The Herman's Hermits were one of the most popular groups of the British Invasion of '64-'66. There was nothing "heavy" about the band, their music was catchy and jangly, and most of all, fun. The Hermits had a huge number of hits in the US and the UK and lead singer Peter Noone still tours today singing those hits. I'm Into Something Good was written by the legendary songwriting team of Gerry Goffin and Carole King. Some of the other great bands of the British Invasion were the Dave Clark Five, Manfred Mann, The Searchers, The Animals, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and of course, the Stones and the Beatles.

Another great group from my youth. One of the pop bands who were part of the British Invasion in the 60's. They had a lot of hits such as "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter", "I’m Henry VIII, I Am”, "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "Listen People", "Leaning On A Lamp-post", "Dandy", "Sunshine Girl", "Something's Happening", "My Sentimental Friend", "Silhouettes", "Wonderful World", "Just A Little Bit Better", "A Must To Avoid", "No Milk Today", "There's A Kind Of Hush" "This Door Swings Both Ways" etc.

Mid-sixties. British Invasion. Lead singer is Peter Noone who still performs. Other songs to try: I'm Henry VIII, Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, Dandy, A Must To Avoid and There's A Kind of Hush.

I was 9 when this came out and l had a slight crush on the singer. For some reason l remember his whole name, Peter Blair Dennis Bernard Noone. Haha! I think he said his family couldn't pick just one middle name.
Anyway, nice childhood memory of fun, clean music.

They were introduced to American audiences just as the Beatles emerged in 1963/64. They had an incredible string of hits. I would suggest that next you try, "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter."

oh heck i remember them, a 4 man band formed in 1964 in Manchester UK by lead singer Peter Noone. Their last hit reached number 13 in the charts in 1970. They're known for there breezy sing along lyrics and cheecky chappy style. Peter Noone often sang the lyrics often very tongue in cheek, As if finding great fun the lyrics. Some people considered them as a "poor mans" Uk version of The Beach Boys with the light hearted bouncy music.

You should check out the group called Steven N Seagulls. I recommend to start off with Thunderstruck and then check out November Rain. They are a very unique band and their covers are awesome and will bring a huge smile to your face and make you go WTF

Other great hits from the Hermits include "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "Just a Little Bit Better", "Silhouettes", "A Must to Avoid", "Kind of a Hush" and "No Milk Today." And let me add The Kinks to my list of great British Invasion bands, with hits like "You Really Got Me", "All Day and All of the Night", "Till the End of the Day", "Well Respected Man", and "Dedicated Follower of Fashion."
