I started a Minecraft server and it was the worst decision of my life. The SDMP is a Minecraft server for Sleep Deprived and all of our pals like ConnorEatsPants, Fitz, Swaggersouls, and more. Enjoy I guess.

Wow, the old editing made me experience some heavy nostalgia. One thing I’ll say, though, is that the old videos didn’t have so many cuts, which I think was for the better.
the subject of my fast cuts is a common point, that even schlatt brings up, with the videos that i work on
i am trying harder to layback with the cuts, especially with this video, but i would lying if i didn’t say that i was also afraid of the video being too long, especially since its 20 mins long already which is already much longer than most of the older SMPLive Videos
either way, rlly appreciate the valid feedback, and i will def work on that point with future SDMP vids :)

This is almost perfectly sums up the stream but just misses one key detail. The women coming up to Schlatt asking for a Tampon Mod was an ongoing bit that seemed out of place. They essentially cut the past interaction with them when they said stuff like “oh well I’m gonna go, I feel like I’m going to start bleeding” and other really stupid shit milking the whole “woman” meme.
editor here, i chose to keep that specific part in, not because of the women, but rather the part that follows as a result, when lark and meowriza look at schlatts base, it wouldn’t have made much sense if i only kept the part of them in schlatts base without the part that precedes it
it plays into the bit of people telling connor that ppl have been coming up to him, telling him banksy is on the server, and that’s kinda what this video was centered around
but ye in hindsight, we had enough stuff realistically to be able to cut it out at that point
you could also say the same thing about them watching mika at the theatre form a continuous loop, like it doesn’t really make sense for the storyline, and could’ve been cut, but hey, it’s there now
editing this video in this older style has taught me a lot about how i should handle future SDMP videos, so hopefully in the future, they will be more cohesive in nature :)
