I recommend that you watch "Loaded Weapon 1"
This was Jet Li's intro into American cinema.
R.I.P. David Sanborn. He is the sax player you hear in the background of all the Lethal Weapon movies. He passed away a few days ago. One of the all-time greats.
a few days ago ???? oh no rip - thanks for sharing that
Before Jet Li became an actor, he was the undefeated World Champion for 5 years straight.
The best thing about this one was that it introduced us Westerners to Jet Li. The rumor around this movie is that they had to redo the house fight where Jet disables everyone because the first shoot he moved too fast for the cameras to keep up. A similar rumor is told of both him and Jackie Chan in the Forbidden Kingdom movie.
Same thing for Bruce Lee.
Actually, Mel had to react being hit by Jet a few seconds before the latter started to hit him because Jet was just so fast.
It is said that Wesley Snipes was also told to slow down during the fight choreography in the Blade franchise.
Gibson confirmed Lethal 5, which he is directing because original series director Richard Donner passed away. Scheduled release Spring 2025.
This was meant to be over the top cheese and entertaining wrap up of the franchise. I expected it and loved it. It was like telling fans "Thank you for your support and we went all out for you on this last one." I can appreciate that.
Coby, the tough guy, an accomplished martial artist, is of course Jet Li who went on to make many a movie, serious and comedy. Good watch 👍🏻
He was a star in Asia a long time before this was made. This was his North American debut
@@billthomas478yeah in fact a lot of his fans in China didn't like this movie because Jet Li was cast as the villain.
Jet Li was the biggest action hero in China at the time.
I love how Lorna still calls him “Riggs”. 😄
A flawless farewell to this amazing family on screen and behind the camera
Richard Donnor really brought out an aura of reality and depth with these characters in their personalities and interactions you really feel like they are those characters and you understand where they are coming from we have got to know them feels like they are friends and the chemistry between all involved makes these 4 movies something I other franchise has done as in make FOUR great movies …love this one equally to the other three the character growth and action scenes all stepped up a notch
Ya know. Ever since the first movie, the Murtaugh house has been tore up. It's gotta be rough on the neighbors. "Did I just hear gunfire?" "Oh, that's just Wednesday at the Murtaughs."
The dude driving the Benz in the highway chase scene is James Hamada. He choreographed the fight scene in “The Bourne Identity”.
"Anything you need Leo gets. - Get it?"
I think the "cheese" at the end was somewhat intentional knowing this was going to be the last Leathal Weapon film. Kind of a curtain call, farewell, type thing. The "we're family" was more for the cast than the audience.
Agreed. At least, i took it the same way as you. And i think It SHOULD be the last.
Now i had to take my Lethal Weapon Collection out of the Shelves and watch it again.
😁😁😁
The way Murtaugh hollers in fear on the highway there, sounds like a big bird, rooster of some kind.
This scene makes my laugh harder than most because it unlocks a childhood memory about my Dad. He was going to burn a very large pile of brush and got the "great" idea of using gasoline(about 5 gallons worth). He at least poured a trail of gas a pretty decent distance from where it was going to burn, but it was a very hot and relatively calm day and by the time he was ready to ignite it, the fumes had made it to him. When he struck the lighter, it went off like a bomb. It had enough force that it blew my hat off and I was a good 100ft behind him. Naturally he ran away, but he sounded just like Murtaugh did and was even flapping his arms the same way. Luckily he wasn't hurt, just singed a bit.
Coby's reactions to all the "Lethal Weapon" movies are gold!! I'm sad that there are no more of those movies for her to react to -- unless there happens to be a fifth movie someday...
time will tell !
@@criminalcontentloaded Weapon 1 but maybe Die Hard films first
Nice to see another reaction to this crowd-pleaser. It's a worthy finale to the series. Also, it's amazing how quickly they made this movie in time to get into theaters for the summer of '98.
I think Roger is the only one who is clueless
23:11 To quote the second movie: Roger’s armed. They’re trying to save Butters’ life.
The gunman at the start? If Boba Fett was a criminal that's what he'd look like.
The fun thing about this movie series is how each movie added a new character to the team.
Lethal Weapon 1: Riggs joins Murtaugh
Lethal Weapon 2: Leo joins Riggs & Murtaugh
Lethal Weapon 3: Lorna joins Riggs, Murtaugh & Leo
Lethal Weapon 4: Butters joins Riggs, Murtaugh, Leo & Lorna.
Wonder who Lethal Weapon 5 will add to the team. The tagline is “The explosive conclusion to the Lethal Weapon Saga”. IMDb has a photo of Riggs & Murtaugh in a cop car and Glover & Gibson looks pretty good in it. Don’t look their age at all.
