It's not the length of the ride that makes it good, it's whether you roll over or break it... lol

I process and edit all of this content myself so it can take a while. We have content coming from West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Northern Ontario!! Barry Weigle I can't thank you enough for your kind comments. Really makes me feel like it's worth all the effort when I hear feedback like yours. I make these videos for all of you guys because I remember when I was getting ready to buy my first RZR there wasn't many videos out there that answered all of the questions I had. That was a big reason I started making the videos originally, to fill that void. I never expected things to turn into what they are now. I'm blessed to have all the support I do from all of you guys. I've met so many great people since I started making the videos and my future goals are to hit the trails and ride with as many of you guys as I can. Thanks again for the kind words!

    nice to see some trail footage! ! if im not mistaken the 2018 x3 have a different front diff mine does not look like the 2017's the 2017 also had issues with ring gear bolt backing out and cracking the case.

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety +1

      Joe Wilson you are correct. In the 2018's Can-Am fixed this problem and the update for the 2017 is basically
      Turning it into a 2018 diff for lack of better terms. The 2018s use the bigger sized axles and like you mentioned they also fixed a few other bugs. There are always gremlins in early model years of a chassis. It's great to see companies like Can-Am and Polaris taking an active role correcting issues like this between model years. Thanks for watching and chiming in with some good information.

    How you know when you blew a belt and what are some other maintenance to watch out for to save money without going to the shop

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 5 lety

      Hey man, good questions. I should make a video going over some of that stuff. Usually you will feel some hesitation or "belt slip" when the belt is getting ready to fail. The machine won't accelerate as hard or might feel a little hesitant off the line as the belt has stretched. Also, often the belt will start to smell like burnt rubber as it starts to fall apart before it "explodes". I often inspect my belt every so often. You will be able to see small cracks on the side of the belt cogs when it starts to get worn out. Sometimes you may see small pieces missing off the top of the belt or the sides too. If you see that then it's usually a good idea to change the belt. After a while you'll get a good idea of how much life you can expect out of a belt. I can usually tell when my belt is starting to fail.

    Engine noise > techno music. Vids are better without that music

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety

      Hey Paul Fredrick, I agree. But the GoPro did something funky this ride and the mic glitched out. I've been working on perfecting the audio but there was a lot of white noise in the recording so I had to put some music in to drown it out. It would have been awful otherwise. If you pay attention the music fades away when I'm using my big camera. It's actually really hard to get good audio while riding, especially when going faster. The wind noise is brutal. I think I've just about perfected it now though so the newer videos will have improved audio. It's a constant learning curve. It seems everyone prefers engine noise for the most part and i do too. Usually I'll only add music when the audio is bad or to break up certain slow sections. I do appreciate the constructive feedback. Love knowing what you guys are thinking. Thanks for the comment!

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety +1

      Hey Barry, glad you enjoyed the video! My opinion is that the best trail machine out there right now bang for buck, capability wise, aftermarket support wise and reliability wise is the Polaris RZR XP 1000. I think it's a well rounded machine that offers a proven chassis and drive train with a fair price point. My second choice bang for buck as far as a trail machine is concerned would be a Polaris RZR 900S or RZR 1000S. Personally I like the 1000XP more as it has a little more jam in the top end, much better suspension and massive aftermarket support. I'd get a basic Polaris RZR XP without anything on it from the dealer and turn it into whatever I want using all the great aftermarket options out there. I do suggest getting the extended warranty if you don't plan on going too crazy with hardcore modifications. I would get at least 3 years. If you plan on tuning the engine and putting a lift on it or anything extreme down those lines you probably wont need over a year of warranty as you will end up voiding most of it anyways. I used to preach how amazing the Polaris warranty is but the last few months my local dealer and Polaris have been disappointing me over and over again. I wish I never dished out all the money for extended warranty as my local dealer does not seem to have my back. It's really upsetting because I have been pushing Polaris so hard the last 5+ years here on CZcams and I feel I'm getting punished for it rather than supported.

      Stacy, I still think the 2011-2014 Polaris RZR 900 XP's are some of the best trail machines out there. Especially now since you can get them for such a great deal used. My 2014 900 XP still did better on some of this technical stuff than my XPT does. I honestly love all the machines. My favourite rides are the ones where there is a large variety of various machines. Really let's you see the strengths and weaknesses of all the various models. Like I always say, it doesn't really matter what your riding as long as your out riding!!

