After the challenge, Pat Parelli coaches Kalley on the tasks she could not complete by demonstrating the 7 Games to encourage a positive reflex. Horses do not respond to punishment and "idle hooves are the devil's playground", so Pat teaches play to inspire change.

I watch...and watch...and watch....and still cannot stop watching. Simply amazing. The secret is understanding you are not above the horse, not forcing, only teaching with kindness. I love it. Thank you so much for teaching all of us stupid humans how to listen to the horse and teach trust by showing respect and honoring the horsiness of a horse. I am so impressed

if you can get the feel and understanding of this exercise your relationship with your horse will benefit greatly. I used these methods ten years ago on a flighty arab and guess what...she still trusts me to do anything I ask of her. Necessary exercise!
@@pnhnut Same here. Twelve years ago I got my mare who was a bit wild from being an orphan foal and very little training. Plus, she had sat in a backyard for a few years doing nothing. Traditional trainers gave up on her when a chain over the nose and lunging wasn't cutting it. Found a mentor who showed me the 7 games and it really was a game changer. Its not the really games themselves but the relationship and trust it develops between horse and human.
Horses like to use their brains Myriam, not just their feet. 😊
They like to figure it out.
