She is absolutely saying the truth. African does not support his own people except the Kenya's. They are very patriotic.

Before you make general statements, try to get your facts. Nigerians support Nigerian businesses and that's the same case with Ghanaians. We should stop this foolishness of jumping into a bandwagon of condemning African people's behaviour without proof

Liberians lack the spirit of patriotism; we prefer to support others than ourselves. She is saying it just right. It's sad though.
But I'm hopeful that we can improve.

Theresa, I sometimes wonder what the rudimentary cause of this kind of trend is, but let's hope that discussing it in this public manner would create an awareness of national interest, hence the support for each other. Thank you...

Liberians are usually late to everything. Just 2023, in mn for example we saw the emergent of an African store called ‘waterside Market’ I believed to be 💯 Liberian own tht is supported by Liberians. It’s like we gotta choose everyone else first, suffer the hard way than come back to our own. It’s rooted in self hate and stereotypes. But in Everythin, there are good and bad but to be honest, liberians are very supportive of each other. How u think so many of us ended in philly, Minnesota and the likes. It’s thru connection

Same thing is happening to me here in St. Louis MO. My Nigerian don't come to my store, few that comes they visit to see what you have and do price check and then tells you your store are expensive and some of them will leave without buying anything.

So who did you have in mind when were opening the business. Also, you can't expect people to purchase from your store when your prices are way higher than your competition within the same business.