    • @stacyreid5077

      AdrenalineJunkieProd there's that truth serum again. I may joke about what someone rides especially when it's new or we are extremely good friends but no matter I love riding with pretty much whoever will ride and have fun doing so and not be to serious about. I know my Commander isn't the best trail machine or the best machine for work but with the lift kit it throws me into a pretty good mix

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety +2

      Ya Stacy, busting chops out on the trail is one of the best parts. When you ride with a group of friends it's for fun but at the same time it's always a bit of a competition too. The competitive nature of it is what really makes it fun. Everyone wants to show what their machine is capable of and what they are capable of as drivers. Friendly competition is always great in my opinion. We nag and bust chops but at the end of the day we are all there to support each other and help each other out when the going gets tough or when someone runs into issues. Arguably off-roading as a sport was started after the war when soldiers returned and started getting their hands on surplus jeeps. Knowing what they were capable of on the battle front they naturally adapted those abilities to a fun pastime. It was a good way for them to get together and maintain the bonds they built over the hard times they had when deployed. That's what makes this such a brotherhood and that's why no matter what happens out on the trail you NEVER leave a man down. Off-roading is a lifestyle not just a hobby to me.

      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety +1

      Ya drew3406, #turbolife lol. I have a heavy foot and often can't help myself. The RZR turbos are bad for eating belts. I've tried most the belts on the market. I'm gonna do some clutch mods this winter and a few more CVT cooling upgrades which will hopefully extend my belt life. I usually only blow belts prematurely on the track or if I'm ripping wide open for a long time. If I only did Trail they would last wayyy longer.

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 5 lety +1

      The smaller machines don't blow belts like the turbo models do. Even the 1000XP is way better on belts. The torque spikes on the turbo charged machines really stress out the belt as do long sections of wide open throttle. The wildcat and the 900S for example don't make close to as much power so the belts don't endure close to as much stress or heat.

      Hey Erik Desormiers, they are safe. The only thing that's happened is there just isn't enough time in the day. It's a struggle juggling my daily responsibilities, work life, personal life and relationships and still find time to ride, wrench and edit. Sometimes it's a struggle and unfortunately I have to prioritize other tasks ahead of spending countless hours editing. CZcams does not pay the bills, not even close. Unfortunately CZcams doesn't even come close to
      Covering the costs of the RZR or all the camera gear and computer equipment I need to make this happen. I'm working on some swag like I mentioned in the video and will be setting up a patreon account shortly to possibly help increase revenue a little so I can put a little more time into the channel. I will upload all the content from WV last year. I wish it was already done but I'm trying to do my best balancing everything. How loud is that Straight pipe on the yellow X3 compared to, say, a 450?

      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 5 lety

      It's loud Jmac, it's the loudest machine in the group. It sounds freaking evil though. I love it. When he slams the gas hard it's really loud, definitely similar to a 450.

      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 6 lety

      I wouldn't go as far as saying it's terrible michael, but your opinion has been noted. Appreciate your feedback. I explain why there is music in earlier comments. Anytime you add music to a video you risk upsetting a few people because taste in music varies a lot. That's why most of my videos have no music or barely any. I would consider the music in this video very neutral.

    I like your videos but breaking trail is not cool. Stuff like this makes it look bad for all of us. Many trails are being shut down around my area do to people doing this. Respect the sport and stay on trails.

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  Před 5 lety

      Hey Bryan. Im stoked you like the videos and I respect trails, as does our riding group. The guy driving the Yellow X3 owns all of this property. Most of the technical trails you see us riding are all on private property and built by us in this very method. Most of the trails we ride are on property owned by riders in the group. Many of the guys have been riding these trails for over 30 years. If it's not owned by us we have permission to be there from the property owners. It is NOT people like us that get trails shut down. Before you place blame and point fingers please make sure you have the facts down, as like you said, off-roaders have a bad enough name as it. Even as an off-roader yourself you jumped to conclusions and stereotyped us for being "the problem". I'm not offended or upset, just want to highlight that not everything is always as it seems. A better approach to your comment would have been to ask if this is private property or a public trail system. Others will come here, read a few lines of your comment and assume we are actually disrespecting trail ethics when we aren't. Off-roading is my passion and my favourite pastime, the last thing I want to do is harm the industry I'm so invested in.

      @@bryand2978 Like I said, no hard feelings at all man. I agree with what you said, people that tear up property they shouldn't are one of the main reasons trails keep getting shut down.. Stoked you like the videos, many more on the way. Happy new year, hope you have an awesome year of riding.