19:15 insurance which is why they were made captains so the city could get an insurance company to cover them. They lost their insurance cause of all the claims against Riggs & Murtaugh. 22:51 Roger is the only one that doesn’t know who the father is. If I was Roger I’d be more upset that they got married without me and I didn’t get to walk her down the aisle. 24:43 figure Roger is around 61yrs old and Martin is almost 50 yrs old. 37:14 well he’s being professional. The case is more important than arguing with Butters and his daughter. 41:02 Riggs had some of the unfinished bills that the General could compare with what he was given and it gave enough doubt that Riggs was telling the truth. 46:56 they’re playing on the whole “will it” bit they were doing. How they talked earlier about willing themselves not to get old. With this scene you see Murtaugh looking at the water “hearing” Riggs telling him where to find him. 50:56 love the way they did the credits. At the time a fitting ending for the end of the saga until they decided to do the 5th one. It’s sad that Richard Donner passed away but told Mel Gibson that he wanted him to direct it if he passed away. If they stick with the ages and time frame Murtaugh would be mid 80s and Riggs mid 70s. They’ll always treat Leo the way they treat him cause it’s their way to show they care for him.
Great reaction. I can never choose between 3 and 4. The stories surrounding Roger taking money and his family hiding the truth about Butters etc always make me want to pick 4.
Speaking of Buddy Cops, watch Bad Boys trilogy, Rush Hour trilogy, Ride Along 1&2 & 21& 22 Jump Street. There are totally worth it 👌.
Don't forget "The Nice Guys" starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling! Another Shane Black film!

My mistake.
@criminalcontent I love your reactions especially how sarcastic you are and have a beautiful smile and a intoxicating laugh.
The pom pom movies from Hong Kong lol.
See more Jet Li!
Romeo Must Die
Kiss of The Dragon

Fist of Legend
Once Upon A Time in China 1 & 2
Unleashed
Fearless
Love Romeo Must Die filmed in my hometown Vancouver BC, Canada. If I'm not mistaken Fist of Legend is a remake of Bruce Lee's 2nd movie 1972's Fist of Fury. Finally... *The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.*
-Bruce Lee
Don't forget that Jet Li was in the first 3 Expendables films as well...
Ocean Heaven (2010) is his best dramatic acting performance.
You forgot The One.
Also forgot Cradle to the Grave
FUN FACT Glover's DYI siren was not his first time. He did it previously in a movie called Henry and the Hendersons. Danny was in makeup as he was playing Big Foot.
Do you mean Harry and the Hendersons? Danny Glover was not in the Big Foot suit. He wasn't in that film.
I've always loved that little speech by Leo at the end. Never fails to make me tear up.
Yesterday I just finished your Leathal Weapon trilogy of reactions, so this perfect timing for leathal weapon 4.
Love your reactions Coby, you are so fun and happy.
When Leo say "You're not better friends than frogy, you are just different friends", that really pulls at my heart strings.
The thing about the Leathal Weapon series that makes it different than other buddy cops movies, ALL of the bad guys are killed, no returning role for a bad guys. If you are a cast as a bad guy you are going to get killed, sometimes in a horrible way.
Crazy that the first one was like 14 years prior!
*A Lethal Weapon 5, with all the Gen Z-ers from LW4, would be great! The Riggs' Son, the Butters' Daughter, AAAANNNNND..... Officer Ping (Steven Lam)! He came in clutch with the scissors. You know he's first responder these days.*
I still have not met the father of my sister's 2 year old baby and probably never will. So it's possible
You say "wedding, oh, opposite..grave" my mom always said they were the same thing😂. Honestly, when you could hear the wedding procession driving down the road (like a funeral procession) honking their horns in celebration my mom would always say out loud "oh that's sad, someone died".
In the 70's several friends of my Dad's bought small trailers to put on trailer spaces at a trailer park in Rosarito Beach, Baja Ca. Mex. Everybody was connected with auto racing including 2 - Indy 500 Champions. The owner of the trailer park allowed them to build onto & around their trailers. Similar to what Riggs & Lorna did in the movie with his Ca. beach trailer. I'm not sure if there is anywhere in Ca. that you can build on the beach like that. In the 80's, I lived in Newport Beach, Ca. Due to Ca. property tax laws, people were buying old houses on a large lot or even buying 2 adjacent lots with good location and/or view. Instead of tearing down the old house to build, they wrapped a new house around the old one. The property taxes on a "remodel" of an old house were much less than the taxes on new construction. Believe it or not, I even saw a house under construction where they jacked up the old house & it became part of the 2nd story. They built a whole new ground floor of the house & then lowered the old house into place.
