It's so refreshing seeing someone just react to bts unbiased and fall in love with their music and lyrics as opposed to their flashy dancing or good looks(even though that's what got me into the fandom lol) but you showed a great appreciation and love towards the boys. Go Go is kinda throwing shade at the people who waste and squander their money. Suga in an interview said
"The current generation uses phrases like YOLO and having fun squandering money. But I don't think people think about why they use such terms so much even while using them. We tried to interprate this through Bts's unique perspective. I think it will be a fun track if people think and listen to it again." He then continued on to say "It isn't a BTS album if there isn't a track criticizing society"
I think without suga explaining that, I wouldn't like the song as much as I do. It was still really good to begin with. But I'm big on lyrics. And I now really love what they did with this song.
Well for me it's different I already liked it instantly but then I fell even more in love with go go after their dance performance to it
I think the billboard interview goes more into depth when they applied to Korean youth specifically, because some lyrics focus on them more:
"Go Go" is a trendy song, but it's about how our young generation are living their lives with low expectations and standards so people are upset with reality; they have little hope and there's so much economic hardship. We wanted to say something about it and emphasize to the world that it's not their choice, but brutal reality that forces people to live and spend as if there's no future.
But in Korea, "YOLO" has become a big key word for young people because we don't have money and it's really hard to get a chance to earn a lot of money. I think society has a lot of problems for young people. Young people spend their money on claw crane machines at arcades and they spend like $30 on trying to win these dolls. And then it's like, "Oh! I spent all my money…shit. But I don't regret." That's the biggest luxury for Korea's young people: collecting accessories, cosmetics, that's what they think is a luxury. It's "YOLO" because it's like, "I'm gonna buy allthis! I’m gonna buy all this food and I'm going to eat it! I'm going to do it!" I think it's sad because it's all we can. "Go Go" is just saying, "Okay, just do it, we won't regret it. Just spend several bucks on the machine and eat the food!" But at the same time, the song is very easily to sing along to so I think many people will like that song, especially if they find the deeper meaning.

Watch "Go go" and "Mic Drop" live performances... The choreographies are on another level. "Go go" is a satire... They are talking about the new generation who only think about spend money and go to parties, the live performance is full of memes...

I don't think it's a satire tho, they just tell the truth. The lyrics said 'There's no tomorrow, our future has been mortgaged.' It's a serious issue here in my country that the salary does not rise with the prices for years. Young people work hard but paid low. They can't afford to buy an apartment even they save money for their entire lives. So they end up spending on clothing, delicious food, partying, traveling etc. They called these 'small bliss', which is created by a famous Japanese writer, Murakami Haruki, and soon spreading among young people. I can totally relate to the lyrics and it makes me sad.😓

I didn't like 'Go-Go' initially either, but then I watched the live version & fellow Army confirmed this is their satire song. Seeing their dancing coupled with the lyrics made it fun.

The first time I heard Go Go I was "This one isn't my favorite..." but after watching the choreo and reading the lyrics I started to like it more and more. I really don't know why!
I didn't like it at first, I though it was too upbeat alongside with Mic Drop but I started appreciating those two songs after seeing them perform.
I disliked it at first because I didn't like the lyrics so much. Then when I saw the performance I realized that the lyrics were supposed to be sarcastic and I didn't see that at first. Now it's one of my hype songs

I saw a lot of verified accounts comment on their twitter posts and praising them to get army's attention then talked shit about them later when army's called them out for trying to use bts. and about jeff, I'm honestly just disappointed about the whole mess but I'm still grateful to him for all the good interviews, articles and positive posts he continues to make about bts. he might've fucked up but you can't deny he's done bts more good than bad and we can't take that away from him. as in for wale, I don't even know where the whole idea of him taking advantage of namjoon or bts came from.. ??

They often experiment with different sounds, that's honestly one of the things that made them stand out since the begining from other boy groups, it's not like they're intentionally trying to appeal a more international audience i would think.... And they do use english in their songs tho Best Of Me is the one that i truly feel has a lot in comparison to their previous albums

i was already subscribed and followed most of your videos but wow the fact you reacted to my fave band and shared so many thoughts on the album that weren't just on the surface. you having listened to the music and having tried to understand the message behind the songs is so amazing. it's just really cool to see a video that isn't just; "wow, so unusual, doesn't mean i don't like it, just not my thing", i absolutely hate those click bait videos. but you ended up talking about the production (which btw, the majority of the songs are coproduced by two of the members in the band, from time to time the track melody of the others gets chosen as well) and lyrics (also cowritten by the members) and vocals.

