I definitely agree. If we're limited on wave expansion space, they could at least open up for lots of Zen core presets for us Fantom 0 users.

I bought a fantom 07 and realpy like it but the 256mg of storage is insane
Absolutely horrendous it's like they didn't even try with the space for this thing
I remember owning a fantom x back around 2005, and updating the available memory on the synth was dead easy. It used PC ram sticks, so you just popped the cover off and installed. Just check that you read the Roland memory upgrade document for correct RAM voltage and speed.
I suspect like most tech, the RAM is soldered on to the board at the factory on the 0 series.
I love my fantom 06, but the amount of storage they give it is really terrible. Its ok for patches sure, but for those lush sample packs, some of them you’d be lucky to get three of the bigger ones installed.
Why don’t Roland allow users to install to external usb flash drive? I suspect they want to drive sales towards the main fantom synth and not the 0 series!
Yeah it definitely seems like they're really limited on the 0 series just to drive sales to the flagship. I believe the Juno Gi allowed a usb stick for additional space.
The fantom 0 is good but definitely missing some key specs!

I Uninstalled supernatural acoustic 1 from my fantom 07. Lost the installed pad sounds in the process. How do I download the SN-AC1 expansion back in? And do I download the Scene file that's within this expansion also?
Thanks for the comment. I'm not a 100 percent sure. If it's a factory sound set. I would recommend factory reset. Otherwise follow the steps on the fantom expansions there is an option to install scenes as well
256MB of storage is a joke. I realy don't understand, why they cut storage so much on 0 series...
It makes zero sense. You can fit 1 tb on a thumb drive these days.

Do you know what the optimize button is when you go to the wave/expansion capacity category ?
The kbd sample optimization button should be to help organize any sample data you bring into the board
So It doesn’t make the new samples or expansions smaller in byte size ?
Also does every factory one come with some memory already used ?
I'm not 100 percent sure. I believe so. Mine has 3 expansions already built into the board

Lol, it's ok. Just make sure when you're in roland Cloud manager, you're downloading the fantom 0 series expansions.
It's should sort in the top left hand corner.
