    Beats are targeted towards the same people who buy Jordans, they do it to fit in. If you are not wearing Beats and Jordans their peers consider them uncool and poor.

      I can agree on that 120%.... Why? Because I go through it everyday. And its hell. I hate it. And i hate bullies, and people who run their mouths because you don't have the right shoes, or the right face, or right body maybe...so i feel you people who get bullied. Because i do too. Now, i won't lie, i do have beats, but not for fashion, to impress anyone, to make anyone jealous. I PERSONALLY i have beats because they are good sounding quality, with AMAZING BASS, and because i want to be an artist, and a music producer, Thats the reason i have beats.

The technicas have way too much treble and focus on vocals way too much. Audio technicas may be better than the older beats but until u have compared it the the bests studios 2.0 u shouldn't be talking u haters.

      +Abigail Laycock well I don't hate beats, they have a lot of good points but the fact that they charge you that much money is not worth it in my opinion. Look at the radio frequency between those beats and ath m50x. It is very different and does not sound that great (I listen to most genres and an audiophile. I think beats are for people who enjoy a more specific genre of music and is not for audio heads). It also depends on the consumers preference and their perceived value. Beats delivered, Audio technical delivered, everyone wins as long as you could buy your preferred brand of headphones. Cheers.

You can find a comparison video between sennheiser urbanites, beats studios and v -moda m100 nd the beats soubnd like the mids and highs are being sucked by a vacume while the urbanites atleast sound accurate to the source.

    You said that anyone who hates Beats probably hasn't tried them, but I think anyone who likes Beats probably hasn't tried anything other than what came with their phone. The main purpose of a speaker is to produce quality sound, everything else is secondary. The Beats sound too muddled, with highs nearly absent and over powering shallow base. A good headphone will have a wide sound stage with crisp deep base, with clean focused mids, and highs that almost sound as if they are coming from a different corner of the room.

      Ralph Lauren is a "fashion" clothing brand where you are paying for brand recognition. If their clothes are made in the same factory as clothing bound for walmart's then they are overpriced.
      Lol at nike.They cost around $10-$20 TO MAKE depending on many factors but thats far far far less than the $200-$300 tag for a pair of new jordans. +Peace.US nah, theres a reason why young working professionals buy luxury goods like gucci LV prada. A lot of people will pay a markup for perceived value of something. Something expensive makes people feel better even if its not the best. Its like why do people buy high end cars when some cheaper cars get the job done just as well? Demand curve for luxury goods is not that elastic. A huge increase in price would not result in a huge decrease in consumers.

