My late Aunt paid for us to accompany her to New York and back on that magnificent ocean liner. The entire journey was incredible and seamless from embarkation to disembarkation. Thanks so much Auntie Mary, miss you so much. ❤
Andy and Kristie, Glad you enjoyed QM2. Many of her “quirky” features are a direct result of her transatlantic pedigree, including having the lifeboats high in the ship to keep her lifeboats out of harms way on stormy crossings. Did you visit the Commodore Club on Deck 9 forward? It’s an iconic observation lounge with the largest ship model on board. Come back for a transatlantic -the ship excels on crossings!
She is a beautiful ship, classy and elegant in design, built for the transatlantic crossings, we've done both directions and New England on her....she is magnificent and so are her crew ❤️
If you think it was carnage in the buffet on Holland America, I certainly wouldn't recommend a Carnival Cruise out of any port in Florida, USA. Absolute madness and mayhem.
Thank you for an informative & entertaining video Agree with you wholeheartedly about the clotted cream same on afternoon tea with Viking. The beauty is in the detail 😊
Love your videos. Always sad when they’re over. Look forward to the next one. I’m from Canada 🇨🇦 Planning to see more of Europe and to travel on QM2 is on my bucket list. Thanks again for sharing 👍🏻
First time I’ve watched your vlog, and it’s very informative and enjoyable. We love Cunard and have done the Transatlantic cruise from West to East on QM2, and it is just wonderful, the days just fly past. 😀🏴
Glad you had a great time! I boarded in Southampton when you disembarked to sail to NY and back. 2 weeks at sea, was absolutely lovely. Very relaxing and enjoyed every moment. Food was delicious!.
Excellent review thank you. We had inside for short break last year and obstructed balcony mid ship deck 8 very convenient for our recent round trip TA in August. Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Our first cruise was on the QM2! Beautiful ship and great experience! I've been waiting awhile for you guys to go on Cunard!!! A tip--if you do a transatlantic, go east to west. That way, you gain an extra hour almost every day and you get the amazing experience of sailing into NYC!
I was surprised about the cream being served has been changed. I cruised on all the Cunard ships over the decades multi[le times including a world cruise on the old QE ll before it retired. All the time they served scone with the real clotted cream! Enjoyed watching your video. Thank you both.
I think you've changed are minds about the QM2 i think we would love to do a cruise her it looked amazing you both looked very smart glad you enjoyed it hope you both have a lovely weekend 🙋♀️👋👍
Both my wife Fran and I who only discovered you two weeks ago really love the content both provide we are watching Miami at the moment. The chance of us sailing is a sad no but how we love the way you and Beautiful Kirstie show us the joys of good food and places to see.
Great vlog yet again. Get that Transatlantic booked west bound, 25 hour days can’t beat it. Keep vlogging , your one of the best couples out there, and have great alternative camera angles etc. Keep it up! Look forward to your next adventures
Thank you for a lovely tour of QM 2 the dinner looked good in the Verandah I will be on QE in January out of Sydney we only have the pleasure of Cunard ships Australia for 3mths unless we fly to UK or NY so we make the most of the ships while there here.
Great video! A lovely couple in a lovely setting. If I could make a suggestion.....it would be fantastic to be able to see the menu and be able to pick out what we would select if we were lucky enough to be there.
Thanks, good to hear you enjoyed it. The menu thing is something we've done a number of times in the past, but don't always think about it. We'll bare it in mind for the future.
I booked my first Cunard trip on QV for 4 nights to Amsterdam for last October. Unfortunately mum was diagnosed with cancer so I rang Cunard to cancel. The amazing lady on the phone suggested that rather than cancel I postpone to this November so I wouldn’t loose my deposit. Unfortunately I lost mum in early August so as I had the time off work I booked the same trip for the October to lift my spirits. Like you I was pretty impressed with the Cunard experience (you should try breakfast in your cabin next time! Full English in your cabin, unheard of). My only niggle was one evening I was having a drink with some of my table companions and waited 25 mins from order to delivery. Not acceptable! Like you the Chart Room became my favourite bar! Thanks for an enjoyable video, best wishes to you noth
THANKS for your vlog - I will be doing a double crossing on QM2 - Oct 24 Southampton-NYC-Southampton and I cannot wait. I will also be on Queen Victoria in Jan 24 Southampton-Hamburg and back!! Fab vid!! xx
I guess I missed this video when you posted it but better late than never. Andy, you looked especially handsome. Your beard looks so well trimmed. You got me thinking of taking the same trip next year, as we will be ending our Norway cruise in Southampton. As always, I hope it won’t be too long before your next cruise. See you then.