I was wondering why you hadn't mentioned Jet Li's name at all, lol. Awesome reaction as always. *high-fives*
Instant like for knowing who Ned Kelly was.
Jet Li an absolute Legend! Got totally annihilated by critics and fans for playing the Bad guy...
Never change the intro, it's perfect! Amazing you have missed these movies when they came out! :)
Coby, you mentioned Chris Rock being in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise (2) when his character in this film appeared. Fyi...Eddie Murphy, in an attempt to heighten the visibility of fellow comedians just starting out, has a habit of giving comics he likes bit roles in his films. You may remember Damon Wayans in the 1st BHC film. He was the hotel buffet guy with the bananas.
Payback (1999), a film noir gangster-mob-movie, was Gibson's best, I reckon. Well worth a watch! 😄🤙
only the original cut...
Welcome to the family
Thx great réaction 😊
Coby had a little fun before the movie her eyes are super cached
Kind of a shame that Coby's journey through this franchise is over for now (part 5 is still to come), but now that she's seen Jet Li in his first big role in Hollywood in the last part, she could continue with a journey through the world of his movies, just as an idea.
If you're interested, I would definitely recommend "Kiss of the Dragon" (2001) first, my favorite of his, which is very different from all other martial arts films due to its unique selling point with the "needles" (I can't say any more, otherwise I'd be spoiling things).
Fun fact: Gibson had asked the writers to kill his character in LW4 because he didnt want to do anymore films on that franchise. However this idea was rejected after filming the scenes since it was too dark and grimm and changed it giving the franchise a happier ending.
then like 20+ years later he goes " I WANNA DO LETHAL WEAPON 5! " and now Lethal Weapon 5 is going to start shooting.
Grim has one M unless it's the name.
@@Kazeromaru Such a bad idea, just let it be.
Jet Li told a story during an interview that always stuck with me. He learned Wushu (Chinese for martial arts) from a young age and as a kid he went all over China winning competitions and becoming famous; when he was about 12 (I think) he was on the Chinese National Wushu Team and they were invited to Washington DC to meet President Nixon and do a Wushu demonstration at the White House. It was a big deal because US - Chinese relations were very strained at the time. Li said the team was told by Chinese agents that they couldn't trust the Americans and their hotel rooms would be bugged so they had to be very careful what they said and should always assume they were being recorded. The team was put up in a very nice hotel and when Li saw his room he got very excited because it was one of the nicest places he'd ever seen. Thinking about his room being bugged he said he went over to a vase of flowers and whispered, "I want chocolate." Then he went over to a mirror and whispered, "I want ice cream." Then he went over to a lamp and whispered, "I want cookies." He did this for a bit requesting various treats and then went to prepare for the demonstration. He and his teammates got dressed up and did their demonstration on the White House lawn, met Nixon, got pictures taken, the whole dog and pony show. When they finally got back to their hotel Li opened the door to his room and he said there was a big table of full of deserts with everything he asked for, just a mountain of ice cream, cakes, chocolate, etc. He called his teammates in and they had a feast. Apparently the FBI had bugged his room but they decided to be nice.
Coby's reactions are great. Reminds me of when I first saw the same movies.
there is spouse to be a 5th Lethal Weapon film...which there has had a few revisions with Screenplay and also waiting for the perfect timing for the Actors to be able to do it
Great reaction from Coby to a fun lethal weapon movie Jet Li steals the show in it
Jet Li has a movie noone has reacted to called "the one" time travel sci fi martial arts.
For more buddy cop action, I recommend watching the Rush Hour trilogy, Red Heat, Tango and Cash and the first three Bad Boys films. For more Jet Li, I recommend watching The One, Fearless, Kiss of the Dragon, Unleashed and The Expendables
I’d recommend “Romeo must die” starring Jet li as the good guy, and Aliyah( r.ip) as the love interest
The Department Of The Treasury came down hard on the studio that directed "To Live and Die in LA.", because they showed part of the actual procedure for counterfeiting bills.
They put the money in dryers with poker chips and coins to make it look worn and used.
Now that you watch all the Lethal Weapon movies you are ready for the spoof of this movies called Loaded Weapon with Emilio Estevez and Samuel Jackson
The white PJ guy is Jet Lee. If you liked him then you should see "Kiss of the dragon" it´s a really good film.
Great reaction love all 4 but 3 is my favorite 🔥🔥💯💯
This my favorite jet li was the hardest bad guy in all lethal weapon movies
Cradle 2 The Grave and Romeo Must Die are two good Jett Lei crime movies that are great watches.
Great way to close out the series
20:42 OJ thing was in 1994, then the trial in 1995.
Another amazing movie that Coby should react to is Ip Man, the story of the man who trained Bruce Li starring Donnie Yen who Coby was introduced to in John Wick 4.
