I love By The Fireplace. It took several wears before I was hooked and it became one of my winter favorites. I also like Under the Lemon Tree and On A Date as summer fragrances.

One of my topnotch fragrances. I always get compliments whenever I'd wear By The Fireplace, really love the Vanilla scent it projects. Solid 10/10 winter fragrance!
For real. I mic it with a citrusy fragrance during summer and it creates the perfect mix too. It’s super good layered

Really like this fragrance. When I got this one, I also got a decant of Scents of Wood Praline in Maple at the same time, and man they are so similar on a test strip.
Top tier fall/winter scent. Will always have a bottle. Lasts firever on clothes and prefer that over spraying on skin. Very smoky burning woods and cloves in the opening with a very sweet marshmellows and smores drydown.
Can it be worn in spring?

My favotites are Soul Of the Forest, Across Sands, By The Fireplace and Jazz Club. Sadly the whole perfume line (black bottles) got discontinued a couple of years ago.
I just received it today in the mail. I had never smelled it before but I instantly fell in love with it. Sad here in California our cold weather is not long so I won’t be able to wear it much.
wear it anyway, as long as you’re in a place with ac, and even without ac. think about middle eastern fragrances and how dense and sweet they get, yet middle easterns wear them despite them being near the literal desert lol 😂

REVIEW:
This is a unisex masculine-leaning scent of burning fireplace wood that has been smoothed out and slightly sweetened by vanilla and orange blossom so it does not get too perfumey or feminine.
Smelling like a fireplace is definitely unique (especially with the Peru balsam and clove) but simultaneously familiar.
This is for those looking for a versatile soft woodsy and comforting!
I grew up in the mountains and ski areas and lived in cabins with fireplaces. This brings all of that to mind. It smells like when you have spent a fall evening in front of a bonfire or campfire, after a day on the slopes, talking with ski bum friends, roasting marshmallows. When you go inside you smell like burnt wood and smoke, and something sweet. I actually would have named it Campfire or Bonfire, as I think it smells more like an outdoor fire experience, with smoke permeating your clothing. For me it is full bottle worthy!

I've tried the Replica discovery set. Great value to try many of their popular frags. With that said, for me, I think "By the Fireplace" smells too smoky. My favorites are "Sailing Day" and "Jazz Club".

This is an outstanding scent - but wow, I found hypnotizing fire by Harmonist - and I think it just encompasses the smoky, warm, seductive aura just thaaaat much better. I say that if money was no object.
Since I am on a fragrance budget however... this one hits it out of the park when it comes to value.
Hypnotizing fire is my hands down favorite fragrance I get compliment every and I mean every time I wear it
I have many frags from the Replica line. Maybe my favorite is Soul of the Forest. I like By the Fireplace, but Jazz Club a bit better. I like Under the Lemon Tree. Its underrated, as is Autumn Vibes.

This is way better than Jazz Club IMO. When I smelled Jazz Club in the store I instantly thought of a smoker in their late 60s

In the dead of winter I spray this fragrance basically every single day. I rarely wear it out of the house but I always have it on my sweatshirt at home or blanket.
I also have “marshmallow fireside candles” so my whole house just smells like this cozy masterpiece.
This is one of my few favorite unique scents I have ever tried, I tried on 2018 love itttt so much but I was so disappointed with the longevity and progection 😭😭 even with over spray it doesn’t last on my skin or my clothes for more than an hour 🤦🏻♀️
Yeah, that's what I find as well. It doesn't last long at all. 1 hour top.

I dunno man, my nose sucks. With this one I only get ash and burnt wood, nothing else. I do however really like Jazz Club. With what I smell I can easily, easily close my eyes and see myself in a jazz club, sitting down in a leather couch just chilling and listening to some jazz.
My favorite from the house is "Across Sands."
I've got a decant of Across Sands. I like that scent profile, but I think Serge Lutens Arabie does it better.
I sprayed By the Fireplace on my wrist in Sephora and I initially did not like the scent it gave off. But the dry down had me smelling like a toasted marshmallow, mixed with slight bonfire smoke smell for the rest of the day and night. I couldn’t stop smelling wrists and my friends were following me around all night telling me how good I smelled. I really love this perfume, and I’m bummed that I’ll have to put it away soon for the Spring/Summer season. But come next September and it’ll be heavy in my rotation. 😌🤍🧡🤎

I'm surprised by how many positive things people had to say about this. I love Jazz Club, but when my wife and her friends got a smell of By the Fireplace, they all thought I smelled like I've been sitting out around a fire.. And that's not a compliment. The smoked/burnt smell makes it just a little too unusual, and is just a little too much for my taste.
I enjoyed "Music Festival" but, by and large, I find MMM parfums a bit lackluster. In a large market, they just don't stand out.

Jazz Club doesn’t last on me nor is it unique enough for me to warrant a fb purchase. Not bad though but to me BtF is one of a kind. Perfect for colder weather, nights or even a date night. Sweet, cozy, nutty, gorgeous parfum.
I agree. I like Jazz Club, but not enough to get another bottle/refiller. Very sweet vanilla rum and pepper that makes it almost coconutty with faint tobacco in the background. I'll probably will always keep a bottle of BTF.
How does this compare to Forest Blends from Scentologia
