I love you so much it hurts me
Darlin' that's why I'm so blue
I'm so afraid to go to bed at night
I'm afraid of losing you
I love you so much it hurts me
And there's nothing I can do
I want to hold you my dear, forever and ever
I love you so much it hurts me so
I want to hold you my dear, forever and ever
I love you so much it hurts me so
I love you so much it hurts me so... - Hudba
Great Song!
What a beautiful song Merle sung. Wonderful Entertainer?
This song brings back favorite childhood memories of my Grandfather singing it to my Grandmother back in the late 70's early 80's.
Floyd Tillman was a true Texan and sang this song in Houston, Texas many many times He was a great one too...and of course Merle was one of the best! Makes for a good song! Janelle in Houston
Oh that voice! Unbeatable! There is some great talent today but the clarity and perfect pitch of Merle’s voice remains and always will, THE GREATEST country artist! R.I. p.
I love Merle too but in my opinion Johnny Cash is the greatest.
You,all never know
Oh my, when I'm finished being old and gray all I'm going to have left is the Martin D-28 I've not yet found and always missed, and that guitar will be purchased with the money saved me by the women who smiled and turned their backs and walked away.
I love you all SOOo much.
You’ll be able to buy every D-28 in Nashville...(unless you kept one of those gals). 😆
Beautiful! Oh to be loved that much! Thank you!
another Awesome!! song
Great job with tunes thanks
Great track !
A great old song written by Lefty Frizzell that Merle included on his 2001 album titled, "Root's".
If you look at the Floyd Tillman version (with record photo) Floyd apparently wrote it.
.. yep !
Floyd Tillman wrote this back in the 1940s.

what year did this come out?50's?
Originally written and recorded by Floyd Tillman in 1948. Somebody including Ray Charles, Andy Williams, John Prine, Madeline Peyroux has had a hit with it in every decade since then except maybe the 1980s. Merle's version came out in 2002 on an album called the Peer Sessions.