Best EVER video, loved it. So natural with simple and enjoyable content. How do you guys keep so slim, what is your secret we would be huge and classed as cargo.
We are sailing on Queen Victoria next friday for 4 nights to Amsterdam, only been on Cunard once before on Queen Victoria's maiden voyage year in 2007 so interested to see if it has changed. We have just booked Queen Mary for a 4 night trip to Hamburg next year so your vlog gave us an idea what to expect.
I’d love to see more of the British Isles cruises now that Dublin Port has been extended to take Cruise Ships - living in Manchester myself, I usually take the Irish Ferries Ulysses ferry from Holyhead to Dublin when visiting family in Ireland, but I’d always loved to join a cruise ship at Liverpool and sail across the Irish Sea that way, even though it’s 8 hours as opposed to being 3 hours from Holyhead
A very enjoyable vlog. You both looked so elegant and pleased to see Andy in three different suits (hence the two suitcases at the end). The both of you and Cunard are a perfect match. Looking forward to seeing more Cunard trips. Superb filming of both food, music venues and your day excursion. Sometimes the occasional voice overs occur and thanks for including the bit losing your rag. It happens to us all. Cheers.
We’ve been on the ship 11 times now and we love her, so watching your 98% positive review was fun. We’re Americans and my husband is 75 and I have to say that I don’t think I have ever heard him use the word “lovely.” Must be a very British thing!
Really enjoyed that. Great to see a couple on one of the short trips not aiming to dress to minimum standards. The ship deserves respect. We did 14 nights to NY and back as a once in lifetime trip, and will be repeating that annually from 2025. The delay being that by time we made the decision release date for 2024 had passed and we like to book on release. Other than one afternoon tea we took all meals in Britannia Club, same menu as Britannia. We'll do same again, no need for other restaurants. Lastly, sorry but everyone knows Cunard don't do clotted cream! Don't think we'd bother with afternoon tea again unless it was a tea dance.
In Mexico they serve margaritas in a standard glass like they served you on that ship. At least in most restaurants they do. Some restaurants they serve it in a fancy glass. The difference is what type of tequila or mescal they add to the drink. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for sharing your weekend on the QM2. Those bread rolls - especially the cheese ones! - are amazing!!! You both looked so relaxed and chilled - the sign of a good cruise experience. x
I will say it again , Andy is my breakfast hero !. Have you guys ever fancied the Southampton to NY ocean cruise, I think it would be right up your street ?. Oh the joys of vlogging, so many things to go wrong
With the uptick of Covid-19 cases on airplanes and cruise ship, are you both concerned about contracting Covid-19? Thank you, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Stay safe.
Not at all. We obviously take sensible precautions like regular hand washing, but we don't want it to rule our lives and stop us travelling. Good to hear you enjoy the videos!
I had the pleasure of spending 15 nights on QM2, I would so love to sail on her again. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. P.S. you coped with the 'dead mic' situation very nicely.
Hi Kirstie & Andy, Wonderful weekend ,very nice. Looked the best food ive seen on a cruise for a while ,shame drinks are so expensive. Thanks for sharing 😊
I’ll share a tip with you😅 I too am a margarita lover and always try the ships version first then….have them alter it such as…..only a splash of lime which translates to what ever sour they are using …..much better😁
You did a great review, the benedictine visit we did many years ago. You may or not know, the benedictine liquer was used for medicinal purposes. Keep taking the treatment !!!!