    I am in no way a beats "hater". Buy beats headphones all you want. I couldnt care less if you imho want to waste your probably hard earned money. In the end it is your life.
    But I think you are wrong on many levels. This just comes across as one big apoligize for the people who blindly trust the mainstream to follow it without questioning a thing.
    But lets get to my criticism:
    You said it yourself. For what they deliver they are overpriced. In the end they ARE headphones so whether or not you may think they look good the sound quality that EVEN the average consumer can notice does not deliver. And that has nothing to do with me being "an audiophile" (seriously that term is terrible and people should stop calling themselves that...). The Heaphones sell because of the snob effect their price creates. The big price creates an illusion of good quality asa guaranteed result. It is like it is with many other things. Problem is though that people forget how the price for the beats is put together. A large portion of the price is because of marketing for the headphones. Actually it is the biggest part of the price combined with package and retail costs. The smallest part goes to the hardware and i cant blame the company for doing so as they need to profit and spending too much on the hardware when everything else is highly expensive would just lower their profit. But dont tell me they sound good. Do blind tests with other headphones over a longer period of time and you will see that it is highly unlikely for you to think they sound the best. It is true though. They have an emphasis on bass but so do other headphones and even ones who are WAAAAY cheaper. The JVC Ha-s500 costs about 50 bucks and it is doing what the most beats are doing but NOTICABLY better overall. So saying that 20dollar headphones sound better is not a huge exaggeration and you saying that you cant expect good audio quality ourt of cheap gear is just another example how even you are influenced by the snob effect. And they arent even ugly headphones which is astonishing. The reason why people dont pick these up because they are too lazy to inform themselves before purchasing these headphones so they just go with what everybody else goes with. Cant go wrong with that, eh? ;) But of course another part of it is the companies not "marketing their headphones to the average consumer". This in my opinion is absolute bullshit. It takes 2 clicks on the internet to get informed about good headphones. The information is there. And it is in no way hidden. just because some companies try to keep prices for marketing lower by not producing overly expensive commercials doesnt mean they hide themselves in bushes and caves and pass on the information about their secret standpoint through secret tribes and organisations of audiophiles. NOPE. They provide the info. If the so called average consumer doesnt have 5 minutes of time to go on the internet but gets influenced then that is clearly a sad sign of you as a average consumer being so called brainwashed bacause if we are being serious it is nothing more. Blindly believing TV commercials without asking to me quite obvious question then you are sheep. And be so if you want to. I think it is sad but that may just be only my opionion. But dont come out and say you are not.
    Oh and that example about the watches... pretty bad one. watches all do the same with the same quality and that is telling you the time. If they dont do it and they just stop at random times or get out of synch after a period of time you would say that that "watch" is not a watch because it doesnt do what is meant to do. The point that sells them IS in fact the design. And of course it is. When something offers you the EXACT SAME functionality the design will be the next selling point. The difference between watches and headphones is though that 1st of all they dont all do the SAME and 2nd of all the design in no way indicates better quality. With a 400$ watch you can pretty much be sure you are getting better materials being used as when you buy a 20$ swatch. Look at beats by dre headphones. They dont offer NEARLY enough quality to legitimate the price because see above. And they are even not even close to being as functional as other headphones for even less. That should just show you that their market point is mainstream peer pressure and human lazyness leading to being easily manipulated. THAT is what sells beats
    Will make a few trips to other videos of yours but unfortunatly for now i cannot agree with you on the most things you say and will give this a thumbs down and not subscribe. I know you people dont care but this is me criticizing this video so it is only fair to tell my end result.

    I don't care about people who buy Beats, they can buy what they want, but when they say it's good, I scream. Let me explain.
    I've listened to Beats before. And guess, what? Here's what I heard: Tinny, bass-less, terrible range of highs and lows. I've heard $20 headphones and Beats are right there. Now you may say, "Bet you listened to older ones." Hate to break it to you, but one, you proved my point that Beats are or were at one point shit. And two, I listened to the newest model last year, and man, that was disgusting sounding. V-Modas are still the best I've heard and that was 2013. This is why so many people say Beats are the worst, even me, and I'm not an Audiophile. From what I see, you seem like someone who listens to the "pros" and say Beats are the best. Buy some Bose, or Audio-Technica, or V-Modas, and I'm sure your opinion will change.
    P.S. you don't see advertisements from Audio-Technica or V-Modas because they don't use as much money for advertising as Beats, meaning Beats basically takes the whole system for advertising. And these headphones carry better sound quality for way less. If anything, Beats is targeted not at the modern day consumer, but people who believes Beats are needed to fit it. Audio-Technica is severely cheaper which is great for teens like me with a lower budget.
    There are JVC Xtreme Xplosives which are $20 and still carries a sound quality, imo, better than the Beats I listened to.
    This is of course my thoughts and opinions. Think what you want, but there were impressions, and they were bad to me. They sounded terrible

    You don't have to be an audiophile to know that Beats are horrible. It's not just that the quality is bad or that it's overpriced. There are a large group of people that use these headphones because they think it's cool and they think that music is supposed to sound that way. When you use garbage, you get used to that garbage and think that everything is supposed to sound like garbage. Educate yourself before you turn your ears into poop.

    • @WoahSalmo
      @WoahSalmo Před 10 lety

      How can you call a sound garbage? A lot of criticism is focused on frequency reproduction of the headphones, which is shifted lower - more BASS. If people LIKE that sound, then its GOLDEN.
      Its like back in the day when Elvis was garbage, and now that he's a classic its that generations turn to call Metal garbage, and now classic metalheads call Dubstep garbage. I guess as human beings we'll forever listen to garbage.

    • @CO-kd6sd
      @CO-kd6sd Před 10 lety

      If turds were the only food you have ever had, that's what you get used to tasting. It doesn't make it good. When somebody then feeds you regular healthy food, you're less likely to enjoy it. The problem is that since most people listen to streaming services and low-bitrate MP3's, there is less room to accurately reproduce audio. Boosting the lows not only damages your hearing but it also misrepresents whatever it is you're listening to. If everybody starts to think that Beats are "GOLDEN" then those streaming services will start to think that decreasing their quality to cut costs won't matter because people are essentially using a low-pass filter on their heads. I've talked about this before. There was a Mastering Engineer who did a survey of regular people who listened to a variety of music genres. He found that those who listened to hip-hop identified the lowest quality samples as sounding the best. An audiologist determined that all that time around subwoofers had permanently damaged their hearing and their ability to recognize certain frequencies. The other group that had similar issues (though not as severe) mainly listened to pop music. THAT is why it's garbage. It is literally hurting you and making you dumber at the same time. Btw, who thought Elvis and metal were garbage?

    • @WoahSalmo
      @WoahSalmo Před 10 lety

      Hearing loss is a valid point but is attributed to improper use. Sennheisers playing a bass heavy song at equivalent volume are just as mom-dissaprovingly bad to little pre teen ears as Beats are. Granted Beats love to highlight their bass, but If I had to explain why a front row metalhead cant hear birds chirp, I would say "he listens to his music too loud" rather than "he uses Beats by Dre"
      The argument of hip hop is moot. You're using the brands target market (hip hop) to prove why the device is garbage. And you're biased by your derogatory view of the genre.
      Moments ago I listened to Beethoven with my Beats wireless. There was no genre-alert klaxon or hearing loss, but my unsophisticated, distateful ass proudly declares I'd rather have been listening to LFiasco or something.
      I say lets burn the world today. Lets fill corporate pockets and lower stream quality. Lets pump the bass on Beethoven. Misrepresent the music. And while networks ban Elvis' air humping and parents protest Twisted Sister lyrics...while hip hop is called simplistic, uninventive and shallow, I'm going to buy a painting...by Mark Rothko.
      This painting is a square. Literally...a square. Its name is, No 1. It would probably take me 10 seconds to reproduce it. .05 seconds to come up with the name. What does it mean? No one has a clue.
      Its value is $75,000,000. Because people, in some way, shape or form...LIKE it. Eat turds.

    • @CO-kd6sd
      @CO-kd6sd Před 10 lety +1

      WoahSalmo First off, Sennheisers aren't as bass heavy as Beats. Second, since Beats already boost lows, there's a greater chance of hearing damage at lower volume because the amplitude is not necessarily the same but is usually higher. You're actually proving my point with the metalhead statement. If you're uninformed about how your hearing can be damaged then you're more likely to suffer the consequences.
      My argument isn't against hip hop, especially considering that I've been listening to it all my life. I pointed to an example of a genre that has a large portion of listeners that are uninformed about the outcome of bad choices concerning gear. The same can be said about metal, pop, etc. which I already mentioned. If Metallica or Slayer came out with headphones that accentuated mids and highs, it would be the exact same thing. Relax, nobody is attacking you because you listen to hip hop or Beethoven.
      It sounds like you have some personal issues you need to work out. Either that or you never got to visit Graceland.

