'd have so many fun get togethers either at the dorm or going out
Ok so this is a stupid question but do you also have other subjects like English and math or is it mostly just the thing that you came there for eg .acting or dance
And ,it's fine if you don't know the answer to this,I'm from South Africa and I want to do the video audition.if it is that I get in , hopefully I will ,what will happen would I be sent to America or what because that's something that's been on my mind
yeah so you still take your general education classes if youre in the bfa program but normally its only one per semester but you can also do it on your own online for transfer credits and it also helps you finish your degree quicker if you do online tranfer credits. hopefully that made sense lol but thankyou for watching!!!

Can your absences be excused?
They can so that you dont have to make up for them however the number of absences still count. Ex. If you still miss 3 in your once a week class, you fail. It sucks but I'll explain more in another video ((:
