Nah bro, usually that’s the case, but this game was all Alexander-Walker. Dude stepped up with McDaniels in foul trouble.
Devin Booker averaged 27 PPG last year and is one of the best scorers in the NBA and arguably a better player than Murray. Imagine knowing so little about basketball that you actually unintentionally complement Murray when you’re trying to insult him.
Furthermore, Murray hasn’t been efficient this entire postseason, not just against Minnesota. Has less to do with McDaniels and more to do with the fact Murray is limping around on a bad calf, hence why he’s been questionable for 3 straight games. He wasn’t much better against LA despite the game winners. McDaniels is nothing special.
Humble guy, giving credit to opponents performance and praising. With no excuses but acceptance.

-Nikola, I sometimes find myself taking your & the Nuggets' victory for granted, and we all often forget that this is sport & anything can happen. What was your experience like in this game?
-Well, it was a difficult game. They weren't doing anything they weren't already doing all season long, so I can't say they surprised us because they've been at it all along. We couldn't find easy shots while they did & scored them. We shot 34% FG which is really low, but there's that team of theirs, they're all long and anyone can take over for another. All in all, a really hard game, so I hope we will go back to Minnesota and return the series to Denver

Before this game I said that to have a real chance to win the the series against the Timberwolves Nuggets needs 4 of their starting 5 to play every game on a great level. Tonight there were only 2 on a descent level: Gordon and Jokic, Murray had a straight bad game, and Porter was awful. The fifth guy was almost unnoticeable.

Nuggets are a big market team with a reigning MVP and defending champs. Of course Murray wasn't suspended. They're down 0-2 and the league wants to at least extend the series, if not give the bigger market team a chance to come back.

They didn't "demolish" the Lakers. The Lakers had the lead the majority of the time, but couldn't finish---hardly a demolition. If you look deeper into the numbers, Jokic didn't have all that great of a series and Murray shot under 40%. Go listen to what Branden Haywood said on NBA TV afterwards---he totally nailed it.
They have been physical and long impacting shots, positioning, passing and making them work for everything. All of this has pushed the nuggets out of rhythm and changed that pace that they like. The one glaring hole that Timberwolves have is probably shooting and if Nuggets can figure out how to play in their pace I can see them coming back and mini struggling, probably starts with a more physical Jokic, and starting the offense a lot sooner, probably pushing the rotation to keep guys fresher, and getting MPJ going.

I love physicality, but refs need to be consistent game to game, and they need to be fair with that - I get that Edwards got the tech last game, and Malone didn't this game, but anyone who breathed too hard on Edwards got fouled, compared to the game of Mortal Kombat happening at the other end.

The DENVER NUGGETS have been stunned these 2 games. First off, no NBA team has seen this level of defense. Yes the Timberwolves during the season played defense alright but they have turned it up a notch. NUGGETS play slow ball and inside post, If I am their coach, we will need to move the ball more, that's the only way you get to beat 1 on 1 defenses, move the ball more and move yourself's. Unfortunately they have health issues, and that's not really their style, so adjusting during playoffs will be tough. They need to put Jokic in high screen and rolls and he should just pick and pop and shoot the ball more. Because the moment he Jokic, gets the ball and bounces, the defense swarms you, Timberwolves defense is meditated on you bouncing the ball, and because of their length passing becomes and issue and poor clock management happens. So move the ball more, and pick and pop and shoot and let Aaron Gordon go for rebounds.