      Some I agree some I don't. most people really can't tell the difference unless you have two different product and keep on comparing them. I am in music production field and only way to know clearly is by getting music training. Most of the products are really similar in sound wise but they have there own special place that they are good at. For beats they have good bass and bose is equal in everything in sound. So, if I have to buy one of them i will pick bose cuz I need something that is equal not over powered bass. So in headphone quality wise I agree beats focused too much in bass so the sound hinders and only appealing part to me is design. Beats need to throw the bass out and improve based on how other headphones play.

I am not a beats fanboy and I do not own a pair of beats, but the people I know who do own a pair bought them purely off of aesthetics, not sound quality. Think when the last time you saw somebody walking around in public wearing beats vs the last person you saw wearing Senheisers or a pair of Audio Technicas. Beats are not meant for great sound quality, they are more of an expensive fashion accessory and most people who buy beats buy for looks and don't really care about sound quality, because if they did they would buy another pair of headphones. I don't hate people who buy Beats, nor do I COMPLETELY hate beats, what I hate is when I spend $300 on VMODA M100's and another $100 on a DAC'AMP and people I know ask me why I didn't get BEATS. I had one guy straight up come up to me at work, (back when I worked at walmart) and say, "Those aren't better than the beats they got out there, you can't even listen with bluetooth." So, with that being said and with those experiences in mind, the resonating vindictive vibe you're rendering from the online Beats haters is actually something I experience on the other end of the spectrum, so with that being said in my mind and in my opinion Beats IS kind of brainwashing people into believing Beats are the best sounding headphone. Because they have no idea what even the M100's are, one other dude had told me there was no way my VMODA's were more than $30.. seriously dude? You say it's become the in-thing to dislike Beats. What it actually is, is when you go online and do proper RESEARCH, something the average consumer, (not the maker of this video but literal average consumers), LACK, so when you do research and meet up with other intelligent audibly insightful individuals THEY hate beats because they know they're not the best out there especially for their price. However, on the STREETS, it's actually the IN thing to love them, and diss any other headphone that aren't Beats, which is a natural flow of mainstream society because of the marketing Beats puts out and the average consumers aren't as independent enough to do their own research. Sigh.. this is why I hated working at Walmart, I can literally tell people how they think before THEY could, bottom line don't work at walmart. You have to be kind of stupid to not be depressed, lol.

    I've heard them, and compared to other real headphones such as the Audio-Technica AD700, AKG K240 and even the $40 Superlux HD681 EVO, they're a muddy, bloated boomy mess. The lack of separation and skull-vibrating bass makes for one of the most messy and unpalatable sound signatures in existence.
    Also $20 headphones sounding better than Beats is not an extreme exaggeration as I outlined, the Superlux HD681 EVO cost $40, and without any doubts sound better than Beats. The HD681 non-EVO's can be had for as low as $30 and probably sound better too. But at the end of the day, the kind of people buying beats don't want clear accurate sound, tight punchy bass, detailed highs with good separation, any of that. They just want their music to thump as you said. So I'm fine with Beats, as long as they don't start a trend for other companies to follow suit with their boomy mud cannon sound.
    As for Sennheiser, they've really broken into the mainstream market lately, and with it their headphones have started getting muddier and warmer, and their build quality has dropped too. Kind of sad.

      That about sums it up!
      Anyone who likes beats obviously has never heard good head phones or, any good audio for that matter.
      Over powering bass with distortion is not good audio .
      BTW, I do not hate bass as I'm actually a bass player but, I do hate bad audio and Beats is the epitomy of bad audio!

  • @idontbelieveatalkingsnake7712

    Beats really discourages the audio companies from further putting their efforts on researching the sound qualities, what that means is other companies might follow what beats had done, and putting more money on the marketing than focusing on making better headphone. The result would be very simple, the overall qualities of head phone market will fall.
    A headphone company's first priority should be focusing on making a better headphone.

