De Danann played a concert for us secondary school pupils in Claremorris circa '82 , I don't think Dolores was with them but it was my first introduction to the more modern Irish folk music. Frankie did all the talking and I think we needed to pay .50p for the pleasure. Nice memory. I did meet Dolores circa 1984 when she dropped into the Pub I was working part-time in Mayo as well. What fascinated me on that night was how LONG her hair was, and beautiful, more importantly the guy that was with her went out to the car and brought in a Saxophone and so began a four hour session of song music and fun. The Sax was soo different yet absolutely in tune with Dolores voice. Memories ❤️ Bless her 🙏
She was a good friend of my brother Ray who had a small hotel on Lough Corrib. I sang with her a few times!
