  • This video shows you how to make one of Japan's best vegetable dishes - "Goma Ae" - which is a spinach dish flavoured with sesame, soy sauce and mirin.
Why is it so good? Well, first it is delicious - if you have trouble getting your kids to eat spinach - this is the recipe for you! Second, Goma Ae is very easy to make and takes only 15 minutes. Third, it is very good for you containing lots of iron and fibre! You could serve this dish as a light lunch or supper just with some rice or combine it with other dishes for a more substantial meal. Either way, I'm sure you will love the taste of Goma Ae! Also suitable for vegans.
🍴2 servings as a side dish or starter.

    My Bio.
Hi, I'm Kurumi and this is my CZcams cooking space where you can find out about how to cook delicious Japanese, Asian and Fusion foods in your home. I'm Japanese but I have lived in London for the last 30 thirty years.
Back in the days before the internet (and CZcams), I was a food writer. My first book published in English was called Japanese Cooking for Two which I wrote in 1994. It has become the 9th best selling Japanese cookbook ever… yippee!
My other books were ‘The Noodle Cookbook”, “The Soy for Health Cookbook” and “Healthy Noodles.” I also published a book in Japanese “English Home Cooking”. Then I had children and my life changed!
By the time my children had grown up, the world had changed quite a lot too! Internet, CZcams etc etc. So, these days, instead of books, I publish recipe and articles on my website and on this channel. I hope you enjoy watching my tutorials - they are all tried and tested (some more times than I care to mention!) until I think you will get them right first time when you make them and enjoy eating them.
I hope you'll find it easy to follow my recipe tutorials. There's alway a link to the written recipe on my website, if you want that as well.