First song was Intro: Serendipity a solo of one of the members, Jimin! My personal favorite! This has a music video! (Well, it's called a trailer, but still.)
Second was DNA, the title track (which basically means the one they promote the most with and the one they have a music video).
Third was Best of Me, which was a collaboration with the Chainsmokers. Yes, those Chainsmokers. They met at the BBMA's and hit it off.
Illegal/Dimple has dumb puns and is catchy as hell.
The head voice in Pied Piper is Jimin, he's the one who usually takes most of the high notes, and most of his vocal range rests in Counter Tenor territory, which is the highest range for males.

thank you so much for not being like so many of those other reactors who only watch bts to boost their subscription count. you actually took the time to listen to the whole album, regardless of visuals, and pointed out a lot of musical aspects which i was really happy about, since the members actually played major roles in producing the songs. i also really liked how honest you were, especially when you didn't particularly enjoy a song, unlike so many reactors who just overreact to a music video for the views, even though you can tell they didn't really care about it. you took the time to read the lyrics as well, and even read them out which made me feel really proud. i can tell as a long time fan, that you really understand what it's like when the people you look up to get taken advantage of, or when they really care about their fans, and i'm really glad that you were able to point out these things in this video. this is probably my favourite reaction of all time for this album, and it was made even more enjoyable by the fact that you were able to appreciate it even as a non-fan.

This was such a pleasant video to watch and it was sososo nice to hear some insight from someone who isn’t too into the fandom but is still open enough to even listen to the entire album. Love Yourself is actually really different from the rest of BTS’ previous albums but I think that’s kind of what makes it BTS’ style since they tend to experiment with a lot of different sounds. I think it would be cool if you could listen to some of their older albums like Wings or Young Forever bc I would really love to hear your opinions on their style progression throughout the years and of course have that lead into your eventually slip into the fandom lmao

Just so you know, Go Go is poking fun at aspects of modern youth culture and social trends. All the Yolos, spending money, where the party at are cliche phrases/lyrics that BTS have never written before but they do it here sort of ironically and in a sarcastic sort of tone
The dance performance emphasises that even more cos it literally is a mix of a bunch of viral dance trends like the backpack kid and dabbing

The first time I got into BTS was when I was watching "CZcamsrs React to K-Pop" and Dope was the first video and I eas like "who is this, what are their names, I need to know" and I was so addicted right then and there. Jungkook is my bias forever but I love all of them and I just want them to be happy and successful and healthy bc that's what they deserve

I loved your reaction and the opinions you offered! I hope you react to their WINGS album. It's very interesting to listen to it because they have 7 solo songs in there, one for each member, with very personal lyrics that they wrote themselves.
(usually, RM and Suga, and sometimes Jhope, are the ones to write songs, together with their team - sometimes more, sometimes less. It depends, really, but usually they tend to either write and produce their songs or at least have a good part in the process of doing that, which is unusual in the industry.)
The styles of the songs vary and it's a way of getting to know the members.
Since you liked Serendipity, I think you'd also love House of Cards (sung by the vocal line) and Born Singer, so add them to WINGS.
Your comment on Jimin's sincerity in Serendipity really struck me. It is a very true statement. If you get to know BTS, you'll find that everybody have that sincerity, just expressed in different ways.
RM: a true lyricist that uses very interesting metaphores, something prompted by the huge amount of knowledge his high IQ mind possesses. (He wrote Serendipity; his solo in WINGS is Reflection)
Suga: So honest and raw. His lyrics can destroy you sometimes with how close to home they hit, and he espresses those lyrics so well. I think he's the one who tends to really go on the personal in his verses. Raw emotion! (his solo is First Love)
Jhope: The guy you liked at the end there. Yeah, his style is bouncy, very energizing, which goes well with the Sunshine he is. He chose the stage name Jhope in order to hopefully bring hope to the people around him. (His solo is Mama, which is definitely dedicated to his mom. He also did the Intro for WINGS, the same way Jimin did for Serendipity. Boy Meets Evil, the intro, is spectacular, both lyrically and the video itself because he dances his ass off through it all and really gives life to those lyrics, which he wrote)
Jin: He has a very sweet voice that has a kind of dreamy quality to it, very good for ballads. His solo, Awake, did make me tear up.
V: very deep, soulful voice. Like, that's enough, even though it's a short description. If you listen to him, you'll understand what I mean. (His solo is Stigma)
Jungkook: very versatile, sings like an angel. That high note in Dimple was him. He's the youngest, which is important to keep in mind when listening to hi solo, Begin.
Jimin: our angel from Serendipity. His voice is naturally more high pitched and is so very sweet. (His solo is Lie)
