- Here's how to build a DIY rock wall (at home) in just 2 days! When my bro said he wanted to build a rock wall in his bonus room, I knew I had to help - and it was actually pretty easy! Plus the kids absolutely love it! At its core, it's just 2x4 framing, plywood with holes drilled in it, and some rock climbing holds. Simple!

Definitely!
Turns out this is a dream set up for a huge chunk of people. My mind is off in fantasy land where I can build this in my own house one day and spider girl all around my house. I love it!
I can imagine even as an adult, you could train here with technical holds or even just stamina training. Good stuff. All I do is bouldering so I'd love it and so would the kids. I feel you on the frustration with crooked walls. My house is littered with them. When I went to half finish my basement I blew 300 bucks on lumber because I pre cut my lumber but the side walls and even the concrete foundation were off in some places. One more trip to home depot and choice words got it done. Love the content btw, always has me coming back.
Thanks! And yeah, it would definitely be useful for an adult for the things you mentioned. Great point!
Lucky kids! What an amazing playground - endless fun.
I have an idea. Backyard roller coaster! Make it out of PVC and wood! (Or the sprinkler line you ran into while building the pizza oven 😂)
Honestly, I’ve considered them the whole mini roller coaster thing before😂
LOVE THIS IDEA
So glad y’all are back! Found y’all a while ago and I have watched y’all videos at least 2 times each!
Thanks! Good to be making stuff again 😁
Love it!!!
i love the build, i need one of these in my future house 😂😂😂😂 as a rock climber i cant resist to comment on the tie-dye holds on the angled ceiling seeming rather advanced for young kids LOL! but then again i've seen some kids do some crazy stuff while climbing.
Super cool Bonus!
Thanks!
Looks great. I've missed the videos!!
Thanks! We’ve missed making them!

Hi, this turned out awesome! Can you tell me what kind of holds you used?
What an awesome project! Love your videos. Where did you get the climbing holds? I’m planning to build a climbing wall for my 3 years old son.
Thanks! They’re from Amazon
Hello, really nice job. Im planing to build one for my 2y old son. But I have one question... Climbing holds have two holes for T-nuts, and you guys drill only one. Did you put some normal screw on second one? Can they rotate with just one screw when u put preassure when climbing? Thanks a lot! BR////
Yes, just a normal screw for the second hole to keep them from spinning.
I’ve never seen a channel with such sporadic view counts. It’s actually quite impressive
Yeah, that's what happens when just one video goes viral. 🤷
@@BroBuilds you’ve got a quite few videos with solid view counts so keep it up!
@@BroBuilds Your staged thumbnail style image on the firepit patio build is what made it an absolute banger for views. It was that video that made me subscribe to your channel.
@@Bambicarus thanks man. Got kinda lucky with that one. 🙂 It gives Minecraft vibes, definitely helped it go viral last year.
Do you have to put the 2by4s or just attaching plywoods to studs was strong enough
We needed the space behind the plywood to attach the climbing holds.
Do I need to put 2x4's under the 3/4" plywood? I see you didn't use them on the end wall. What is the purpose of the 2x4's?
Space behind the plywood so the bolts from the climbing holds don’t dig into the drywall.
Wholly cow expensive. But worth every penny
Where did you get the pads from?
They’re just mattresses from Amazon
Have any t nuts fell off the plywood?
Nope, it’s been all good so far
Surprised you didn’t add some window protection. Hope no kids bust through that thing while swinging around 😅
That's... a good idea😅
Those handles scare me.. What if their ankles get caught in that?
There's probably some danger with any kind of jungle gym or climbing structure, but we've made this one as safe as possible. And we know our kids are able to handle it.
@@BroBuilds good to know that you're aware. yeah you gotta be careful and not get reckless
Your build is the only one that demonstrates the use of brains. I'm referring to the furring 2x4's as cross members of the existing structural framing. Otherwise its a waste of material. I watched a few other videos where the numbskulls emulated the vertical framing. I was like, seriously there's no distribution of load, ergo they might as well of fastened the plywood directly to the wall.
Anyhow, good job
build a house a new room in the next video
My mans got $1k in cash sitting around and 4 boys... those two things arnt suppose to go together?
