    Actually the Word that was used was deviant and He didn't say it, a female guest on the program said it and she kept trying to make him say it. He said that it wasn't natural out of a biological Point of view, they were discussing sexuality and if it was biological or environmental, his reasoning was that because of the way we are created the natural is for us to be attracted to the opposite sex because it take's a man and a woman to procreate. He also said in that same discussion that he didn't think there was anything wrong with being gay. Also, this was over a year ago and it wasn't a big deal until he won the national contest and was almost immediately declared a favorite and then the media dug this up and people who don't know him or have even seen that program started spreading around that he is against gay people, you who are spreading this are all guilty of cyber bullying. Also, this was a show where the host and the guest's wore having dinner and drinks so everyone was a bit tipsy.

      But even according to your own comment, he has said 'it's unnatural to be gay'. And it's anti-gay, because every gay person in the world knows that it's inherited from birth. Saying 'it's okay to be gay' does not undo that in any way, because it's simply his personal opinion. It's like saying, junk food makes you sick, but it's okay to eat junk food.

      @@Earth098 Rather wierd to reply to such an old comment but ok...it is not His opinion it is a fact or do you know of a case were a man conceived a child with another man or a woman with another woman? We are biologically created to mate and procreate with the opposite sex but that does not mean there is something wrong with not being able to do that.

      @@MerimaTropoja Gay men and women can reproduce if they want (and some do if they were closeted and married to an opposite sex partner) But the only thing is that they don't find opposite sex attractive. You can't start a relationship with someone if you don't find that person attractive. That's the rationale behind it. Not just sex, but attraction.

I watch already Eurovision since 1996 and fell in love with the beautiful song Den Vilda by One More Time. Since then almost every year liked the song of Sweden. Sweden is almost every year my holiday destination and 4 years ago I started learning Swedish. Sverige

    I am an English gay guy and Mans has definitely not offended me and I don't think he has done anything wrong.....it wasn't even said in my language so I'm sure it was translated out of context.....I know from my own experience what homophobia looks like when I see it and this guy is def not homophobic.....over here the gutter press take English spoken interviews out of context, so they would definitely exploit a Swedish interview to sell newspapers.....I hate when the press witch hunt an artist and abuse them by deliberately taking what they've said out of context, they did a similar thing to Chrissie Hynde last year and it made me so angry.....at least with Mans the gay community defended him.....when Chrissie Hynde spoke about her experience of abuse and warned of the dangers of not taking responsibiity for your own safety it was actually other WOMEN who turned against her.

    He said that homophobic people are abominations and unnatural, he is of the opinion that it's not a natural state to be gay (which it definitely is, homosexuality exists in hundreds of other animal species). It doesn't matter if he worded it weirdly or not, he still thinks that homosexuality is unnatural (and he really emphasized the word "unnatural" saying that all men have a natural attraction to women and vice versa). And playing the "I have gay friends"-card isn't an excuse to say homophobic stuff. He's apologizing because he got caught and not because he actually doesn't have that view on homosexuality.

    Never heard of him before Eurovision and the only time we'll hear of him again is when he performs at the next Eurovision in Sweden. Yet another Eurovision one-hit wonder. None of them except ABBA we're ever heard of again outside Sweden. I like Sweden & I liked his song, but the only thing he's sorry about is that people have long memories. If he's "Sorry" for what he said, then why did he say it, and, on national TV? Enjoy your 15mins of fame across Europe coz that's all it will ever be.

Now that he's won Eurovision (which has a huge gay following) he's "Sorry" it's called Damage Control. Good luck to him but as I also said, only ABBA were ever heard of outside Sweden, none of the others...Herrrys, Corola, Charlotte Nilsson, Loreen went on to International Careers, which is a shame coz I love them all.......

    Body language? Over-emphasis on NOT being a homophobe? It really is not hard to discern that he IS a homophobe. He doesn't really care about our (gay) rights, for him he just needs to "pretend tolerance" in order to make his way in the entertainment business without actually connecting with the LGBT struggle. I just hope we haven't entered an age where we have to lie about who we really are to succeed.

      Carsten B This is why people don't like you. Bitches. If he didn't play up his apology you'd be saying the exact same thing, that he is obviously a homophobe because he is not sorry enough. Also, don't comment on what he said if you don't understand Swedish, the translation "abomination" is well off. The real meaning is more like "anomaly".

    • @MsMinoula
      @MsMinoula Před 8 lety +3

      +Carsten B Please don't get me wrong, but may I ask: why does it bother you so much (by you meaning members of the LGTB community) if anyone considers being gay as not normal. From a biological perspective, the normal would be that everyone is straight and giving birth to many babies (or contributes to it :P ). Of course humanity works differently but still it takes a man and a woman to reproduce. I think that every single straight person who says: "I believe that being gay is as natural as being straight" is absolutely lying, so you are right that he is concerned mainly about his job. (I agree with your comment btw) But, that does not mean he is a homophobe, either. Just because he (probably) perceives gay as less natural it does not mean that he has a problem with gay people or that he doesn;t love his gay friends or that he doesn't support their rights. I support gay marriage and I do think being gay is an anomaly. But I believe in the right to the anomaly :P I think that if you stop taking things personally, when they are not meant in a bad way, then fewer people will be lying to you. And that applies to all of us, in any situation..Then we will find the truth as society..and freedom. And if you think about it, the guy has been bullied for a wrong word he used. I'm glad he is not gay though, I can fantasize him better..maybe he is bicurious.