This is the only way to travel comfortably across the Atlantic. Due to jet lag I can barely speak English getting off a transatlantic flight let alone French....and you get to meet so many interesting people on board from all over the UK, Canada, US and Europe. When I am forced to fly I am never happy until the plane is on the ground and I have my suitcase in my hand. When I cross on QM2, I never want it to end.
We were on the same cruise and stayed on the same deck as you in stateroom 4016 a window cabin. When I booked the price difference from the inside was really low.
Another great vlog andy these glitches happen, loved your suits very dapper and kirsties hair coloring suits her great work again when is the next cruise???.
Just discovered your fantastic videos, True to life and real, Thankyou . Both of you dress beautifully, Id love to know what brand or where Kirstie, bought her Navy blue evening top with yhe diamonte sparkles...its gorgeous. Thankyou ❤😊
Hey! The video was pretty informative and the ship was undoubtedly classic and magnificent. Just wanted to know if there was this Titanic kind of traditional vibe inside the ship?
A great insight into the dining experiences. Your reaction to the mic issues was rather amusing (sorry) and I can appreciate it's very annoying but if anything it added some normality and humour to the video (CZcams can be very bland when stuff is edited to perfection). I really like how you edit your vlogs by the way, a lot of thought goes into the music and shots, it really does make a big difference, they are very relaxing to watch (mic issue aside). Getting that balance between vlogging content and enjoying your holiday must be a fine line. Thanks for sharing your adventure. P S. I've a large heavy hammer that might "fix" that mic for good, highly therapeutic lol. Thanks again, Vik 👍
Thanks, good to hear you enjoyed the video. Yes, I try not to let the filming take over and it never spoils our cruise. We enjoy recording our experiences and I enjoy playing with gear!
First time viewer of your channel -- great vlog! Next spring I'll be taking my first transatlantic on QM2. I was worried I might be too overdressed if I wore a suit on non gala nights, but after seeing how great you two looked I'm going for it. Looks like I'm going to need a bigger suitcase!
Thanks Ken. No, we didn't try that one. Really keen to try some more back on Cunard. The cocktails were excellent (although I didn't think much of the Margarita).
Very good vlog. Great to see you on Cunard. I must say, their drinks are pricey but good. I just wish their Pina coladas were bigger. I went on QE earlier this year and we ate in the buffet most nights because of the food choices and quality. Very impressed.
Enjoyed this vlog. I'm quite certain, Andy, that you are younger than me, but you remind me very much of my Dad. He too enjoyed his morning coffee, and good steak, and his cocktails.
We’ve recently booked to go on our very first cruise - next September to the Eastern Med and Adriatic on the Queen Victoria. So looking forward to it. Your vlogs are great and so very well made. I know the loss of audio would have irritated you but as a viewer it didn’t spoil anything. Keep it up.
We went on QM2 for 1 week in June...our first cruise..It was nice but not outstanding. We thought all the oppulance went over our heads really... Norway was nice
Hi guys, That drink has a massive connection with Burnley. I don't know the whole story but it's sold at the football club. You can have a Benny and Hot.
Wow, interesting! I Googled it after reading your comment and it seems like the troops brought it back after the Great War. I'd never heard that story. Thanks!
This is a good video, thank you, gives a good overview, your filming was fine. I think I’ll need to take some ballroom dancing classes! Love your drinks choice and volume, great to see someone really enjoying plenty of refreshments 😁 The tables at breakfast look a wee bit close together and no clotted cream or tiered plates etc at afternoon tea it all seems a bit underwhelming and it may be the angle but the windows on the ship look like ordinary ferry windows? Bit disappointed on the look of the food too seen nicer looking food presentation on NCL. Not sure now, the QM2 might now be coming off my bucket list, pity the art deco is so beautiful and it is the liner!. Lol what did you lose when the audio went off?? 😳. Was the quirky a good quirky, not sure.
Yes, elements of the cruise were a little underwhelming, but they were very minor. We enjoyed it overall. It was my rag I lost! It wasn't a bad quirky. It just took time to get used to.
Genuinely wouldn't rate one better than another. They're just a little bit different than one another. If we were pushed, we'd both say Marella. Great ships, included drinks and gratuities and brilliant itineraries.