Great reaction to this series! Now, Loaded Weapon has to be next 😅
Damage - Most law enforcement agencies are immune from damage liability while performing their duties. Some agencies have damage funds available that you can apply for but are not automatically entitled to. Otherwise it would be up to YOUR insurance company. With that said what Riggs does is a little overboard sometimes and I think the agency would be happy to pay and keep you quiet, if not you would have a decent legal case.
Check out the movies Cradle 2 The Grave(2003) and National Security(2003).
DANG! Just joined the premier in the middle! Love the Lethal Weapons!! I marathon them every year!! They contribute (?) to the reason I don't like BRAVEHEART!! All I see is Riggs in a kilt!! I'm going to start your reaction to the beginning cos you're that freaking cool to watch,, watch!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
One good movie with the villain of this movie is romeo must die, In which Jet Lee plays the lead role
I highly recommend watching the series. Story line is good.
Jet li is unbelievable
Hi Coby hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
16:20 The therapist might have overreacted on a professional level, but it is totally understandable. Just think about how much Riggs has probably messed with her over the years. Riggs is the perfect example of the boy who cried wolf.
You should check What some consider the original buddy cop movie 48hrs(1982) with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte
Hi Coby, I recommend "Falling Down" 1993.
I spent 2&1/2 months in Somalia when I was in the Navy Seabees. Somalia currency bills get bigger in size which each denomination.
Great one! Tango and Cash for the future reaction ❤
It doesn't matter how good Riggs is at martial arts. He's fighting Jet Li.
Great saga this was! Please continue with the Die Hard saga, which is also good, at least until Die Hard 4.0 is good.
Ok A.R. doesn't stand for assault rifle. It stands for Armorlite the original designor of that firearm. Why to people listen to the news and assume they aren't being lied to about everything. That drives me nuts
Just started watching your reactions, Coby. You are so beautiful and seeing your reactions has been a hoot.
If you haven't seen it you should watch Jet Li in Unleashed.
31:13 Mercedes Benz made some really nice S class sedans back in the 1990s better S classes in the 1980s.
I mean, he took my gun apart with one deft move. How did he do that? Huh? How?
"Yeah, okay. Let's go ask'em"
After Chow Yun Fst and Jackie Chan, Jett Lee was THE martial arts guy in Hollywood. He has done some great movies with heart also. Aaliyahs big breakout role just before she died, Animal, with Bob Hoskins and Morgan Freeman, ironically in the Expendables as a good guy and Mel Gibson was bad!
It's interesting for me to know watching you that you know how fire behaves in a closed building. Hmm.
Forbidden kingdom is great with jet li
Wait... 🤔 LEO survived the shipwreck?❤
You should do a revenge movie poll with movies like Peppermint or Payback or An Eye For An Eye or The Brave One or The Count of Monte Cristo. I think a poll like that would do good.
yeah - we've been establishing the channel here, but will start doing polls now that we're settled next week
I will like and subscribe for Coby. Since she is the only one I watch. ❤
Demcades later rumors of a possible lethal weapon 5. I guess they would be king retired.
The poor Murtaughs. Everything they own gets destroyed constantly 😆
seriously, lol, their address in the phone book sure was a problem
Honestly, there's no chance that Leo could get a license to carry a concealed weapon. At least, not in California.
They are practically impossible to acquire.
You should now, after being introduced to the man in the PJ's none other than Jet Li, you should watch both “Romeo must Die” & “Kiss of the Dragon”
@44:25 hehehe..I giggled a little...knowing that is true..:)
I think you would enjoy the movie 'Unleashed', with Jet Li, Morgan Freeman, and Bob Hoskins.
14:34 that's cause they are from the south ...
If you want some good Jet Li movies. Fist of Legend, Fearless, Once Upon a Time in China.
I'd like to see Coby react to 'Get Shorty' (1995)
k we love that we'll ash if she's seen it
These two are costing the city alot of money in property damage. 😂
they sure do !
The majority of action movies are over the top! That's what makes them great!
By this movie, they're 10 yrs older. Umm, Im thinking Riggs induced Lorna's pregnancy.
Yes, 10 donuts. Because 12 would be too many.
Yeah this is a good one jet li is a real martial artist as far as nothing I didn't get it she said it was cheese but at the time they weren't cheesy the people compare movies nowadays with those lines and then they said that they're cheesy but they weren't around when it came out and they compared to now
I still think Jet Li should have easily beat Mel and Danny in the final fight, but of course the protagonists need to win.
What went wrong with the camera setup? 🤔
our girl bumped the camera a little at the top, so she was slightly out of focus for the whole thing - we tried to sharpen it a little but it looks a little off either way, honestly
