Can't beleive its already the last episode!!! Went by so fast! I had an idea for vogue one, I was watching this while getting ready this morning and I was wondering if you guys knew any casual Star wars hairstyles! I know Janay is good at that kind of stuff! That is all, amazing podcast!!! XD

Such an awesome episode guys! Loved this movie, and loved hearing your perspectives. In general, have really enjoyed both your perspectives throughout all the films. I literally would not be able to fit all my thoughts about The Rise of Skywalker in these comments so I’ll just save it for if I ever run into y’all at Galaxy’s Edge or something like that. All I will say is that it is without a doubt my favorite Star Wars movie and this discussion was so good!
You should finish the book jenmarie, no spoilers but it is so deep and is so moving when it explains that part when Leia reached out to her son. The book answers a lot of your questions. Hint, Yoda said qui-gon had "learned the way to immortality" in ep.3. Love this movie! And yes we would love a commentary sometime. As for the future of Rey, I like to believe the Lego special is canonical and she is teaching Finn all she knows while searching for the history of the jedi. (Also, I love that it opens the possibility of a multiverse and time travel) Then she maybe leaves the teaching to Finn for a bit, she goes out in search of force users while also exploring the galaxy and brings them to master Finn for training. Poe and zorri leading the new new republic with rose as the latest general. Rose is now a finding her new calling as a leader fighting for the freedom of salves, because unfortunately in a big galaxy it still happens. After learning Lando is her father, Jannah also force sensitive, trains with Finn and helps him and Rey teach the younger generation. After quite a few years of peace Rey learns of a small remnant of sith who acknowledge both sides the light and the dark are needed for true balance and teach Rey, along with all the past masters in the force, how to find the balance without diving too deep in either direction. The sith, jedi, and new new republic form an alliance of peace...and just all is well in the galaxy....now I'm rambling. Now, I want to hear someone else's story. Hehe.
Oh my gosh! Thanks for the heads up on the book! That's insanely cool. And thanks for sharing your ideas with us. You have a lot of cool concepts in mind! I would love if Lando is Jannah's father. It would be so cool to see them go on an adventure together. -Jenmarie
For the weird bowling man's belly button thing, I think it has to do with the term "spare tire" as a slang for "beer belly" haha It made sense to me after you said "spare"!

honestly i dont know! i really like the idea of them building a new republic after taking down palatine for real real this time, and i think it would be interesting if after rey sort of has a self exploration journey that she would maybe train finn to be a jedi or at least how to use the force, since that was kind of the big screw i felt he was hinting at when they were falling through the quicksand? i'd also love to see jannah discover her past since i almost thought they hinted at lando being her dad?? or maybe that was just me lol and i'd love to see the just bumps in the road of finn and poe running the resistance together as co-generals and how the entire resistance but especially poe, finn, and rey all deal with leia's death since they never really got to fully have a moment to process it i felt? this was so long lol i apologize but i feel like that's where i would love to see their stories all go!!!
Wonderful ep! I don’t know how lucasfilm will approach the skywalker saga again (we all know they will, it makes them all the monies). But I think it would be cool to see a future Jedi and Sith conflict. We’re post Sideous Sith, so maybe the next dark sider says eff the rule of two let’s make an army. That would be cool. And my husband and I also respond with the whacky “OKAY!” and it makes those moments so fun :)
Actually surprised you didn't share thoughts on the kiss... 🤣 Oh Lord... I really liked the Han & Ben scene and the art direction for the movie, I'll just leave it at that. I think it's wise for Disney to invest in different time periods w/in that universe but if they ever revisit post TROS, think Rey & Finn should be adults in their 40s, they start a new Jedi Order (maybe more focus on the newer Jedi) but something big (maybe a new group of space terrorists to reflect more real world threats) threatens the Order/characters into breaking further away from the Jedi principles. Similar to what the Order faced in the prequels but the old way didn't work so it'd be great to see the characters argue and figure out how can they follow this righteous path without becoming a contradiction or falling to the dark side. How one can honor tradition yet fit in a rapidly changing modern world is a theme Star Wars should tap more into.
Wowww. We didn't discuss the kiss? Who are we? lol! I think the idea of jumping far ahead into their journeys is really cool. I'd be up for either honestly! -Jenmarie
TROS was my first Star Wars movie in theaters and I loved every minute of it (well besides thinking Chewie died at one point)! I also cry the most in this movie. Does anyone else cry happy tears when all the ships show up on Exegol and then the trio hug at the end? In theaters and now I almost sob because I'm so happy they finally ended the war and defeated Palpatine. Also...BEN FORCE GHOST...can we just go in George Lucas style and add that in to the movie please lol?!
That scene with the ships showing up to help is INCREDIBLE!!! I've definitely teared up, other times I've experienced goosebumps or just found myself smiling. Also, thank you John Williams for that gorgeous score, right? What a genius. -Jenmarie

I dont think there was tension between Kilo and Rey. I think it was a flock as it was explained by Snape. Kilo clearly only saw her as a tool. Rey... her perspective on Kilo isnt really clear. To this day I still don't know.
Most of these comments are favorable to a trilogy that had no plan from the beginning. Opinions are opinions, but they wouldn't hold up since these films split the fanbase more.
I actually watched it live in 1978, and the 6 year old in me at the time thought it sucked. Lol. I’ve honestly never watched it again nor even had the curiosity to watch it again. It was that bad!
