  • The teeth of Eurasian beavers have a remarkable feature: a rust-colored coating of iron on the front of their incisors. These harden the teeth, allowing them to gnaw through hardwood with ease.

Beavers are absolutely vital to ecological balance for life forms. They are the best water management critters on the planet. Complete opposites of despicable humans.

You do understand your talking about the human species like we are all dispickable. And I'm sorry to inform you speak for yourself when stating facts not people you don't know due to it being only partly true it's just sounds childish and immature.

Good grief. Demonizing all humans is disingenuous, absurd, shrill and - no, wait.

These creatures look terribly human in how they walk and in how they work, especially also in the usage of their hands. It's downright eerie how their intelligence comes out. I have had one living just a few dozens of meters away who has often tried to frighten me in the night by suddenly producing a huge splashing sound in the middle of a pond.

They usually do tail slapping to warn other beavers about something. Not sure they're trying to scare folks or even call attention to themselves. 😊
On the other hand, nocturnal lumberjacking isn't exactly a subtle trade.
I'd be interested in seeing their habitat.

Beavers help the land retain water and provide habitats for many other animals. When they were hunted almost to extinction the land suffered. Similar to wolves in Colorado. Our deer are dying from a wasting disease because the wolves were eradicated by the ranchers. Now we are reintroducing wolves to combat this disease. The wolves leftovers support other animals too. Balance is key.

Hey Smithsonian why not show us all the information from the underground city found In the early 1900s in the grand canyon. There's said to be Egyptian hieroglyphs and giant fossils and you guys are acting really shady about it