    Think about what you said "Do you really think there are 20 dollars headphones that sound better than beats?" Yes I do.. In fact it isn't hard to sound better than beats exponential V shaped frequency response.. Take for example the 35-50 bucks Sony MDR-XB400? They not only have better Bass response than ANY BEATS product, they have better clarity and shit tons of mid response compared to beats..
    Please stop saying they sound good, they might sound good for people who don't understand a single shit about sound and I mean people who never listens music outside the supplied earbuds from any Smartphone. The beef with Beats is that outside the fashion thing they suck and suck really bad at doing what they are which is: Being a Headphone! I would not argue about the price of a diamond because it's main porpoise is to be showed off..
    But a Headphone? Specially a 300-500 buck headphone? I mean, do you know how stupid you might look excusing the horrible sound of a headphone saying it's build right? For 300-500 bucks of a headphone lacking in the sound department I expect them to be completely made out of some incredibly expensive materials! Not 18 bucks worth of manufacture costs.
    If you buy a Beat Headphone not only you are the AVERAGE CONSUMER you are also the AVERAGE BRAINWASHED HUMAN and the AVERAGE MUSIC LISTENER you are pretty much stating your IQ buying a Beats Headphone.. But hey I don't mind if you do! I only hope you can now understand by this simple comment what UVC could not explain in a video..
    That is not "Hate" is "Frustration" why people diss the Beats Brand and their AVERAGE Buyer... There are exponentially better sounding headphones out there for much MUCH less the difference is, they aren't Fashion Accessories they do Best what they we're build to do...

    Beats are 'expensive' yes, but for the price they ask, they are worth it *my opinion*. Yes there may be other headphones that produce better quality sounds for a much cheaper price but what you have to remember is that the Beats headphones are not all about the quality of sound but the aesthetics too. There is a market out there for people who will pay top price for great looking products, regardless its functionality. Just look at cars, you can pay £5000 for a standard car or you can pay £75,000 for a luxury car however, they both near enough perform the same function yet, there are people who are willing to spend at top prices. People have their own opinions yes, but the hate is childish, it's just jumping onto the bandwagon and 7 times out of 10, those have probably never tried a Beats headphone. There are many other headphones out there but personally, I haven't seen a better 'looking' headphone than the Beats, yet.

    • @MrHackTheGibson
      @MrHackTheGibson Před 10 lety +3

      Beats are not at ALL about the quality of sound** Fixed that for ya, you're welcome :) I'd much rather have a set of cans that sound good, for 2 reasons: Who gives a shit about how my cans look, they're on my ears. Last I checked, I can't look at my own ears without a mirror. Out of sight, out of mind (plus, other people's opinions about my headset are irrelevant to me, I bought the headphones for MYSELF, not them) ;) Headphones are meant to produce sound, not be a fashion statement. To me, Beats aren't really all that good looking... they remind me of Fisher-Price toys. It's not ALWAYS a trade-off between looks or performance. Grado makes some of the best-looking phones I've seen, plus they sound spectacular... And for the money you'd spend on some "made in China" molded plastic toys with a rapper's name on them, you could easily buy 3 or 4 AMAZING sets of cans.

    • @SWAL3SYx
      @SWAL3SYx Před 10 lety +1

      Sean McNeely - Fair enough if that is how you feel, that is fine by me. One thing I would like to point out though is that they *ARE* about quality of sound. They have to be in order to be a successful high market product *however*, they may not be up to par with the sound quality on other existing headphones but again, this is opinionated and down to consumers interpretations of *quality sound*.
      Yes you may not care whether products look great or not, or how you look to others but that is *you!* There are people out there that *do* care and will pay that extra bit of money to achieve that. Again you state that headphones are meant to produce sound and not be a fashion statement, this is your opinion, you are entitled to that however I disagree and believe that they can be both, if not should be both. *my opinion!*
      Yes these headphones are very expensive and you probably can buy 3 or 4 other amazing headphones for this sort of price, but what you have to understand is that there is a market for those individuals that spend that extra bit for aesthetics. Just like cars, why spend £75,000 on a car when you can get one, second hand for under £1000 yet they both perform similar functions?