My late Aunt paid for us to accompany her to New York and back on that magnificent ocean liner. The entire journey was incredible and seamless from embarkation to disembarkation. Thanks so much Auntie Mary, miss you so much. ❤
What a wonderful journey, and what a marvelous memory.
That was one of the ships venues we missed. We'd love to do a longer voyage and see everything else for sure.
@@andyandkirstie Oh, dear! I think the Commodore Club is perhaps the finest of the bars on board. When you go back, do be sure to visit there.
She is a beautiful ship, classy and elegant in design, built for the transatlantic crossings, we've done both directions and New England on her....she is magnificent and so are her crew ❤️
This video bought back so many wonderful memories from when we did a TA from NYC to Southampton. Thanks.
If you think it was carnage in the buffet on Holland America, I certainly wouldn't recommend a Carnival Cruise out of any port in Florida, USA. Absolute madness and mayhem.
Sounds like a nightmare!
Awesome! Thank you!
First time I’ve watched your vlog, and it’s very informative and enjoyable. We love Cunard and have done the Transatlantic cruise from West to East on QM2, and it is just wonderful, the days just fly past. 😀🏴
Glad you enjoyed it! A transatlantic is definitely on our radar!
I could listen to you two talk all day. You're both so zen. I love your accents. Your video is so well done. I look forward to more.
Thanks 😊
We were on the transatlantic both ways, immediately after your trip shown. A well presented review of a lovely ship. Well done. 👍
Many thanks!
Glad you had a great time! I boarded in Southampton when you disembarked to sail to NY and back. 2 weeks at sea, was absolutely lovely. Very relaxing and enjoyed every moment. Food was delicious!.
Sounds amazing!

We had a great time, thanks!
Everything looks wonderful. My wish list. Lucky Ducks!!
Fantastic video, never been on a cruise but you have got me and the wife interested, thanks again hope you enjoyed your short cruise
Glad you enjoyed it! You should absolutely give it a go. We had a great weekend.
Thank you for a lovely tour of Q
Wow you were lucky with the weather. Great vlog thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching. Weather was amazing!
Sounds like a plan for the future! We'd definitely be looking at more Cunard trips for sure.
I was surprised about the cream being served has been changed. I cruised on all the Cunard ships over the decades multi[le times including a world cruise on the old QE ll before it retired. All the time they served scone with the real clotted cream! Enjoyed watching your video. Thank you both.
I think maybe they had run out, as we've since heard that cruise passengers on QM2 after our cruise had clotted cream served.
Another great vlog really enjoyed it keep them coming xx
Thank you! Will do!
looks amazing , thinking of booking this cruise ship in july next year , thank you
I think you've changed are minds about the QM2 i think we would love to do a cruise her it looked amazing you both looked very smart glad you enjoyed it hope you both have a lovely weekend 🙋♀️👋👍
You should! We had a great time on QM2.
What a lovely little break and the food looked amazing
Really enjoyed your video. Very honest and informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
nice job guys, enjoy looking forward to the next cruise
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
U two looked so handsome!! Kirstie, loved your dresses and love ur hair!!! I think I need to do this cruise!
You should!
Lovely couple ! Enjoyed your adventure along with you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Dinner was excellent 👌 Have a great time in January!
The pair of you scrub up really well. Another fantastic video. x
Thank you! 😊
Great video! A lovely couple in a lovely setting. If I could make a suggestion.....it would be fantastic to be able to see the menu and be able to pick out what we would select if we were lucky enough to be there.

Hi thank you for a great vlog, today we booked the Queen Mary 2 for a three night trip, you decided for us!
Awesome! Have a great time!
Thanks for an enjoyable video, best wishes to you noth
Sorry to hear of your loss. If we have a nice balcony, then perhaps we'll go for a cabin breakfast like you suggest!
THANKS for your vlog - I will be doing a double crossing on QM2 - Oct 24 Southampton-NYC-Southampton and I cannot wait. I will also be on Queen Victoria in Jan 24 Southampton-Hamburg and back!! Fab vid!! xx
Double crossing sounds amazing, would love to do that!
Very interesting, you packed a fair bit into your weekend. Love the new hair Kirstie, sorry about the clotted cream Andy 😢
Thank you 😊
It was lovely to meet you onboard. Hope your journey home wasn’t too long.
Great to meet you! We did get stuck in a bit of traffic on the way back, but not too bad.
Thank you kindly! It's definitely a trip we'd recommend 👌
New to your channel guys ..looking forward to the other videos ...p.s love the bomber beard lol
Welcome!
Looks wonderful I think Cunard food is the best ❤
So good!
Best EVER video, loved it. So natural with simple and enjoyable content. How do you guys keep so slim, what is your secret we would be huge and classed as cargo.
We don't eat too much at home (or at least try not to)!
Yet another great video, thanks so much to both of you! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your vlogs. 👍👍
Glad you like them!
Love Cunard, classy, relaxing and a real treat.Andy looking very dapper, Kirsty dressed to impress too
Thanks!
We love your adventures and look forward to more. We were on the Koningsdam just after your Alaska videos. Spot on.
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome, great couple of cruises you've got coming up!
Love your videos Andy & Kirstie
Glad you like them!
Fabulous! Looking forward to trying QM2 ourselves next year so it was lovely to watch your experience. You will love the smaller ships too.
Had a great time! Would love to try the others in the fleet.
Great video thankyou
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your vlogs!!!!!!!
Thanks!
looks fab never done Cunard I’ve booked Iona for end of march next year 😻
Have a great time!
Cheers.
Thanks so much! 😊 One of the suitcases is Kirsties! 😄
Great to have a blog from you both again but I don't think Cunard would be for us x
Yeah, we agree it's not for everyone.
We’ve been on the ship 11 times now and we love her, so watching your 98% positive review was fun. We’re Americans and my husband is 75 and I have to say that I don’t think I have ever heard him use the word “lovely.” Must be a very British thing!
Yeah, maybe 'awesome' is more American 😂 Good to hear you enjoyed the video!
Lovely.
Sounds amazing! A transatlantic is definitely on the bucket list. Not sure we'd do the afternoon tea again. It was OK as a one-off.
In Mexico they serve margaritas in a standard glass like they served you on that ship. At least in most restaurants they do. Some restaurants they serve it in a fancy glass. The difference is what type of tequila or mescal they add to the drink. Thank you for the video!
looking forward to watching vlog 🥰
Hope you enjoyed it!
Beautiful music at the beginning.
Glad you liked it 👍
Thanks for sharing your weekend on the QM2. Those bread rolls - especially the cheese ones! - are amazing!!! You both looked so relaxed and chilled - the sign of a good cruise experience. x
Thanks! Agree about the bread!
I will say it again , Andy is my breakfast hero !. Have you guys ever fancied the Southampton to NY ocean cruise, I think it would be right up your street ?. Oh the joys of vlogging, so many things to go wrong
Yep, Transatlantic defo on my list. Kirstie is not so sure about the multiple days at sea.
Great vlog....love your editing.
on board entertainment looked a bit scarce ? think I would get bored after a few days
We didn't check out all the available entertainment.
I had the pleasure of spending 15 nights on QM2, I would so love to sail on her again. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. P.S. you coped with the 'dead mic' situation very nicely.
Thanks! 😁
Hi Kirstie & Andy,
Wonderful weekend ,very nice.
Great tip, thanks!

Cool! Balcony for us next time.
Andy if you love pork pies try making some at home. I can promise you will never buy another from a shop. Loved your video too
Good plan, I'll look into it! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I've just got off Queen Elizabeth, and it's so interesting to see how similar (yet also so different) these ships are. Really enjoyed this one!
Thanks Fraser! We'd love to see what the Cunard experience is like on the more 'standard' ships.
Great video…the food is really way out…pity about the clotted cream !!
Food was actually 99% fantastic, which I think is pretty decent.
WOW guys! Loved this vlog so much❤
Thanks so much!!
Another great vlog andy these glitches happen, loved your suits very dapper and kirsties hair coloring suits her great work again when is the next cruise???.
Thanks so much. Next one early November.
Just discovered your fantastic videos, True to life and real, Thankyou .