    • @PLxFTW
      @PLxFTW Před 10 lety

      ***** Beats are only cost as much as they do because of the name attached to them. There are far far better looking, and better sounding products for similar prices. In the case with most cars, there is a HUGE difference. People pay top dollar for cars such as the Bugatti Veyron because of the engineering and the enormous amount of time spent to make them. Your Beats, are like paying for the Aston Martin Cygnet which is literally just a Toyota iQ with the Aston name badges on it.

    • @SWAL3SYx
      @SWAL3SYx Před 10 lety +2

      PLxFTW - I totally understand your point, yes! They are expensive because of many reasons and yes, the name attached is *one* of them, but there are many companies out there that have similar traits for example *Apple, Alessi, Bose*, so why is it that a lot of people give really bad criticism towards the Beats? I could purchase an iPod for £100, or I could purchase a MP3 player device for as little as £3. Why do the majority of people still purchase the iPod? There are many reasons, but it could be because they look great, unique materials, sophisticated technology, micro size or the overall high quality finish but function wise, it performs exactly the same, or near enough as a standard MP3 player that I could purchase for little as £3. This is a perfect example to show that there is a market out there who are willing to pay top dosh (sometimes ridiculous amounts) for products that look and feel great. Yes Beats may not be the best quality wise, but a good majority of people will admit they look really great and that itself can be enough to persuade a potential consumer to purchase it. *Although there will be people out there that hate the aesthetics!* So if people are willing to spend that much, why not!? I'm sure if anyone brought out a product, they would want to achieve the greatest potential whether realistic or not.
      As for the car example in my previous comment, I wasn't trying to imply that a £5000 car is better or the same as the Bugatti because the contrast then really is different, I was suggesting a £5000 and another car that is similar performance wise however, because of the *design*, the price can jump significantly higher. Would love to hear feedback! (:

    • @Brownboy42069
      @Brownboy42069 Před 10 lety +1

      *****
      Aesthetics is important, I'll give you that much. And Apple, Alessi, and Bose also share traits with Beats. All valid points, but:
      There is such a thing as *overpricing*. People say that an item is worth whatever people are willing to pay, but in my mind that saying is just a knee-jerk justification introduced by companies to explain their high prices. As long as the majority of people can say "wow, these are so pricey" or "wow, this is such a great deal" about an item, then that item is either overpriced or underpriced.
      Apple, Alessi, and Bose share the traits, but you're *incorrect* if you think they don't get the same criticism as Beats. I'll admit I don't know much about Alessi, but Apple and Bose are criticized to the extreme *every single day*. It's a serious oversight to not recognize the huge amount of criticism those two companies get. So no, Beats is not singled out by the Hate Train. It is not a victim, it is not a scapegoat.

    You seem extremely reasonable for Beats! For about 2 years now, I have been using Audio Technica M50x's. They are really good, and do great in sound quality. About a month later, my cousin got me Beat's Solo 2 headphones, and I was starting to have a bad impression on them because of all the hate they were getting. I started listening to them and they didn't sound bd at all! But they just didn't seem to be priced in the 200-300 dollar mark. To the people who hate the Beats, I can understand immediately why people hate Beats. Get it straight guys, they are kind of a rip off, but that is the reality, people do stuff like that, selling something that isn't worth 300 dollars. But we should at least be thankful for any type of headphones we get, even Beats because the main purpose of these kind of headphones are to deliver music, and we need music in our life. So why not just stop the hate, and buy a better pair of headphones that are cheap. I'm not a very picky customer, as long as it delivers music to me, I enjoy it. Thank you for this very good video!