Both of you dress beautifully, Id love to know what brand or where Kirstie, bought her Navy blue evening top with yhe diamonte sparkles...its gorgeous.
Thankyou ❤😊
Thanks! The dress was an eBay bargain, Live 2 Love is the brand. It was bought for a 1920's party a little while ago.
Lovely blue dress Kirstie.
Hey! The video was pretty informative and the ship was undoubtedly classic and magnificent. Just wanted to know if there was this Titanic kind of traditional vibe inside the ship?
Maybe in the decor, but other than that, not really. Everyone was just dressed a bit smarter, that's all.
A great insight into the dining experiences. Your reaction to the mic issues was rather amusing (sorry) and I can appreciate it's very annoying but if anything it added some normality and humour to the video (CZcams can be very bland when stuff is edited to perfection). Thanks, good to hear you enjoyed the video. Yes, I try not to let the filming take over and it never spoils our cruise. We enjoy recording our experiences and I enjoy playing with gear!
👍.....👍
Lep pozdrav iz Slovenije
You guys sure know how to cruise,
Thanks!
Yeah, I thought the same, but blended in fine wearing a suit and tie. Glad you enjoyed the video!
You never have to be worried about being overdressed on Cunard. Its part of the experience
Another great video brings back memories from our trips on her. Did you try a black Bellini while on board? Lindsey fell in love with them.
Thanks Ken. No, we didn't try that one. Really keen to try some more back on Cunard. The cocktails were excellent (although I didn't think much of the Margarita).
Looked lovely
It was great 👍
Another great vlog guys, Andy don't beat yourself up about losing audio! your videos are amazing! Cheers Dave.
Thanks!
Very good vlog. Great to see you on Cunard. I must say, their drinks are pricey but good. I just wish their Pina coladas were bigger.
I went on QE earlier this year and we ate in the buffet most nights because of the food choices and quality. Very impressed.
Yes, I was impressed by the cocktail quality and choice. Definitely want to try more of the buffet next time.
Enjoyed this vlog. I'm quite certain, Andy, that you are younger than me, but you remind me very much of my Dad. He too enjoyed his morning coffee, and good steak, and his cocktails.
Love that!
Cunard....superb....
I'm sure there's a ship/cruise line that would suit you better if it wasn't your thing.
What did the waiter put on your table when you asked for mango ones, the camera did not move?
Chocolate truffles.
Hi guys,
That drink has a massive connection with Burnley. I don't know the whole story but it's sold at the football club. You can have a Benny and Hot.
Wow, interesting! I Googled it after reading your comment and it seems like the troops brought it back after the Great War. I'd never heard that story. Thanks!
We've always had clotted cream on Cunard. Maybe they ran out!
Maybe!
The ship is beyond belief and we know that it is not for everyone. 👍👍👍. 9-15-2023
I meant the dress you wore on formal night, thank you for replying.
That one was labelled live 2 love, but I'm not certain they exist anymore. Mine was new with a label from ebay 4 years ago £7.50!
Nice episode but it looks a bit boring for me but glad you both enjoyed it
It's not Oasis of The Seas that's for sure, but we definitely enjoy both styles of cruising.
How wonderful to tour the Benedictine distillery, it looks so beautiful and it is a magnificant liquor.
It really is!
@@andyandkirstie thanks folks for taking the time, take care of yourselves and enjoy your next voyage x
só comeram kkkkk excelente video e sim o queen mary 2 tem um casco maior em relação os outros navios
We do love our food! 😄
Really enjoyed the vlog, where are you going next ?
Thanks! Our next trip kicks off in Athens.
So is it Cunard, Marella, Holland America or Fred Olsen? How would you rate them in order of preference. Thank you
Genuinely wouldn't rate one better than another. They're just a little bit different than one another. If we were pushed, we'd both say Marella. Great ships, included drinks and gratuities and brilliant itineraries.
Hi I have just joined you and would it be possible for you to give a rough idea of the cost. You certainly looked like you are foodies lol🤗
Hi Susannah, the 3 nights in an inside cabin cost £373 each.
@@andyandkirstie thankyou