      They dont break easily unless u dont look after them. Ive had my pair of studios for over 2 years now and have never had to change or replace anything.

      that's a straight up lie man. $20 headphones really?? Please tell me how beats break easily and don't have great sound quality.

    • @SkynetTeamDREADWING
      @SkynetTeamDREADWING Před 10 lety

      Tonker29 really now. Cuz I do take care of my items specially if its more than $200 bucks. It was an old Studio which broke when I put it on my head for use.
      I dont even do stupid things with it such as trying any kinds of stress test. Though I would say that my inspiration is built better than Beats Studios. I've had 3 Beats before [1 solo, 2 studios] and I have experience with them

    No one is bitching about the advertising, or why these headphones are popular, they just care about how good they are. For the most part, they are pretty low quality, for a VERY high price for the headphones! More base doesn't equal high quality, and if someone with a pair of decent quality earbuds, would not really care to much about the beats in comparison. Hes just a beats fanboy, and its quite apparent when in a lot of his videos, hes wearing them!

    Celebrities I understand but It's not that people can't afford them...it's just that smarter people can find better & smarter ways to spend $400-$600 like putting food on the table, pay 1-2 weeks rent in advance, sending kids to school, invest in college/university education. most people I know that brought & wear these catch the bus knowning they are always broke. $600 is a small deposit on a car. and sorry mate Beats do scream out "cock extension"

    • @Jamac007
      @Jamac007 Před 10 lety

      Again there are smarter purchases in this world. but you wouldn't know, congrats for a useless comment. They are $400-$600 in NZ and upto $500 in Australia and really the rest of the world like beats?? wake up dude most people hate them,
      Do you think the starving from India or Africa would give a rats arse about beats?...how about NO.
      Most people would rather buy i.e Sennheisers, Bose, Sol Republics some to name a few but better quality & half the price.
      Other than rich celebrities who can afford them everyone else that wears them is a try hard wannabe that catches the bus when he could of brought a car with his $600 as a deposit.
      So move along son and free yourself from this brainwash marketing.

      Good points but even if it is pretty expensive it's not seen as a necessity but more as a special item to have yes the money could have been spent better but people do enjoy a bit of fun in there life.

    This point of view seems to be from someone who listens to mostly rap and r&b. People who favor other genres of music probably don't care about bass and thumping as much when they're listening for the actual vocals and instruments. Beats muddy the rest of the sound by focusing too much on the low end. From that perspective, they do sound bad and inferior to lower priced headphones for musical clarity. Beats are marketed at the bass crowd, bass style of music and trendy people who like fashionable things. Even at that, they are distastefully overpiced but if someone wants to spend their money on them, that's fine. It's their money. I think people who know the difference just want to let other consumers know that there's better options for overall balance and clarity.

      You can get a Sony MDR-XB500 for €35 It already got the same OVERPOWERED BASS as the Beats Studio.
      Screw it open change the cables by some higher quality cables for about $20 - $30 and you maybe even have better sound quality Then the overpriced beats.....
      i don't care how it looks or how durable it is

      By the way, Beats are actually mediocre for the price range.
      Not bad, just bad for the price.
      Look up ATH M50 vs Beats pro

    When it comes to sound quality, I feel that Beats basically just raise the subs up to fucking INFINITY, lower the shit out of the mids, and don't give enough highs to clarify the sound.

  • @neocollective
    @neocollective Před 8 lety +1

    I guess we hate companies that deceive and overcharge customers, and consequently feel sorry for those that support them. When I see someone wearing Beats I don't see a cool person, I see a very insecure audio ignorant. Beats (just like Bose) create products that fool the untrained ear to think they sound great because they are bass heavy and have crisp highs but nothing in between, and as we know most of the musical content lays in the mids that you refer to.
    You make a good point that makes me appreciate Beats somewhat: they really got a lot of people out of their earbuds and initiated in the world of audio, and now that they know better when they are ready to upgrade they will be glad to do it for half the price !
